StrongandMighty:Islam is a religion of peace, they did the acts on behalf of themselves, nobody sent them, it's annoying. Government should wade in to stop this reoccurring nonsense. We have bad sects in every religion..... If you're quoting against Islam, what about the 28 year old Australia man who shoots and killed 48 Muslims worshipers and another 49 sustain serious injury? We have bad sects in every religion,. Whenever such acts happens it's the duty of Nigeria government to identify them and allow the law to take its course. |
South West on the verge: Dapo Lam-Adesina Urges Caution, Wants Yoruba Leaders To Wade In Dissatisfied with the way supporters of the two leading presidential aspirants from the southwest— Asiwaju Bola Tinubu and vice-president Yemi Osinbajo, are taking the campaigns, a former member of the house of representatives, Adedapo Lam-Adesina, has called for caution. Lam-Adesina, who is a son of late former governor Lamidi Adesina, made this known in a statement issued in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital. The All Progressives Congress, APC, Stalwart said that he was concerned with the ugly development not only because he is a member of the party but because he hails from the southwest and wants the best for the country in general and the south west in particular. According to him, “We are setting a bad precedence. It is so unfortunate that this is happening and everybody is going on as if it is normal. If care is not taken, our party may be badly hit. Our region most importantly might be the worst hit. And this would mean we haven’t learned from the past and can be said to be “self inflicted”. If they don’t know, these two individuals aren’t enemies. They are just pursuing their ambitions. Let’s campaign based on deliverables and not name calling. It is enough. He admonished the youths for allowing themselves to be used as tools for such division amongst some of the best personalities from the South west at this time. What I expect we do as youths, is to call on our leaders to close ranks and work together so that they can bring home the presidency instead of us attacking one another on social media. We all have a constitutional right under the law to support whomever we want, but we should do that with all decorum and not expand the dichotomy that is already existing amongst our leaders. He also made reference to the misunderstanding between Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola and others- and said “Our traditional rulers, elders, irrespective of party and religious affiliation should please wade into the matter. “We shouldn’t allow ourselves to be used against one another. If care is not taken, The Yorubas may lose out of this power play. This is another time when we have our people well-placed to take the mantle of leadership. It is a rare privilege for us,” Never again should we tag a Yorubaman/Woman the best president Nigeria never had. May Nigeria succeed. United we stand, divided we fall-He said. |
