Proper definition of Niger Area coming out osazeeblue01: FEK and Fayose is the one representing the yoruba nation while Tinubu is after power and he does not care about his people. This Fulani issue is very serious they are the one representing boko haram, is not an issue they should over look. Serious action need to be taken now. Tinubu is pursuing his personal and selfish interest. |

Gbawe: His appeal will be set aside. Wait and see. Was there no proof of electoral malpractice necessitating the removal of Wike and the ordering of a rerun? You must have seen the next APC Judge ruling file to know Wike's appeal 'will' be set aside. |
Politics › Re: Expose By Saharareporters Led To Governor Wike’s Removal By Elections Tribunal by Firefire(m): 8:56am On Oct 26, 2015 |
Gbawe: In my opinion, it is a foregone conclusion that is appeal will fail. We are not in PDP Nigeria where Judges can grant judgement that makes no sense. The rigging in Rivers means Wike was dismissed with solid evidence that proved electoral malpractice. Let us keep watching. What I know is that the Judiciary remains independent yet under a President that wants strong institution, Judges will now have to explain 'strange' judgements. Don't you feel all options provided by the law must be exhusted before making any conclusion? Wike remains the governor until Supreme Court ruling. |

The change is all about returning power to the North by all means, this was fulfilled already. You see APC has denied all the campaign promises already, so expect nothing else. |

Gbawe: Not if he keeps increasing the number of criminal charges that can be brought against him now he no longer enjoys immunity. Wike remains the governor of Rivers if he appeal the Tribunal's ruling within 21 days, the Court of Appeal has 90 Days to rule on his application. If the Appeal court uphold the Tribunal's ruling, he can thereafter appeal to the Supreme Court. Only the Supreme Court can unseat Wike, thereafter he hands over to the Speaker for the re-run. Why all this court proceedings are taking place, Wike remains the governor with His FULL immunity. Please take your time to read the Electoral Act. Thank you. E&OE |

Politics › Re: The Time For Yorubas To Leave Nigeria Is Now – Oodua Peoples Congress by Firefire(m): 5:04am On Oct 26, 2015 |
Summary:
The summit strongly condemned what it described as the “ invasion and killing of people in Yoruba territories ” by the Fulani herdsmen.
“National Insecurity and the Menace of Fulani Herdsmen in Yorubaland.” The participants also decried the continued oppression of the Yoruba in their homeland by armed Fulani herdsmen.
They demanded an immediate end to lawless nomadic activities in the South West warning that any community who cannot establish ranches for their flock should retreat from Yoruba territories.
“The Yoruba people are no longer ready to tolerate mindless encroachment on their means of livelihood by any ungrateful tenants”,
The summit said failure to restructure Nigeria using the 2014 confab report might force the Yoruba people to review her place in a political arrangement that cannot guarantee the protection of her citizens.
Buhary MUST implement the 2014 Confab report or the Yoruba Nation would seek other means to review her social and political interest in the amalgamation of Niger Area. |

Ola17: I'm really speeches on the recent happenings. 5 months is enough time to see the direction of this government but so far, nothing is happening, absolutely nothing.
The media has conveniently blacked out most of the problems they highlighted during GEJ but you and I know that those problems are still there, in fact things are getting worse. I don't want to sound pessimistic but sometimes I'm tempted to think that the country had better prospects under GEJ.
God please let this not be a case of 'from frying pan to fire' It is well. |
