You are right. But as I said, I'm not saying Tinubu will win, I said the emergence of Obi is what is giving him a fighting chance.

Imagine a scenario with Atiku in PDP and maybe Obi as VP or Obi did not move to labour and got voted out in the PDP primaries which will make it a straight fight between Tinubu and Atiku.

If Tinubu makes the Pope his VP he can NEVER win SE- cleared for PDP
If he makes Wike his VP he can only drag SS with PDP (he would still get his 25% in some of the states there though)

Which still brings the battle ground back to the North. With that, the defeat for him would have been landslide.

What is giving him a fighting chance now is because he's sure that Atiku's usual block vote from the SE and SS is no more there.
The only SW state LP can get above 30% is Lagos and maybe Ogun, other states is 20% or less.

Which brings me to the conclusion that we are not likely to see anyone getting 25% in 24 states as stipulated.

When it now comes to run off (depending on which 2 among the 3 leading contestants will qualify for that) its a different ball game entirely, the narrative will change totally. We saw something similar to a run off in Osun State the last time, which resulted in the deal that brought Omisore back to APC. Many underhand dealings would have to be made.
