21st is still early though but notwithstanding, you will get a decision soon. My wife is the main applicant and we did our biometric on 14th at ikeja tls and on 21st we made a paid call which decision has been made already. Waiting for it to move to VAC

Hello Heeyhun, have you heard from the embassy now, I also did my biometrics on the 21st and have not heard back. Hoping to hear from you. Cheers.

Please who is applying for the student visa from Abu Dhabi UAE?

I'm in UAE as well but I think it's preferable to apply from Nigeria. Though I haven't seen anyone who applied from UAE yet

CAS usually expires after 6 months

Thanks for this! Does it mean I shouldn't apply for admission yet for May 2022 so as not to render my CAS invalid prior to my visa application which is going to begin next year

Good Morning great Nairalanders!!

Please I need your candid advise cos I'm applying to a school in UK for May 2022 intake. My confusion is that will it be an issue for me to successfully apply this year and have CAS issued while I process my visa next year February or March.

Is it mandatory to process visa as soon as CAS is issued. Though I know one can't travel until at least a month to start of ones course.

I currently live and work in the middle east and plan to return to Nigeria for my visa process next year.

High point of my question is; Will a CAS issued to me for May intake still valid to apply my visa next year.

Thank you all. We shall all succeed together IJN

Good day everyone. Please I just recently got admission to Chester university. And I would like to know about the accomodation costs in Chester.
-Do they demand that first 2 months must be paid for? Or can I pay purely on a month by month basis?
-What affordable options are available within Chester?
-Is it advisable to live in the student hostel compared to staying outside?

Accommodation in Chester is affordable according to a friend that moved in April. I’m enrolling into Chester university as well. Can we inbox each other

Firstly, IRCC don't have a good reputation for granting study permit to expatriate especially those based in middle east.
Secondly, you are self sponsored and you're going for a 2 years course, to be on a safe side regarding proof of fund, ensure you have funds for for 1st and second year tuition, and at least first year living expenses.

Thank you man I’ll work on that

I know you feel terrible about the visa rejection but you should've seen this coming. After a certain age, going to TAFE is suspicious especially if you already have a bachelors plus years of work experience. The education industry is a major source of revenue for the Australian Govt, they are more interested in Intl students going to Universities to pay exorbitant tuition fees than people using TAFE as a decoy to enter their country. This is why TAFE has a low approval rate, their tuition fees are low and most of the students don't have genuine intentions.

People here have asked you about the true state of your employment letter but you've ignored the questions. If you applied with fake documents, don't waste your time and money to get an immigration lawyer, the 3 years ban won't be waived. You have to wait for 3 years before applying for any visa, including spousal visa. The ban is only waived for people who overstayed their visas (even this is very difficult to get), not people who used fake docs. Plus getting married soon after the student visa rejection reeks of desperation, and won't help your application at all. So you have to plan carefully to avoid further bans.

I usually don't bother about this sort of posts. But I'm trying to correct the impression that if an application is denied and the applicant banned, getting an immigration lawyer will solve the problem. No it won't. I'm also concerned about the way you simplified the ban, as if you're encouraging other applicants to use fake docs.

Visa applicants should use genuine docs and avoid using TAFE COE at all cost.

Well spoken! On what ground did I encourage other to use fake documents. I have all my documents genuine and confirmed including bank statements worth of 25 million sitting there. The whole mess was from agent cos all corresponding information is being sent to him. Fine the DIBP email him for my employment letter and he's suppose to bring to my awareness then I'll get it solve as I work in a private company. But all he did is take decision to make forge of his hoping they won't verify it. Unknowingly the sent a rep to visit there and I don't even know which company he used until he got another mail asking for comment about the non genuine documents. House, I'm only sharing my experience for others to learn and avoid anything bogus so as not to fall victim. That's all! God help us all as we journey in life.... One Love

Hmmmm! Have to take heart anyway! Got my visa rejected with decision from DIBP yesterday. The worst part is I got 3 years ban from applying any visa to Australia. This happens as a result of employment letter which could not be verified. God will grant everyone expecting his/her visa on this platform. I would get immigration lawyer in Aussie so the ban could be waived cos my Aussie partner will be in Naija for marriage so I'll file for spouse visa

I heard from DIBP on Friday my people, all documents I provide plus statements of account has been screened. I got immi s57 natural justice email to make comments on the employment letter I provided that according to there check, the found it non genuine. I've made my comment in writing and sent to case officer. I'm on mountain praying and fasting cos nothing God cannot do. I'm suppose to get grant on Friday though

Lately most posts here have Been about visa delay.
Well, sometime last year, I got my grant exactly a month from application.
However, you all fail to understand that this is peak period. Like Nigeria isn't the only country these folks are attending to, and cos it's closer to July intake the rush is iskaba. I urge you to take chill pills, and keep hope alive.
Aussie hardly rejects student visa, except your case get what I will call Covfefe.
Take your mind away from this stuff.. get busy. It is as difficult as shii yh? But try
