Imagine she has never heard any of Dare's song and she got paid half a million dollars to co-host! And she had to youtube Dare to see what his music is about after the invite.... Now let me hear any one here say nigerian artists are known internationally... Nigeria music has a long way to go. Like I always say. Whether psquare sings with akon or rick ross, or dbanj gets signed to good music, the fact remains that our music can't fit into the international scene. Let's stop hyping our artist for what's not.. They are ALL locals! ![]() In between why wasnt she asked what D'banj role in good music is? ![]() |

@ Payless.... To solve this issue just tell him to go back to that bank and demand to see the manager. Let him explain the issue and demand a refund. I tell you the banker will fear even before ur bro sees the manager and would give him his 10k back |
payless: Just today I told him he should have opened an account with the bank but he said it is not a good bank. I do have problem with him offering 10,000 naira and them accpeting it. He termed it as tip for their help and I call it bribery. 10,000 naira is nothing much to me but I just hate the fact that the Voters' card and National ID were also rejected. Why must it be only drivers' license and International Passport are the only accpetable form of identification? My brother most banks have western union outlets. He should have simply gone to the bank he uses to get the money out. National Id card, voters card, drivers license, int passport are accepted by all banks. They simply used his expired DL to make him see the transaction as impossible and demanded money to get his money out..... The solution out now is for him to go back and demand a refund.... He should go straight to the manager and state his situation. Simple!!! |
payless: Anyone is entitled to his or her opinion. I trust my brother any day any time. It was his desperation to use the money that cost him 10,000 naira. This is now gone and I won't be sending any western union ever again. He had a "deal" with them which his bribery to me no matter how he put it. I spoke to the officer myself telling him I just sent the money from U.S about an hour ago and he said they accept only International Passport or Unexpired License. Then it looks like you offered the bribe not he bankers demands. If you didn't meet their requirements then why not just walk into another bank branch... *shiekena* |
payless: I told him exactly this but he took it as if those people doing him a favor. I have never sent Western Union before and it was his first time getting Western Union too. I will never do anything like that again. Normally, I do wire transfer but he needeed the money urgently and I could not help him with the money because it was night here and I told him I would go to the ATM machine at 8am in the morning, which is 2pm Nigerian time to send the money. I asked him the closest bank and he said UBA, Dopemu.YOUR BOTHER IS LYING TO YOU IF HE ISN'T WILLING TO GO SEE THE BRANCH MANAGER. THOSE WHO COLLECTED THE BRIBE FROM HIM WOULD BE SACKED!!! I HAVE BEEN INTO COUNTLESS BANK BRANCHES TO RECEIVE MONEY BY WESTERN UNION AND I KNOW HOW THEY ARE ALWAYS WAITING FOR YAHOO BOYZ BRIBES. THEY OBVIOUSLY THOUGHT HE IS A YAHOO BOY AND USED A SLIGHT EXCUSE TO DEMAND FOR BRIBE. IF YOU WERE IN NIGERIA, ILL ASK YOU TO TAKE A WALK TO FIRST BANK DUGBE BRANCH IN IBADAN, THEN YOU'LL KNOW WHAT I'm TALKING ABOUT THEY BANKERS THERE EVEN CHIT CHAT WITH THE YAHOO BOYS ON HOW THEY MAKE MONEY AND DISCUSS OPENLY. THE WESTERN UNION UNIT THERE LOOKS LIKE THAT'S WHERE THESE YAHOO BOYS GO TO BROWSE THE INTERNET. TELL HIM TO GO BACK FOR HIS MONEY |
payless: Is he right to have paid N10,000 bribe to receive WU without correct ID?TELL HIM TO GO BACK AND DEMAND FO THE TEN THOUSAND NAIRA!!! THE BANKERS WHO TOOK THE BRIBE WILL GIVE HIM THE TEN THOUSAAND IF HE DEMANDS TO SEE THE BRANCH MANAGER. THEY OBVIOUSLY ARE EXPOSED TO THOSE YAHOO BOYS BRIBE THAT'S WHY THEY WANT A BRIBE FROM HIM |

A giant asteroid, about the size of half a football field, will hurtle close by earth this week, coming nearer to the planet than communication and weather satellites. Gardner-Webb University professor Don Olive described the 150-foot rock as "an oblong-type object tumbling through space" and said, most likely, humans will witness no affect from the asteroid. Although it's not unusual for asteroids to fly past or even strike Earth, Olive said one this size comes close only once every four decades. This particular rock has been tracked by scientists since February of 2012. If the asteroid were to strike earth, Olive said it could be compared to about 2.4 million tons of TNT exploding. "It would be a pretty significant event," he said. "It would blow down trees and kill everything in its strike zone." The only similar comparison he could offer was when an asteroid fell to earth and exploded five miles from the surface in Siberia, Russia, in 1908. "It's almost assured its going to happen again," Olive said. The good news is, there are minimal chances of an asteroid of that magnitude striking a large city. Olive said two thirds of the Earth is covered in water and only a small fraction of the land contains cities. "We're actually a small target," he said. Olive said smaller asteroids frequently enter the Earth's atmosphere but burn up and appear as shooting stars. "Somewhere around 15,000 tons of meteors hit the earth every year, but most of it is the size of dust particles," he said. The 130-metric-ton asteroid is expected to fly by Friday. It can't be seen with the naked eye, and Olive said m ost astronomical telescopes aren't designed to track something moving that quickly. He said it will only take about 40 seconds for the space rock to cross the full moon. A nd it will only spend about an hour and a half passing through the " geosynchronous ring," the area where communications and weather satellites orbit around the earth. "When things pass closer than that (geosynchronous) ring of satellites, then the fear is that an asteroid could hit some of our satellites and knock out communications systems or knock out important satellites," he said. "This asteroid is going to pass well within that ring." Although it could potentially hit a satellite, Olive said the probability is small. Despite the slight chances, he said various satellite companies are keeping an eye on the asteroid and NASA is regularly updating the rock's position. "When this asteroid passes by earth it's going to be affected by earth's gravity so it's going to be flung out into space and we don't know what its orbit is going to be," Olive said. "Astronomers are watching for the next few months to see what it's going to do next. We don't really know what's going to happen after that."
