Ngwakwe: The participating parties representatives were on ground and agreed to have the election on Sunday.

Secondly, there are indications that the election was outrightly stopped and rejected by the people and the parties' reps for the late arrival of election materials by 1-2pm afternoon.

Based on the above incidents, the decision to postpone the election to Sunday was taken on that spot in agreement with the representatives.
That is the question who are the representative? Inec should come out and give the names and parties of those who took the decision for the election to be held on sunday? I think APC is right to boycott today election.

Live on AIT Prof attahiru jega admit that the electoral officer in charge of idemili north messed-up the election arrangement for idemili north and the electoral officer will be handover to the police for prosecution. He also said the community agree that the election should be reschedule for sunday 17th, which APC has now boycott.

But now who are the stakeholder from the community, who agree for a reschedule election on sunday? Anambra is predominately Christian, Although APC has already pull-out of the reschedule election for sunday.

Islam17 Igbos, 2 Others Convert To Islam by fkaz(op): 9:52am On Nov 16, 2013
New Muslim converts consisting of 17 Igbos, one Yoruba and a Northern Hausa Christian were yesterday in Abuja charged to uphold the tenets of Islam in order not the lose the essence of their conversion.
The Chief Imam of Abuja National Mosque, Sheik Musa Muhammed gave the charge while administering the Oath of Sha’adah on the converts and pronouncing their newly adopted Muslim names during the weekly Jumat Khutbah (Sermon).
All the converts were unanimous in affirming to the beauty of Islam as well as the virtues seen in Muslims. They told the Imam that they were attracted by such qualities to Islam.
The new converts also commended the Chairman of the Council of Village Heads in Imo State, Chief Musa (Sylvester) O. Dimunah, who accepted Islam in January this year. They also commended a former secretary of the council and the executive secretary of Justice Mamman Nasir’s Islamic Centre for Peace and Research, Alhaji Ibrahim Biobo Nlomije, who they said facilitated their conversion.
Alhaji Nlomije said the acceptance of Islam by the newly converts was an attestation that Islam is not a sectional religion. He said such conversion attests to the achievement of the Justice Nasir’s Centre, which among others, deepens religious tolerance and opens more opportunities for non-Muslims to embrace Islam.
He also commended the Bauchi, Imo, Abia and Sokoto state governments for their assistance to the centre.
The new converts from Imo State are Chief Suleiman Nwachukwu (Udobundu 1 of Ifakala Mbaitoli), Ibrahim Uchenna Ukah, Muhammad Sani Stanley Uziogwe, Bello Kelvin Nmadu, Habibullah Kosoro Ofolete, Jamilu Osita Agocha, Haruna Chichebem Nwabirika, Abdulazeez Paschal Iroegbulam, Suleiman Ifeanyi Uzoma, Adam Nduka Nweko, Dawuda Nnaemeka Uzoma, Aliyu Prince Onyekwume and Musa (Anayo) Adugbaa.
Others are Abdulmalik Bongo Edet (Cross River), Hassan Babalola Shegun (Ondo), Nasir Peter Ndubisi (Anambra) and Bashir Prince Dulla (Akwa Ibom).
It will be recalled that Chief Hassan Ikenna Kelechi Amah and Mr Ahmed Aka Onyero from Owerri, Imo state were last August convert to Islam.

PoliticsRe: The Oil In Bayelsa Belongs To Jigawa State by fkaz(m): 6:20am On Nov 16, 2013
geeez: That's why I don't enjoy discussions with people who are more emotional than rational

Baylesa doesn't control its resources, the FG does

So what he's said, if you didn't view the video, is that the oil belongs to Nigeria and in essence Jigawa and every other state

He also said the resources in Jigawa belongs to Bayelsa

Until states begin to control their resources or Nigeria divides, what this man has said is correct

However, personally I would suggest a regional system of government where all states control their resources so the oil in Bayelsa will truly belong to Baylesa but as it is today, that's not the case
You are on point. However base on the last paragraph,
IMO: the northern part will never accept regional govt. The north still see regional government as resource control, which they are strongly against. And that is why the northern part don't see any reason for NC, as far as north is concerns, oil money most be distributed among all nigerians.

They will only take blood in exchage of oil

PoliticsJonathan’s Minister Took $250m Bribe, Gov Lamido Alleges by fkaz(op): 9:40am On Nov 15, 2013
Jigawa state Governor, Alhaji Sule Lamido, has alleged that a minister in President Goodluck Jonathan’s cabinet received a $ 250 million bribe from an oil company recently.
The governor, who did not name the minister, alleged that in spite of the fact that he called the attention of the President to the fraud, Jonathan refused to investigate the matter.
The governor made the disclosure in an interview aired on the Hausa service of Abuja based Vision (92.1) FM radio yesterday. He said: “Do you know that recently a top minister received a $ 250 million (about 42.25 billion) bribe for himself… he (the minister) is in the cabinet; he is in this current regime; he knows and I know, and I told the President”.
Reacting to a question on whether some of the seven aggrieved governors (G7) on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) would retreat if the going gets tough, Lamido said that all efforts to put him to shame had already been applied.
“I’m pass the fear of investigation since even my son was arrested on charges of stealing N5 million… everything that can be done for me to be scared has already been done”, he declared.
With regards to the current crisis rocking the PDP and the G7 governors, Lamido said the governors were not in any conflict with the Nigerian government, rather their concern was the future of their party, the PDP.
“We are not in conflict with the Nigerian government; this Government is ours as well”, he declared.
Reacting to insinuations that the G7 governors were not willing to embrace peace in the PDP, Lamido said “not fixing things is injurious to both Jonathan and Bamanga, and also ourselves because other political parties are looking closely at what is happening, and are praying for our party to crumble for them to profit. Therefore, we should know whether the crisis will move us forward or lead to our downfall”.
Talking about the real grouse the G7 has against the party, Lamido disclosed that at present, the issue is not even about President Jonathan not running in 2015, but that Rivers state Governor Rotimi
Amaechi be reinstated; PDP National Chairman, Alhaji Bamanga Tukur be sacked and a new National Working Committee (NWC) be elected. He dismissed the view that the G7 governors were disrespecting the President, saying that “the party is not his (Jonathan’s)”.
Lamido accused those criticising the G7 governors, such as Tukur, Special Adviser to the President on Political Matters, Ahmed Ali Gulak, and other ministers, of simply taking advantage of the situation and ignorant of the true struggles of the PDP from its beginning.
The G7 governors including Lamido, Kano state governor, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, Sokoto’s Aliyu Wamakko, Mu’azu Babangida Aliyu of Niger, Rivers’ Rotimi Amaechi, Kwara’s Abdulfattah Ahmed and Governor Murtala Nyako of Adamawa state, have been at loggerheads with the leadership of the PDP over their discontentment with the way Tukur is running the affairs of the party.
Lamido’s son, Aminu, was late last year arrested at the Malam Aminu Kano International Airport, and has charged with allegations of money laundering by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
Aminu was arrested on December 11, 2012 at the Kano airport on his way to Egypt for alleged failure to declare the $ 50,000 in his possession. He allegedly declared only $ 10,000 to the Nigerian Customs Service (NCS).

Apc are trying to make sure they don't have opposition in the northern part, which is a smart move.

IBB is still relevant in nigeria politics, he has a lot of loyalist in this country who can not turn their back from him, including the senate president(david mark) even in Igboland, IBB is a big fish.

Just imaging some one like IBB is behind jonathan, who will stand against jonathan from the northern part and win?
If IBB sneeze the whole north will catch cold.
Apc is just smart, just as some one said "keep your friends close but keep your enemies more closer" that is for buhari.

Nairaland General12 Richest Nigerians Have $65bn Fortune by fkaz(op): 7:45am On Nov 15, 2013
The 12 Nigerians on this year’s Forbes list of Africa's richest have a combined net worth of $65.3 billion with Aliko Dangote, the cement-czar netting $20.8bn of the total sum.
But while Nigeria basks in the euphoria of her 12 deep pockets, South Africa has 14 millionaires on the list making her the country with the highest number of wealthy people in Africa.
Other Nigerian billionaires apart from Dangote are Mike Adenuga who has his hands in every profitable pie and has an estimated net worth of $4.6 billion, while Folorunsho Alakija of Famfa Oil has $2.5 billion to her name.
Also, Abdulsamad Rabiu is said to be worth $1.2 billion, Jim Ovia has $900 million recorded to his name, and Theophilus Danjuma has $700 million.
On the list also are Oba Otudeko with $575 million, Hakeem Bello Osagie is said to be worth $550 million, and Mohammed Indimi’s fortune was put at $550 million.
Sani Bello has $500 million, Femi Otedola $410 million, while Tunde Folawiyo has $400 million.
But South Africa has more millionaires on the list making her the country with the wealthiest people on the continent.
According to Forbes, South Africa leads in Africa, with 14 people from the southern-most country appearing on its list of the 50 wealthiest people on the continent.
South African luxury goods tycoon, Johann Rupert added $2 billion to his fortune in 2013, according to Forbes, to steal the spot as second wealthiest man in Africa from Nicky Oppenheimer and family, who have had to weather the storm of a struggling local mining sector.
Forbes’ Africa’s richest list is based on people who were born on and currently reside on the continent, thus some African-born billionaires who no longer live were excluded.

PoliticsBabangida Hosts APC, Says Nigeria Is Greater Than PDP by fkaz(op):
Leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) were in Minna, the Niger State capital, Wednesday to discuss with former military president, General Ibrahim Babangida and a former Head of State, Gen. Abdulsalami Abubakar.
The meeting with the opposition leaders raised eyebrows in the state about its agenda, prompting the two former military leaders to defend their decision to hold talks with the opposition party.
Babangida, a member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), in reaction to the speculations that he was being wooed to join the opposition party, said the APC leaders had the right to visit him for consultations, adding that Nigeria is greater than the ruling party.
"Nigeria is bigger than PDP. They came to talk about Nigeria and how to move the nation forward with me; it is not about anybody but about Nigeria as a country," he said.

According to him, he will always welcome anyone seeking his advice on how to move the nation forward.
The APC delegation, which included Major-General Muhammadu Buhari, Senator Bola Tinubu and the party's interim National Chairman, Chief Bisi Akande, first met with Babangida at his residence.
"The APC leaders visited me to discuss the welfare of the country, which should be the responsibility of every Nigerian, whether you belong to a party or you do not have a party. You have an assignment assigned to you to protect the integrity of the country.
"People who come to talk about Nigeria and the way forward will always be welcomed by me. We have to find a way forward for this generation; what we are doing is for this generation.
"The meeting had to do with the welfare, well-being, education, security and economic well-being of the country. Anything that would promote and move the country forward would be encouraged by me," he added.
On his part, Abdulsalami, who spoke after the APC leaders had met with him, denied speculations that they had come to woo him to join the opposition party.
"I am not a politician; I am not a partisan politician and I don't need to be wooed," he said.
He explained that the APC leaders came to brief him on the amalgamation of the new party, what they were doing, how far they had gone, and how things were moving.
"What I told them, they have already heard. I advised them on how all of us need this country and to make sure that we maintain peace in the country," he said.
He stressed the need for Nigerians to be allowed to exercise their rights to join any party of their choice.
Abdulsalami said: "Whether you are in the opposition or in government, in the various ways of your manifesto, you are serving the country. So whatever role any party finds itself, it should play that role very well."
Explaining their mission to the two former military leaders, Akande said they were in the state to consult with them so that they could be better prepared in running the activities of the party.
"We need to pick the brains of former rulers in this country in order to be wiser than we were before we came here," he said.
He added that the consultations would continue until they had met with all the wise men in the country

PoliticsJonathan Abandons FEC Meeting For Anambra Campaign by fkaz(op): 5:54am On Nov 14, 2013
The Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting did not hold Wednesay as President Goodluck Jonathan who usually presides over it, left for Anambra State to participate in the campaign for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate, Mr. Tony Nwoye, in Saturday's election in the state.
Vice-President Namadi Sambo, who should have presided over the FEC meeting in the absence of the president was away attending the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM), in Sri Lanka.
This is the second time in three weeks that the FEC meeting would not hold, the first being on October 23 when Jonathan was away in Israel for pilgrimage and state visit.
There was, however, no hint that the FEC meeting would hold yesterday as many journalist, who had come to the presidential villa to cover the event found out at the last minute that it would not be holding.
