Ask Boni Haruna d immediete ex - Govenor in d state his story wen he left PDP less dan 2years to d end of his tenure to d defunct ACN now APC, was he able to deliver d state for ACN? No. At last he is back to PDP cos he knows dat despite everytin, Adamawa is a PDP state. Wen u talk of performance govenors, irrespective of d party , check out Akwa-Ibom, Lagos etc

Wake up ! Cos dis Marks d beginiing of d end of APC in d state, I bet u with Nyako decamping, e go hard APC to even win a ward not to even talk of LG then d entire state. He is going very unpopular daily due to under performance. Have u ever been to dat state or met anybody who is from dat state? Cos if u have, u wil be 99% sure dat Nyako's govt is no longer popular. He won d last election because of PDP n notin else
Hahahahahahaha grin how many state in nigeria can you point out and say 70% of the indigenes are happy with the performance of their governor? His underperformance will not stop him from winning election. Don't underestimate the power of a governor, despite the presence of police, army, top politicians, PDP board chair(tony anenih), minister for works, senator all in support of PDP. They were unable to win APC in the last by-election in Esan LG, Oshomole defeat them. Obasanjo was unable to win his ward because he was not in good term with the state gov. Obj beg Atiku in 2003 because all the gov were in support of atiku. Nyako will deliver adamawa state to anybody he like, your vote and my vote don't count in general election. Highest you will go to court.

PoliticsS-west Govs Open Malls At Former Daily Sketch Space by fkaz(op): 7:45am On Nov 01, 2013
BADAN—Governors in the South West states, yesterday, gathered at the commissioning of two ultra-modern malls built by Odu’a Investment Limited.
While Governor Abiola Ajimobi of Oyo State was there, his counterparts from Osun, Ogun, Ekiti and Ondo states sent their representatives.
The mall now occupies the space used by the defunct Daily Sketch Newspapers, Dugbe, Ibadan.
While speaking at the ceremony, Governor Ajimobi said: “For us as an administration and you as a company, both of us with notable pedigree and heritage, today is another icing on our historic cake.”
Ajimobi who said the malls would provide 2,000 jobs noted that the vision to construct malls of this international class was conceived some years ago by the board and management of the company.
He said the vision of Odu’a Investment was to redefine business activities and improve the quality of lives in Ibadan and other neighboring states.
In his address, the Group Managing Director of O’dua Investment, Mr. Adebayo Jimoh said that the development of the malls was borne out of the need and demand by highly placed individuals in the South-West who spent time and money traveling to Lagos for shopping.
Also speaking, a former Chairman of Odua Investment, Prince Julius Adelusi-Adeluyi stressed the need for social and economic integration by all the Yoruba-speaking states so as to bring the South-West geo-political zone back to the path of development as it was in the days of the late Premier of the defunct Western Region, Chief Obafemi Awolowo.
The commissioning was well-attended by politicians, captains of industry and royal fathers from Yoruba land.

PoliticsApc’s 2015 Drive...buhari, Tinubu Visit Kwankwaso, Lamido by fkaz(op): 6:23am On Nov 01, 2013
Former Head of State General Muhammadu Buhari & former Lagos State Governor Bola Ahmed Tinubu.‘We’re on ruthless recruitment drive’
.I have like minds in APC – Lamido
.I’ll consult and respond – Kwankwaso
.APC govs now 23, says Rochas
Former Head of State General Muhammadu Buhari yesterday led the top ranks of the All Progressive Congress (APC) to Kano and Jigawa States where he formally invited governors Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso and Sule Lamido respectively to lead their supporters to the APC.
The APC team included former Lagos State governor Bola Ahmed Tinubu, National Chairman of the party, Chief Bisi Akande, Lagos State governor Babatunde Fashola, Governor Rochas Okorocha and Ekiti state governor, Kayode Fayemi.
In Kano, Buhari told hundreds of politicians from across the state including PDP stalwarts that the team was “on a very top and ruthless recruitment drive.’’
Buhari said the APC feels “very uncomfortable without Kano State coming along, therefore “in our bid to get Kano state, we seek the hands of the governor to get up and join us in the APC to deliver this country and God in his infinite mercy will make us succeed.”
“Our concerns are our people throughout the country. What APC is fundamentally going to do is to secure and effectively manage this country. We come here to woo Kwankwaso into the APC so that we can continue to make our journey to achieve meaningful development,” Buhari added.
National Chairman of the APC Chief Bisi Akande said the delegation was in Kano to showcase the APC as a platform and soft ground for great minds like Kwankwaso.
The APC delegation arrived in Kano only days after Governor Kwankwaso said the G-7 governors may move to APC following the simmering crisis in their party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Addressing the APC delegation yesterday Gov. Kwankwaso said he will consult stakeholders of PDP in the state and get back to his visitors.
“I will sit down with all stakeholders because there is no decision a governor can take on his own without consulting the stakeholders of the party. Kwankwasiyya movement is a disciplined movement. We are working as group and team,’’ he said.
He described Kwankwasiyya as a `powerful movement’ which had the capacity and strength to win election in 2015. He said that the PDP had 31 out of 40 state assembly members, two senators and 14 members of the House of Representatives.
“Certainly we will sit down and look at all the challenges and the consequences if any and together we will take decision on what to do and communicate to you,’’ he said.
In Jigawa, Governor Sule Lamido said most of the members of the APC entourage were his like minds and he felt they were in the state for family reunion. He said since the PDP is ‘very sick’ it was time to set aside party sentiment and unite around the common problem of the country.
Lamido said: “This visit is what I call family reunion. All those in the defunct SDP are here. We have been friends and partners. This single visit, more than anything else, shows that we can work together to save Nigeria.
“For General Muhammad Buhari to come here to woo me to APC shows that our leaders are concerned about Nigeria. The PDP is very very sick. It is time to put aside politics and nomenclature and unite around the common problem of the country.” He described the coming of the APC to Jigawa as the beginning of a long process that will test the will and political sagacity of everyone.
“We must work as leaders and put the country first. By the time we come together you must listen to us because of our experience. We will add value to you. The journey is difficult. I am still in PDP with my eyes wide open. When I see like minds I will work with them.”
Earlier in their various speeches General Muhammadu Buhari, Bola Tinubu, APC chairman Bisi Akande, Governor Raji Fashola and Chief Adigun Oyegun said they were in Jigawa to ask the governor to join the APC because he belongs to the progressive elements in Nigerian politics.
The Jigawa State governor had mobilised all the members of the state executive council, the 27 local government chairmen, all members of the national assembly from the state, PDP state executives and Jigawa elders to welcome the APC bigwigs.
Other politicians on the APC delegation included former governor of Borno state, Senator Ali Modu Sherriff, former chairman of EFCC, Mallam Nuhu Ribadu, former Speaker Aminu Bello Masari and former governor of Benue State, Senator George Akume.

PoliticsRe: Do You Think Dividing Nigeria Will Solve Our Problems? by fkaz(m): 11:30am On Oct 31, 2013
the best way to solved or minimised nigerians problem is to split this country in to regions, atleast it will reduced the cankerworm called corruption, which has greatly encourage nepotism and is killing the unity of the country. Corruption has also weaken our diversity. religious intolerance, ethnic bigotry is now at the climax due to our diversity. So the best way is to break the centre where the power is concentrated and bring it down closer to the people.

HAH: The good part is that all the airline that were asked to go to Enugu or PH have refused to go except Ethiopia, furthermore from a reliable source the ethiopian airways are also complaining of lack of customers in enugu because some times they have less than 50 passengers.

What I want madam minister to know is that, airline are looking for passengers, anywhere there is market they will go, forcing them to go to an unprofitable route is not possible.
The truth is that an average hausa man prefers to travel to Arab and Asia countries instead of europe and america and that is where most of those ban airline get their customers. Now most of kano passengers are forced to use Egyptian airline the only airline she grant permit to land, en route to other Arab country.
Thank God enugu is okay, non of the airline is saying they won't land in enugu or portharcourt but they should allow the number of customer to determine where they will land.
To me it seems enugu inter. Airport is not viable, and that is why she is forcing those airline to land in enugu or port just to make it look viable.

Mind you turkish applied 10 months ago and were told to go to Enugu or Port Harcourt, but miraculously during the BMW saga they were approved to land in kano.

Hope she will reverse her policy on the rest, since the issue has been raised at national assembly and now that kano state governor is now involved. Ethiopia airway, Etihad airway, Qatari airway and Turkish airline were all denied land permit at kano int'l airport by her policy

You see your life, only a foool like you will still see the proposed national conference as SNC. Even the hausa see the proposed national as jamboree and talk show since the recommendation will endup in their hand for decision to be taking. Why do you think all of a sudden the north are saying they are ready to participate in national dialogue. Yoruba are not coward and gullible like you people, What is conference without sovereignty

Politics2015:power Shift To North Not Negotiable—northern Leaders by fkaz(op): 6:17am On Oct 26, 2013
Northern Elders are not prepared to back down on the North’s demand for the presidency in 2015,spokesman for the group, Professor Ango Abdullahi has said.
“There is no going back on the presidency returning to the North in 2015, and that has remained our position,” he told The Nation on the outcome of the last weekend meeting of the Northern Elders Forum.
Professor Abdullahi accused the President of playing politics with the proposed national conference.
“As far as we are concerned, all this talk about national conference is political and geared towards 2015. It is also becoming clear that the only card on the table of Mr. President is ethnicity or religion. We are waiting to see how this will work in his favour,” he said.
But he explained that the North is not in any way against the conference.
His words: “The Northern Elders’ Forum met last weekend and we generally agreed with the direction of the North on the National Conference. And we said why not? The point we tried to make is what kind of conference?
“This is because we have had all sorts of conferences in the past from 1914 to date. All the reports of these conferences are there in the Government House. The Northern Elders’ Forum wondered what kind of conversation, dialogue, or conference that would be different from the ones we have had before.
“We agreed that the only thing that will make the proposed conference significantly different is when it is sovereign. What needs to be done is to suspend the current 1999 Constitution by the National Assembly to pave the way for a peoples’ conference. The National Assembly should vacate itself to enable the sovereign conference to take place.
“I am particularly surprised that those who have always wanted a sovereign conference are now backing out and for whatever reason, I cannot say. While the Northern Elders’ Forum may be at home with the proposed conference, as we have always maintained that we are ready for any kind of conference, I still maintain that we either have a sovereign conference or nothing else. Without that, we had better manage the system as it is. Otherwise, the proposed conference will be a mere talk shop and a jamboree.”
