Emery did a great job in his first season then used his hand to scatter everything.

I agree that the team ain’t in title challenging form yet but not as terrible as Emery made them look which is how we currently see them now.

Even under Wenger with less experienced squad we don’t fidget going to meet teams like Wolves and Sheffield. Emery really messed us up e do us dirty abeg.
Hmm, don't forget the Sheffield, Wolves,Leicester are not like what they used to be during Wenger's, football has evolved and teams strengthened year in and out.

I think the board didn't help matters, they weren't proactive enough, a serious FC would have backed us with reasonable funds, rather we began to sell almost everyone to refund Pepe's fee.

We got the transfer window wrong, He wanted Zaha, but can't they still get Carrasco for around £30, loan Knockert in, buy Partey,Doucoure or Ndidi, Sell Xhaka,Ozil,Mhicky,Neny etc.

Instead, We were made to work with them Nketiah,Willock,Nelson,Saka,Guen,Smithrow and Chambers.

Thanks to Saka and Aubameyang creativity and goals respectively, We could have relegated.

Emery also got everything wrong buy tinkering with players like we're in a preseason.

I still maintain the attitude of the whole club towards getting to the top has to change, else it will be flattering to device like we had in the 22gsmes unbeaten, and beating Valencia, Napoli to finals to get dismantled again.

The squad needs to improve, but this new low we now see is cos of Emery.

Emery really did us dirty, prior to his sack there was no game we were going into I had confidence in. The squad isn’t as terrible as he made it seem sotey guys weren’t confident of beating wolves and Sheffield.

Let’s get behind the team and hope we do good business in the TW.
Baba wetin Emery don see from your hand ehn cheesy

Btw, I honestly don't like attaching anything to Emery again, just as most here attacked me for bringing Wenger to Emery's performance. Somebody even tagged me an APC blaming previous PDP. I believe 8 months is enough to build confidence, harmony and all sorts of improvement.

I agree, the team isn't terrible, at least as worst as Emery may be, he took us 1 point off 4th and Europa final.

IMO, the team is still not good enough to challenge for trophies, top4 and big teams.

The best Artrta or any coach cab get with this squad and present board is 5th,6th7th.

You see why I say ur argument lack logic. If everyone is attacking Ozil and Xhaka in a game which I do too for performing poorly in a match does that necessarily mean the person on the bench is better?

Severally I’ve yarned Ozil and Xhaka need to be replaced it doesn’t necessarily mean Guen is better than them currently, those two are poor by their standards.

You said POTM lol. given to him by his team mates as encouragement which is fine by me. Cos how do u explain he getting player of the month in Arsenal same month Auba got POTM in EPL.

Your first paragraph is a blatant lie stop eating ur words. You and ur ilks said he’s the best midfielder we’ve got and merits his starting place and managers after Emery will regularly start him. You even went ahead to crown him the new Viera.
National call up in France? at a point France had already qualified.? If I may ask how many minutes did he play?

Lol... Kokane na our guy sha. Na Emery dey cause all these things
I've said several times here, not even the biggest of Guen's fan is asking for him to start games.
It was clear to us all, he isn't ready yet to start commanding the midfield for whole season.
We all agreed we need a Thomas Partey. Those who defended him earlier in the season did so because of his good performance that earned him POTM and national call from France..

But it later became clear, Guen is not ready yet to start commanding the midfield for whole season.

But, despite all this Alaye, baba Kokane is hell bent on wishing everything negative happens to the boy so he can come prove a point. That's clear hate.

I can stand Blueraydick and Sod9's critisms, its how they feel about him and many other trashy players we parade, but kokane's is pure emotions and hate.

Whenever Guen plays well, he either goes off or claims he didn't see the game, and if it's otherwise, he is the first to write about him, and that's unlike with the two aforementioned fans here.

I gave up when Kokane said the following:

It is understood Xhaka and Ozil may have a bad game, but you look at bench and see a far worse player in Guen.( That's in a game every fan was attacking Ozil and Xhaka o).

Mustafi, Luiz,Leno and everorther individual errors are can caused by him.

How he somehow misses games he played well in.

Anyways, I can't wait to see how his claims will be well accepted when Guen leaves and Arsenal start winning teams above us we've failed to win since September 2015 away from home.

Can you name one area Guen will be missed in team or an area he helped add to the team or an area he has improved in significantly since he joined?

I can conveniently answer those questions for Saka and Martinelli. Guen is older than both, he is 21 Saka is 18 while Martinelli is 19 and they had less playing time under Emery compared to Guen.
So what did Guen do with all the playing time he had?. He’s just a white man’s Elneny.

Come off it.
I'm saying the same thing, When he goes to one of the top teams rumoured around him, Ozil,Mustafi,Luiz and everyone will hit top gear and we shall not only start winning teams above us we've failed to win since September 2015, but also get back to top4 and start winning trophies.

For now, only few here are still trying to agree with you on Guen dragging the entire Arsenal FC back.

In 2/3years time, when he's long gone, Everyone on Twitter, YouTube and other media outlet will finally see and agree on your view on how Guen really hindered this great FC.

This is the biggest result of the season. Though the general game going forward still looked midtable standard.

Meaning that Guendouzi could have still dominated that midfield. Though I preferred the midfielders we used, Norwich is not a good test. Besides, Guen's role is mainly to rotate or recycle possession and not to protect the back. Kokaneprodigy will definitely not accept this but there is a reason Guendouzi keeps seeing shirt even when Emery is long gone.
He has a chance of dominating against Norwich at home than at city away.
Guendozi like most of the our players don't decide most of the games we've won.
Take Saka and Auba out and we're just an ordinary team.
Saka..The chief creator
Auba...The only goal scorer.

Against Olympicos and most games that mattered, we cracked.

I won't make a case for Guendouzi starting in midfield ( As an arsenal.fan that has watched him closely for a while now, I don't believe he's good enough), but u need to know every player on the pitch aside playing collectively as a team have their respective duty. David Luiz's is primarily to defend and he has been failing at it in recent times. He doesn't go into challenges with clear head at times which leads to Brain farts( An example which is that man city match.

Guendouzi had his failing in that match but those Luiz's howlers are solely on Luiz's head.

I don't remember talking about Guendouzi's age. I don't believe in a player being too young or too old. Messi was barely 19 when he started ending people's father's career....Diego Forlan was already old when he was already in his 30's when he became the MVP at the world cup.

Luiz is just an unstable defender that is prone to error. No more, no less
No need to shalaye, even the Guendoxi's biggest fans know his weakness and will agree he should be on the bench behind top midfielders like Partey, but Mr Kokane is never changing his view till 2032.
He believes 95% of Arsenal's problems today is Emery and Guendozi.

Heaven helps Guen if Arterta plays him against Wolves,Leicester and liverpool, he'll be scapegoated for the failings

Partey was beast in the middle of the park yesterday. He was all energetic, killing off opposition attacks before it even started. Having such a player bossing the middle and allowing players like Saka do his thing on the wings will be a beauty to watch.
That Ghanian black power bossing it at Nou camp. I was also impressed with Carrasco on the wings, I will never forgive Emery and his crew for failing to bring him here at a very lesser price.

*I can bet anything that if we don't invest in quality hardworking players in the summer,we will cry more next season and may be fighting relegation no matter who our coach is*

You guys should prepare the words to use in abusing the coaches because we may have more than 2 coaches again next season.

For me,after following this club for over 20 years and have blamed Wenger wrongly for being stingy in the transfer market In his late years with us and Emery for confusing the players with different systems with no clear direction,I have made up my mind not to criticize any coach anymore because *we can not sow yam and reap maize or vice versa.*

We have failed for a decade to invest in the team properly and have not shown anyone that we have ambition for big trophies as a club but we think we can achieve what our rivals achieve with their *big investments in their squads and serious ambitions that they show when they notice any area that needs reinforcement in their teams.*

I can't fool myself anymore and those who think any coach will help these unserious bunch of lazy players to achieve anything can continue to dream. Good luck to them.

Copied#.

The above has been my stance, hence my flirting with Liverpool.
I keep asking which top manager will want this Arsenal job?
How can you want to achieve by making your transfer window on the following type of players,:
Old dead woods(Cech,Luiz,lichterner,Sokratis).
Young players for future (Guendozi,Martinelli)
Academy boys (Willock,Nelson,Saka nd Nketih)
Loans(Ceballos,Dennis Suarez,Soarez,Mari)

We need to totally revamp our midfield and that is where I agree with @Kokaneprodigy. You can get the best wingers but if you lack the right midfielders to help coordinate/ transition offense and push the ball, irrespective of how skilled your wingers are, they would be ineffective and wingers have the tendency to become selfish if they are not involved. Also, if your style of attack is primarily through the wings it becomes predictable and easy for opponents to plan against your team. More so , without a good midfield, your counter attacks become blunt, thus making your wingers irrelevant. Do you know how many counter attack opportunities we blew yesterday?

Yesterday’s loss was on Arteta, he should have raised his hand during the press conference. Take a look at the formation and how it was broken down! You are playing a back 4 with Kola yet you brought Tierney whom you should have started in the first place. (Abeg I don’t want to hear injury scare excuse)

A midfield base of Ceballos and Guen, threw Saka into the AM which was part of our undoing because the kid has made it clear during the break that while he is versatile he was to build his confidence from the LW position, not LB, LWB or AM position. Well, whenever we had possession, the kid was drifting to his preferred position, thus saturating that wing, causing more offsides for Auba and himself. If the idea was to be fluid then it was a horrible decision because we lack any identity, I mean outside of losing and drawing games.

Furthermore, you would notice whenever we had possession we were spending incredible amounts of time in our own half, back passing. The midfield pairing lacked the dynamism/ grit to coordinate the attack. Auba, Laca, Saka and Pepe were all dropping deep to collect the ball. It was a horrible tactic, it was flat.
Pepe is dangerous when he is inside the box, not outside of it, not when he has to make long runs because he would be doubled and of course it is easy for him to become distracted by some fruitless dribbling.
I quite agree with you and kokane on clearing the entire midfield as part of major surgeries the whole team needs, However, in a 442 formation, your front4 have to be good with the ball, mobile, energetic and industrious to break opposition down. The midfield 2 going forward to support will expose the back much.

Remember during the Henri, bergkamp, ljumberg and Pires era, they were all mobile and good with the ball.

Henri would either drop deep or move to the wings, drive in to provide for other forwards or score on his own.

In this current set up, when the ball gets to laca, he gaurds and flick it to the opponent, Auba runs to the line to cross or attempts dribble and lose it to the opponent, Pepe though tries but hugs the line too much and hardly drives direct, while Saka is the only who looks good on the ball.

None is good at beating players one on one, they first resort to passing it around and back to the midfield or defenders, and Ceballos, Ozil,Willock, Guendozi and Xhaka will never drive into the box, they are either too scared or bad at it.

Liverpool create much from the wings, Mane ,firminho and Sallah can create, score and do everthing with the ball, while Robertson and Arnold are also chief creators. Their midfield 3 only press, posses and lay it to the front 3.

In a 433 system, there has to be a creative players like Debruyne,Fernandez,Madison, Grealish,Carzola, Fabregas,Jao Felix and Erickson to support the front 3.

Didn't you see where I said the whole defensive set up? I.e from Dms to the entire back 4.

And yes they may be weak but its not like they are that terrible that they concede every minute, this defensive set up was able to hold city until Luiz gave 2 individual errors.

We managed to concede 1 for 90minute at Brighton.

My question then is what effort did the entire front line did for 90mim+? We scored from that Pepe's individual strike and aside that did you see creativity from the wings and attacking midfield?

Sanchez, Ramsey and Ozil in their prime made Girould look Okay.

True though, but what spectacular thing have they been doing for 80min+?

Except the goal, Pepe looked average, Auba was silent,(I won't Blame since he also admit he isn't good on the wings), Lacazzete was also doing Nada, Ceballos was dancing and creating Nada. Only Saka looked creative.

Yes the sub was bad, but we never looked like scoring even with the big players.
