iamoyindamola: My point why are they afraid of pointing to wengay the main culprit instead of accusing one another. This man brought them together he knows some are just useless yet he's trying to make them complement each other. Look at the season Eduardo broke his leg, wengay didn't buy replacement we were almost unstoppable then. Gallas cried his eyes out when he realised we won't win the league again I swear e no go better for wengay for all the pains he caused us. Sagna was one of the best RB in EPL till date, I think everyone is just looking for Scape goat but afraid to mention wengay because they took him as a father figure
Don't forget Pa Wenger "Made" them and they "owe" him a lot. They'll rather direct it to the club as a whole.
It is the truth the mentality of this squad still reeks of mediocrity, the attitude of most players on and off field says it all. They've got the fame money and just wanna play UCL football at most.
It'll take a hard principled winning coach and talented players with Alexis Sanchez's attitude to clear the mess and get us back to the top.
Sagna also said similar stuffs after his move to city, even though he played his heart out and looked really serious for top success( I think he made EPL TOTY twice), I doubt Fabregas won't see him as such, but na general table him shake, so many will feel attacked.
The first eleven was good enough to challenge then, it was Wenger's failure to strengthen the squad that finished us, We used to start brilliantly, but our season mostly ends in February when fatigue and injuries must have set in.
BTW, I like his words below..
"If you look at Liverpool today, all of them are running. This is a team. And maybe, because we didn't have the right spirit at that time we didn't make this little extra push, or make that little extra run to track players, maybe this is the reason we didn't win.
Jodera: It depends. If we're still underachieving, sure they'll leave. But if not, I don't think most will leave. Success retains top players at a particular club.
Success and maybe Money will only retain top players. Its a natural phenomenon, only the Steven Gerrard and few are interested in legendary status. I personally was surprised to see Kosc and Rosciky stayed long, this days, you'll hardly see that.
OX's recent transfer to Liverpool( doing well and winning top trophies) could mean our youngsters may ditch us for a bigger club or even to a rival. No much loyalty in football this days. They'll then appreciate us with a tweet of "This UCL victory against spurs is a win for the gunners", " This 7-3 win at spurs is dedicated to Arsenal "
And that'll be like a trophy for us on social media
A club of Arsenal's standard should be able to field a quality starting 11(I don't mean big names), good enough to compete every week, and stops looking like a One man team like in the case of Auba,Sanchez,Carzola,V.persie Fabregas and Nasri.
Jodera: A club that isn't successful will have very few legend especially wen the environment is not set for him to thrive on. Henry that we all shout that he is a legend, is really a legend cos the environment then was set for him to thrive then. When the weak mentality entered the team (post veira and bergkamp time), he flee from us and went to barca. He even shortchanged arsenal sef. You think if he came during the era of fabregas, he wouldn't have ran away from arsenal like fabregas?... Lol Saying it's lame and insensitive is not fair on fabregas. Even as a fan, I knew how many times I was angry wen we know we needed a position filled just to become a title challenger and Wenger bottles it. And he repeats the cycle, year in year out. It's only someone unambitious and let's say a local boy(like wilshere) that will stay put. As long as you're not in this 2 categories and you're an elite footballer, it's a fact that you must run away from a club if you're not successful. All fab says there is the truth and anybody that thinks otherwise then have blind love for Wenger.
Should Martinelli,Guendozi,Saliba,Saka and other youngsters mature into world class players, I can assure you, they'll tow the path of Fabregas,v persie and others. Forget the current love and loyalty.
iamoyindamola: Cesc revealed why he left in 2011, he was mentally, emotionally and physically drained he thought the club was going to invest and get better players to complement him. Same reason every top players we had left, wengay was the culprit fvcking old stingy man. I will never forgive that man
Until a Dangote or a big football personnel showcase, We will continue to get drained.
I no dey put my mind in games again, I don't expect anything big,
Spy360: Aubameyang has to be there. If you have both in your squad, you have to play both.
And that's the problem, its not by fielding the big names but what works.. Remember France played Mbappe,Griezman and Dembele in their first game in the world cup, those 3 upfront looked dangerous on paper, but always struggle to break teams down, and the moment the Average Giroud was introduced, everything clicked..
Remember Spain hardly play David Villa and Torres. For me, Sanchez,Rosciky,Nasri and Arshavin ahead of Auba on the wings.
Jodera: What do you think about Monreal? Do you think he's a premier league winning material too during his time with us?
Hmmm. Monreal was very solid defensively, the best in recent years, he was also quite okay going forward.. Monreal was arguably a PL winning material and surely a top 4 player.
Jodera: lol... I even watched another video of mustafi/Jones howlers. It was even worse than the one you sent sef. I'm not really sugar coating, but I'm just giving him chances, seeing the improvement he made. I know koscielny and Monreal started as badly as he did and later became a rock in their positions. That's what I'm giving him too
IMO, Mustafi on his day is okay and far from being terrible. But like I've always said, to move up the ladder and compete with the likes of City and Liverpool, We need better. Mustafi is 5th/6th material at best.
He is not a youngster that should be given time, those can develop from the squad.
If you watch this video and you still somehow believe Mustafi is good enough for arsenal or would be exactly as good as van Djik at loserpool because they have good midfielders, then I give up
Those who believe Mustafi need midfielders to look like V.dijk belong to the family below.
Jodera: Well, in terms of VVD, I know I watched Liverpool pre-VVD and during his signing and the defence was like 2 different defences. Liverpool defence b4 VVD was shambolic, they concede goals left right and center. Yes their attack was scoring, but defence was woeful. Always Liverpool guys hated lovren and matip was branded a flop then. Then VVD arrived and their defence turned for good. One thing with VVD is that he's good at organizing defence. With guen and xhaka in midfield and VVD and let's say chambers or holding at the back, we'll concede but not as much we're conceding normally. Also, I know Gomez and matip massively improved with the arrival of VVD. So yes, our defence would have improved. But would he had gotten the hype he's getting now at Liverpool if he's in arsenal. That I doubt
Liverpool that was using basket to pack goals like Garri.. Of course VVD and Allison came and they not only stopped conceding anyhow but won the biggest trophies. VVD is a leader, he organized and gave structure and confidence to players around him.
You expect the supposed leaders in LUIZ,SOKRATIS,MUSTAFI AND XHAKA to organize and give us structure but its the coach and the youngsters that made them commit errors upon errors.
Jodera: I don't know who didn't blame Leno for the first goal. Almost everyone blamed Leno, even on this thread.(if you can check, check it out) For the Liverpool game, Me wey dey play amateur football know how deflating it's wen you and your team try to let's say equalize against an opponent you deem to strong and towards the end of the match, one teammate of yours, him head touch and he gave a back pass to your opponent 9, setting him through on goal 1-on-1. We know it's deflating.
How morale no go drop, someone putting all your efforts in vain, at that point, Liverpool will be deflated while Atlectico will be reinvigorated.
iamoyindamola: You guys were blaming Adrian. Against Chelsea that we lost at Emirates no one blamed Leno for his mistake instead we turned to mustafi for allowing Abraham to score. Just like everyone blamed ederson for city losing at ot but sterling was missing several chances.
Did you also blame Auba for missing chance against Olympiacos? Didn't you blame Leno?
The thing is no player is error free, but commuting it over and over is the issue.
Liverpool's forward squandered chances, but just like Auba they've buried more and more to even win the biggest trophies, so it can be pardoned. BTW, the players had scored 2 goals and protected him for 90mins+, So Adrian lost the game.
iamoyindamola: Adrian is the only one with error, our best defender in EPL was escorting morata
I didn't see the Morato goal though, but general assessment of all Liverpool players is B+, Adrian's error was the 90% the reason why Liverpool are out. For 90+ the whole team covered and protected him, And V.dijk is only human forget English media hype.
Jodera: Adrian is part of the team, agreed, but he cost the team. There was no reason to hurriedly pass that ball....not like Liverpool was trailing sef. Salah and Mane missed chances, they created chances and they tried their best. All was undone by just a stupid moment of Adrian. The attack was perfect, oblak was just too great. Yes they crossed, but that's what is expected wen it team parks d bus. But even at that, salah and chamberlain was still doing damages, in terms of breaking 18 and outside the ball shot. Everything was under control until Adrian happened
So simple and straightforward, I fail to see how this isn't clear enough to who saw the game.
iamoyindamola: Direct and purposeful football with 3 DMs. Bros that bus parking in the middle with the aim of freeing the wing to cross and nod. Is that football
I don't understand this your 3Dms packing bus talk. I saw V.dijk and Gomez mostly at center midfield.Others were high up. Only Henderson is a DM, Winaldum is box to box, very good at defending, transitioning and attacking. Oxlade does more of attack than defending.
Do you see thier midfielders doing the slow, safe pass me I pass you? Forget, that's champagne football.
iamoyindamola: yes especially when Arnold is bombarding atletico defence with crosses. That one is football, atleast arsenal didn't lose home and away. Btw we played a better atletico under wengay we didn't chop it like livarpool did
That was direct and purposeful football as against the slow insipid clueless we see at the Emigrates. Olympiacos beating Arsenal once in the 2legs is no news, but Atletico doing it at Anfield will sure fill the headlines.
I disagree that the Atlectico we played that season was better, don't forget they dropped from group stage, Chelsea beat them home and away that year. And bottling a 1-0 lead to a team red carded at 13th minute at Emirates, is a big L.
This is Anfield ranting has failed to qualify us into next round.
Finally LiVARpool walks alone...
As a Liverpool supporter(not a die hard fan), I'll tell you football happened. The players gave it all, intensity was top notch.. It was more of Adrian's error and Oblak's brilliance. If we'd lost to olympiacos in this fashion, it'll be understandable as part of football.
Every Liverpool players aside Adrian gave a B+ performance, it wasn't just going to be their day.
Jencejyde: Thanks to the guys for posting pictures of the Good old days when we had characters that were always in it for each and every game and were relentless at it. Not to say one wont lose games but you can be rest assured that with such efforts, come end of the season, there must be a reward. City may be out of the EPL race but the way they tear small teams to pieces has given them rewards and like it or hate it, they already have a trophy in the cabinet this season for all their wobbly form and that is exactly where we need to retrace back and start from. We must be ruthless against any lower opposition and yes it requires desire and passion to do that week in week out.
Ha menh, we have really gone down oh. The days when even during the press conference , you can see the opponent already scared of losing before playing the game. These days small teams will even be bragging that they know how to handle us. Chai we have really suffered.
But hopefully this torturous cycle will end soon enough and we can start a new one as it was back in those days
Former Arsenal defender Andre Santos says Gunners players didn’t show ambition during his time at the club, and used to “laugh on the bus” after they suffered defeats.
“I couldn’t win the title but I was very happy at Arsenal. Living well, training, but at Arsenal I saw no ambition to win,”
Bacary Sagna Arsenal’s players got too comfortable. That is the reason why I left the club.
At a given point in your career you need to get out of that comfort zone if you want to go forward.
“If you revel in that type of routine you risk losing everything. “Arsenal have everything they need to be successful. They are based in London and have superb facilities and a great stadium.
“But the players need to show more desire out on the pitch.

When Troy Deneey tells you, you lack Cojones, I mean player from a low Watford, wahala don shele. You hear " RoughArsenal up, Go fast and hard on them and they'll crack and capitulate.
I imagine Deeney telling Campbell such.
Thiery Henri in 2014, said after the specialist in failure jibe from Mourinho, if it were to be a team comprising of him Viera,Ljumberg,Kanu amd Bergkamp, They'd' do everything humanly possible to revenge by beating Mourinho's Chelsea at the bridge that year, he said rather the boys lost 6-0 and that was when he gave up
BlueRayDick: Now una dey talk about passion ...... when I was talking about Alexis’ impact at Arsenal and even being one of the major reasons we won those FA cups that came in Wenger’s latter years, una say Ozil get influence pass him.
Alexis that was clearly the indefatigable player who always ginger everybody with his hustle spirit. Just like someone pointed up there, the only person in the present team with a semblance of that hustle spirit is the youngster; Martinelli. Smh
When I read a fan say Sanchez was only forming activity, I just jejely stay away.
#unpopular opinion#, We haven't looked like a UCL team since Sanchez left and we haven't replaced him.
Jodera: I swear...you see that team? Aside KANU that might look like a weakling in that squad, then rest and MEN, both in skills and strength. They can't compare it with the current arsenal presently.
KANU wasn't that a weakling, he is more like Mahrez, he wasn't weak in thought and ability, just the low energy and pace. Kanu will take you on,win fouls and penalties.
olabode89: Did you watch both games against Burnley and Everton.
Hope you know we won 2-0 at Turf Moor. At Old Trafford we missed couple of chances before conceding from a set piece and a wonderful goal from Jay Rodriquez.
Against Everton at Old Trafford we conceded a goal from a set piece and De gea was also fouled. At Goodison park De Gea made a stupid mistake. In both games we employed different tactics and had good chances to win the game.
I saw those games, utd looked just good but not as what we saw against city, even if city had won the game, I'll still commend your players, I'm not taking away tactics, but more was from the efforts from players. You can read and watch post match analysis.
olabode89: Lmao! Look at all this Gayner fans attributing United's win to zero tactics and 100% passion. I am not sure you guys watched the match.
United played a 3-5-2 formation with two fast split attackers. The main idea was to defend robustly with Matic and Fred screening the centre of the defence. Speedy James was played on the right side of the attack to enable him trouble the much slower and rash Zichenko and Otamendi respectively. Bruno was giving a free role in the midfield to enable him play Martial or James on goal.
Maguire was also given the license to step out of defence to enable him stay close to Aguero, in this scenario Matic would always drop deep to cover the space left by Maguire.
Saying we had zero tactics is just unfair. When Mahrez came on and started raping young Brandon Williams, We had to move Shaw to LB and Bailly as a Sub to CB. McTominay was also brought in for Martial to break play up and pack the midfield. When we didn't have an outlet to play over the top, Ighalo was brought in. Are all this not tactics.
How can a team beat the opponent 3 times with the same formation and tactics and you guys are still saying the team had no tactics and the victories were as a result of passion is baffling.
It was more of passion than tactics, how come we don't see such against the Everton and Burnleys.
