Yes the Olympic stadium is 60,000 crowd capacity, same as the Emirates with top class infrastructures. They signed decent players in Anderson, chicharito,Anatouvic, zabaleta, nasri, fabianski amongst others, and we haven't heard them in financial crisis nor struggling from relegation. |

This will be a testament to A Wenger. We moved in 2007 and the final was in 2006, we became a selling club afterwards and hardly replace them adequately. West ham built a stadium and they have been able to do good business since then. Spurs won't go down fighting relegation, in so far poch sticks to the same philosophy of the club. |

BlueRayDick: Well maybe we should just play Champions league and Epl alone and shun all other cup matches henceforth then. It's just like saying u don't need an elective course in the university system even when it's obvious a 5 point grade in that course can tilt you towards first class.
Just look at city, they have one domestic cup already, in the final of another, and on course to win the league. Now if they win those 3, they would've earned themselves domestic treble. You think anybody would be saying that statement of 'FA cup not being a true show of strength' in guardiola's face? Mourinho and gaurdiola attached too much importance to those competition because of fortune spent by their respective employees, those teams, Chelsea& city lacked history,so fans and owners want to celebrate anything. The great Fergie and Wenger didn't rival much on it then, the rivalry was on EPL and Europe, maybe Fa cup a little. Wenger fergie used not to priotise those competition, they field in kids until it gets to semis. City have fired coaches over the years despite winning those competition, just because the UCL or EPL wasn't bagged. City will likely fire Pep if he doesn't deliver in Europe, even pelegrini got to the semis but still got axed. Klopp hasn't won anything, we don't see nor hear stuffs like him being sacked compared to other managers, This is so because he took Liverpool to a stage bigger than the former managers, his side digging it at big stage and brings much exciting moments for them with hope and belief of facing any team. At this rate Liverpool aren't scared of any team in Europe, should they even lose a game, I bet you they will lose like a matyr, unlike our series of heavy defeats. Monaco,Ajax are getting big recognition, thier players getting signed in Europe today's because of their exploit at the big stage. I am not saying fa cup or Carabao isn't important but not enough to rate strength of a team. You can't be doing well in your secondary school but start chickening out in WAEC. Earlier in the season, even most fans voted for top4 than facup. The big news in England now is race for top4. |

Look at Man city, no dey concerned about any game changer whatsoever. All these talks of individual game changer Don follow 1990's and early 2000's go ó. And yes, a coach is not a computer. He's human and will make mistakes. Correcting them is what makes him a better coach. I've seen us several times bottle it, Atlectico 10 men from 12mint, we still drew them and got bullied by Costa, partey and co, I wanted a befitting end for Wenger but the boys aren't capable. We needed a draw to maintain our 3rd position and be ahead of spurs, what more can be motivating? We went down from 12th mint, and couldn't hit more than once on Target, Everton had 7 shots on Target mustafi, sokratis and Leno saved us, but defence is still the problem. I don't know maybe it's just me or you have a way of picking the wrong words or I end up seeing your posts in a wrong way, but bro you just said Chelsea is sitting comfortably in third place.... Even Chelsea fans will see that as trolling What I said initially was until we start recruiting players with physical/mental strength and ability to drive and run fearlessly at opposition in the tough games,we won't compete at the big stage. Chelsea have one in hazard, and he's the reason Chelsea are still in it, they have won trophies and beat big teams over the past few years with him, they may not be at the big stage because sarri is making a big blunder with the usage of kante. As of today arsenal is in the europa league quarter finals trying to qualify for the semis and Tottenham is trying to do.same in the champions league. The two teams are fighting to win a place in the next year champions league by finishing top 4 in the league. This is a fact!
And for the talk about son's goal against Chelsea, it seems u don't just appreciate simple stuffs. You want everything extra. Lacazette score a nice goal against spurs, abeg why run 50yards to score when you can easily shoot in the box and hit Ur target?
Like I said earlier lacazette and Auba may be going few rough times, that doesn't make them bad at all! They've given us goals in some vital ties we should dwell on that and not just keep focusing on the negatives. How we measure success/good performance maybe different. If I were a spurs fan, I'd rate our season good enough, they didn't spend a dime, even had to change stadium over and over yet still giving it a fight at the top level, I remembered how new Emirate stadium used to be our escuse. Rejoicing over hard struggle to beat Rennes, Bate isn't what I want for my Arsenal. Trophy is for bragging Rights, for me, I like to see my team give me joy at the big stage. Spur's done it well over the last 2/3 years, drawing inform Madrid at bernabue, beating a Ronaldo Madrid 3-1 in Wembley, getting to this stage of UCL despite being the underdog against the Inter,barca,Dortmund.. Now a chance to get city out, I felt envious of their fans that night. That's the level I want my Arsenal, they might be in the top4 fight with us, but Arsenal fans worldwide can't be comfortable of us displacing them. That almost snatched a point at Anfield, we on the other hand were shattered. I'm not saying laca and Auba are bad, but they don't fill me with confidence especially when the game gets cracky. |

BTW, does number of matches played have anything to do with the amount Arsenal would pay Barça for the loan deal for Dennis Suarez?
I'm finding hard to understand how and why Elneny is even ahead of him in the squad midfield pecking order. I fear Suarez will turn out to be the usual pass me I pass you players we have around, the guy may lose motivation, He's known for his iniesta style of play, its getting too much, from Barca's bench to Arsenal, haba.. BlueRayDick: Bros this Ur analysis no be am at all!. The same spurs team you Claim are physical, tough and stood their ground was the same spurs team we whipped 4-2. The same physical players you claim are in their line up were not dead when Ramsey had a run at their defence in the second leg.Tge same spurs that has physical and mental strength for modern day football has been beaten once and drawn once this season by the same arsenal that lacked those same qualities you mentioned.
As for Son's goal, u saying no arsenal striker can replicate that is not true. At least Lacazette's goal against Liverpool in the first leg bore a semblance of that with his back earlier turned at goal before he took the shot that got us an equalizer.
Our strikers maybe going tru a rough patch now, but getting emotional and rubbishing goals you jump up celebrate that time no be am at all. You can't watch Auba's goal against spurs in the first leg and suddenly wake and claim he only scores tap-ins Derbies are special games and can go either way, since poch's take over spurs, they have had the higher no of wins against us, they eliminated us 0-2 in the cup game on our ground. Spurs are clearly having a better season than us despite buying no outfield player.. They survived barca, inter cl group, eliminated bundesliga leaders Dortmund, giving city a good fight in the quarters. We have also see them end Chelsea's unbeaten run earlier in the season, and walloped utd on their ground. All this isn't fluke, they are what I say they are. Yes lacazete may have scored son esque goal, he's the probably the only one who tries such energetic and ambitious stuffs, the son,Kane do it on consistent basis and when it mattered most on big stage, Remember his goal against Chelsea, that run! I don't jump when Auba scores a wonder, because I know its unusual, it will take months before he does such in the big moments. |

Those 3 you mentioned are typical klopp and poch's signings, they should be 35€ or < than that at most. solomonbrown64: ....Auba especially – No link-up, no hold up play and terrible technique at shooting. He has been awful lately and that seems to be rubbing on Laca too. For God sake, Iwobi who is shorter than he is can face his back to goal and attempt to fight for the ball but Auba who is 6 ft 2 seems unable to do that. Now I see the reason why some folks here hate him.
A Neres or another good winger will put both strikers on their toes next season. Regardless of the scoreline, I am happy with the win and manner we played, miles better than the horror show on Sunday. I don't hate him, maybe sod9 hates him I just hate his style of play, Welbeck could have been a better partner for the duo, he's strong, tall, guard the ball, wins duels, scorers headers and does the stress for Auba/laca.. He isn't much a goal scorer like them, but will make the attack solid. Laca can be frustrating, fluffs his line on easy chances and good at scoring beauties, but tries to protect and get physical on the ball. Auba frustrates me the more,he can't protect, hold nor do something spectacular with the ball. That's why I rate Kane, Aguero, firminho, son et al, they are strong, sharp, never tired of scoring, assisting and firing. Knockert, delofou Diego jota and filipe Anderson are cheap but solid fighting wingers who can make Auba's game easier, they will delete players and get the ball to his space/feet for tap ins. Liverpool could have finished the business yesterday, imagine we conceded yesterday or eventually get eliminated, fans will pounce on cech, kosc, guen, ozil and rest for what our forward caused. Now I'm fearful of the away tie,Lord help us. |
