I attended deeper life for many years and I grew up there, I was still there when they started planning the Kwara campus of the sch, and yes, the poor paid and it was more than tithe. at that time, they were building a regional campground, a residence for the GS in Ilorin, state camp ground and the sch. And believe me, people paid for all of these. There was a time members were to divide their salary/income into 3 parts and drop it for 3 months to fund one of these projects, that way, they would have dropped a month salary. And they still had to drop something from what's left for other projects too.

Not all members were called to that sacrifice.
Only those who could handle it.
And you can't say they all fulfilled it.
Let's not play the dangerous game of God.
I wasn't called upon then because I was poor too.

I've seen, long ago, a brother in Rivers Church donate #20 million for Gbagada church.
People really give big without making noise about it.

All these Nigerian churches ehn......they will establish schools that common church members and average Nigerian cannot afford. Meanwhile, poor people also pays tithe in Church but their school is only meant for the rich. Heaven will be full of many surprises. Market women are inside sun struggling to make ends meet and churches are using their offerings to build Facilities they can't access.

A poor man according to IBRD in Nigeria earns around 25k.
