Useless APC propaganda

Lagos allocation and IGR gets paid directly into Tinubu's account and yet you lot are all over the place screaming ambode to continue the blatant robbery on the people of lagos

Shame to the devil, Shame on APC

It would be nice to see the % contribution of this heavily populated north to the country's GDP and Economy.

Why would a state that generates less than 20 million per month recieve 4billion allocation from the federal?

How have the north harnessed her population to its advantage rather than at the polls and for violence?

Nigeria is wrongly structured and must be corrected using true federalism.

No man who rides to fading fame at the expense of his kindred can be regarded a hero.

Amaechi remains a failure at the home front. No matter the accolades thrown at him by his new friends, the chicken will still be back home to roost.

Even within his current fold, Amaechi cannot be enthrusted with a position of trust because he is an easy tool in the hand of the enemy.

When the chips are down, Amaechi cannot occupy any elective position in Nigeria anymore because he must need his people ..... same he betrayed.

He can make do with political appointments for a very long time.

So far, he has used the funds meant to develop his state to pursue the presidential aspirations of a northerner. But if Amaechi runs for an elective position today against Bokoharam Shekau, the same northerners will choose a Shekau over him.

So Amaechi is just a Failure
Politics › Re: Nigerians Expectations From President-elect, Buhari by Flets:
He must convert Tinubu and Amaechi to non-corrupt saint in one week

He must wipe corruption from every parastatal and every corrupt Nigerian including my security man who defrauds me when buying petrol (He voted change though) will end up in jail.

If we still lack electricity after one year in office despite GEJ's progress so far... He should just resign

5K for all unemployed Nigerians

Free meals for all Nigerian students

3million jobs every year

Stabilization of crude oil prices

One naira must equal one dollar

There should be no poor Nigerian anymore

Four refineries to be built by his government ( not by private sector)

All federal roads to meet global international standards in 2 years

We are seriously watching and waiting. No excuses shall be entertained.

Nigerians will be thoroughly shocked.

I am talking about foreign reserves not excess crude account. You should know the difference.

Also the reason why the governors demanded that the ECA is divided was because of the disappearance of money from the account with no explanation. This was shown in court.

OBJ got foreign debts forgiven, it is now about $26bn. What happened to our foreign reserves?? Why is the debt profile so high??
The security amounts captured in the annual budgets were not sufficient for the fight against Bokoharam.

The reserves had to come in handy to support the fight. The last major arms purchase in this country was during the civil war. Infact, Objs and IBBs intentionally refused to provide arms for the military for the fear of a coup

As a matter of fact, GEJ was equipping a 30years deficient military in 3years. That is part of what the reserves are meant for.

After the creeks go haywire, Buhari will still resort to the reserves to run his government until its depleted.

tbaba1234:
No, Economy is in a mess because foreign reserves were depleted when oil prices were record high. The government did not save. When the prices fell, they had nothing to cushion the effect.

In OBJ time, oil prices fell as low aa $38 but it was managed properly. It is higher than that now and things fall apart.
Name one capital project Obj engaged in. Saving without doing anything.

Reserves depleted because APC governors demanded that the soverign wealth fund be shared because it was unconstitutional. Those APC governors who put us in that mess will be the technocrats in the new governmment.

Anyday Nigeria is serious about development, It will be obvious.

Give GEJ his respect but also recognize that our economy is in a mess because of his government's recklessness.

The economy will actually get worse if Buhari does not play his card properly with the Niger Delta.

I understand the point you are making, there is a lot of injustice in the system. What I am trying to say to you is that Jonathan's loss is not a loss for the SS. jonathan was a mistake, he was the worst product the SS could have put forward to represent them. Let's not deceive ourselves, Jonathan refused to fight boko haram and protect the Borno people because he felt the Borno people will blame Muslims hence they will vote for him. He was playing politics with people's lives.

You may not realise this yet but the greatest treasure we have in Nigeria is our population and our diversity. The oil in just the cherry on top of the cake. Our population gives us both a cheap labour force and a market for finished goods. Our diversity has created a unique culture different from people from other parts of the world and this ensures that no one can produce certain goods for us and at the same time we can market things that are unique to Nigeria to other nations. We are a blessed people. God made no mistake in making us Nigerians and he spared no effort in blessing us. We just need to get leaders that focus on caring for the majority of our people and not pleasing the high and mighty. I know I am giving you a sermon but I truly believe you need one.
You said our population and diversity is our greatest treasure. ..... agreed but its until we harnes those treasures through creating the right structures, it remains the bane of our troubles

If things were right, why would anyone feel a president from his tribe will him better at the detriment of others.

I repeat, Nigeria would have been patient with GEJ to implement true federalism from the Confab report.

Trust me, irrespective of how much grammar we blow online. .... these things will continue until we harmonize the Nigerian structure tp our advantage.
Politics › Re: Jonathan And Buhari Meet Privately In Aso Rock by Flets: 6:57pm On Apr 03, 2015
GEJ is being celebrated at the moment.

But the true celebration of this great man shall be in about 18months after Nigerians would have seen and experienced APC in its entirety.

Until then, GEJ remains Africa's greatest statesperson alive. This is something Buhari couldn't be and can never be.

The problem with Nigeria is not roads, bridges or universities. You build roads yet what percentage of Nigerians can afford cars to drive on them, you build universities yet even the graduates from already established universities have no jobs.

Jonathan was very limited in his understanding of Nigeria and what issues really matter to our people. We asked him for electricity, he told us he would give us electricity and he failed terribly. We demanded for a less corrupt nation but he told us corruption is not stealing. To secure Christians up north, he could not do. Even to pay condolence to grieving families was too hard a task for him to do.

Yaradua put plans in place to build three new refineries and then start the privatisation process of all the refineries (old and new) by 2015. Gej came into power and said government has no business with business so he refused to build the refineries and at the same time for reasons no one knows, he also failed to privatise the old ones. For him to take back the oil wells from the northerners like TY danjuma, he could not do. What we then heard was that TY Danjuma's company(setraco) built a mansion for elder goodsday Orubebe.

Obansanjo and Yaradua left a substantial amount of money as savings and all that has been squandered even though gej's tenure has enjoyed an unprecedented amount of income from oil sales with prices averaging above 100 dollars per barrel.

Is this the man any Nigeria should be fighting for? Are there no better men in the whole SS?
Please quit preaching to the choir. I understand these things more most of you attacking me on this forum. I've also been called a militant on nairaland.

But the truth remains that we are a wrongly structured country and these things as predicted must happen. Playing ostrich does not help us neither does application of force an antidote on this matter.

We are impatient people and our expectations are out of size. We don't believe in getting it right slow and steady. If we all as a nation supported GEJ without bad mouthing and provided constructive criticism. .. we would have been heading towards the right direction without impacting our revenue.

Nigeria is a collection of nations forced to survive together. And until we start viewing issues in that perspective and stop assuming we are a perfect nation..... then we might chart a sustainable course for this nation.

Until then, we can only run from pillar to post.
Politics › Re: American Says "Obama Helped Elect GMB" by Flets:
Obama's game plan was obvious.

He started off by trying to impose gay law knowing we would not accept such as it's averse to all our customs

He funded bokoharam through his arabian counterparts who also provided campaign funds for Buhari

He refused sale of arms to Nigeria at the peak of terror attacks and made sure their allies did same

He sent in axelrod to help package a renowned sharia crusader as a change agent despite Buhari's open condemnation of Army's attack on boko haram

He drummed up tension for post election violence and stationed warships in ghana

Now What is the interest one may ask? Have Obama suddenly developed love for Nigeria?

NO....

the prediction of disintegration of Nigeria must come to pass. The creeks will flame up soon and they will provide Buhari with arms to attack because he is one man they trust to employ force

Then....Nigeria shall implode and the disintegration will be the only option. Our individual divided units will be highly dependent.

And then.....they would have succeeded in halting the black nation with the greatest potential to challenge the white developed nations.

Its already too late to react.

once posted the comments below and was called names and referred to my post as a threat. Gradually, I shall be ticking off the events as they occur.

How do we avoid the impending dangers to Nigeria’s economy and existence under a Buhari presidency?

We must need to face reality as there is no magic in governance.

Extremely hard times lies ahead for this country if Buhari ever emerges victorious.

How do you explain to a Niger Deltan that despite GEJ's achievements in almost all sectors, roads, bridges, railways, agriculture, automobile, alamajiri schools, new universities, fertilizer and ghost worker scam elimination, freedom of press, FOI, free and fair elections, power sector. .........etc, he is still booted out.

What will stop the creeks from going haywire again? Buhari will send the troops to the creeks and together they will set the oil facilities ablaze.

OBJ's use of JTF force could not help as no Oil producing company will risk producing crude and killing staff in a volatile region.

GEJ under Yaradua had to get down to the creeks to to talk to these boys and effect the amnesty program because they found him as a representation in government.

It will be impossible to convince a ND minority albeit a militant that their own was not persecuted out of office. And that will be the theme of their new struggle.

The long term solution to this mess is implementing the Confab report and enthroning true federalism.

A lot of opportunities are springing up around Africa and the IOCs are already geared towards investing in these newer and saner climes than invest in an unstable Niger delta .

And while these troubles persists, the oil producing companies will simply withdraw their personnel from the volatile region and all foreign investments will seize in all sectors.

Unfortunately, even if the Nigerian troops kill 90% of the militants, it will take just one militant, a dynamite and just one strategic location along the multi- kilometer trunk lines to continue to wreck havoc to the Nigerian economy.

Fast forward to 2019, if we remain one country and without a civil war,, we will be an economic wreck with no allocations and salaries, no capital projects, no hope with dollar exchanging for 400 naira and we are worse off than we were in 2015.

Cos the truth is that without crude proceeds for now, Nigeria is finished. And then, we'll be screaming another 'Change' because we would have learnt a bitter lesson in the hands of the Fulanis, Tinubu and Saraki. And then we will ask.... Why were we this silly?

And before you quote me, make sure you outline in clear terms how you or Buhari will avert this obvious calamity staring us in the face

Only last week, they creek boys seem to have resumed activities by kidnapping at Yoho facility operated by Exxonmobil and have shut in 80KBD already.

Are we ready for this for the next 4 years?

The entire world stands to benefit from a crisis in the Niger delta. Its not a coincidence that USA who abandoned us at the height of bokoharam is busy shouting for change in govt .

Crises in the ND will reduce supply of crude to the Oil market and that would drive up the price of crude for producing countries.... But at Nigeria's expense.

Is Buhari is any way a better Democratic president than GEJ? Is this risk worth it?

Politics › Re: Election Results, Tompolo Calls For Calm by Flets: 6:24pm On Apr 02, 2015
I urge all these Pro-Buhari supporters who are quick to attribute the appeal for calm by the creeks to the fear of Buhari.

Don't get it mixed up, everyone is keenly waiting and watching the posture of the incoming government. It is far from fear. If Buhari plays his card right, he will have this group on his side as they have provided that room fot peace.

But if things go sour, these songs of fear of Buhari will vanish. Behind these popular names of Tompolo, Asari, Boyloaf etc are tens of thousands of foot soldiers.

And putting things in perspective, they need not be confrontational with the army or whatever forces are thrown at them. A massive attack of just three days on our oil facilities could cripple our economy for the next four years till Buhari's tenure is over. And any over-zealous pained anti-buhari crusader in the creeks can make this happen.

So I urge online crusaders to refrain from this campaign of 'fear of Buhari' and embrace peace as presented. It could get ugly so quickly.
Politics › Re: I Hate Gmb,(speech) by Flets:
I wont exactly say I hate Buhari cos I consider 'hate' a strong word.

However, I am convinced that a change from GEJ to Buhari is not a positive change.

If Buhari who in three election attempts never conceded defeat in any but rather incited the deaths of Nigerians due to his loss is considered a positive change to a GEJ who promised that his ambition is not worth the blood of any Nigerian and stuck to it........ then positive change has a different meaning.

Buhari made irretrievable statements in the past that led to the death of Nigerians including corpers, condemned the attack on BH by Nigerian Army, promised to soak dogs and baboon in blood, asked muslims to vote onlymuslims....... yet we cannot trace any violent words to the political life of GEJ.

Nigerians are impatient people with oversized expectations and the complaints will start pouring in the next few months. All GEJ needed was patience and constructive criticism but we poured frustrations and propaganda on him.

We'll soon learn that though strong-will might be a desired attribute but the absence of grace and humility could turn strong-will to absolute disaster.
Politics › Re: Buhari Will Be Nigeria Worst President by Flets: 2:50pm On Apr 02, 2015
Its neither a GEJ or Buhari matter anymore

When Nigerians unachievable high hopes meets reality in few months, they will be speedily back singing a different change song.

We lack patience and we are heavy complainants. Instead of support GEJ, we expounded on his weaknesses and made mess of our steady and slow progress.

Buhari would not be spared too. Not sure he will allow the free press for numerous attacks and insults like GEJ but time will tell.

It gets worse if the creeks go haywire and force is definitely not an option for such region.

I strongly believe that in 24 months or less, posterity would have judged GEJ right and then we will understand that GEJ didn't lose an election but rather 'Nigeria lost GEJ'

He is already on the way out with his head up high. I wish him and GMB well.

Your best wishes for this country was never hidden, you were not as forceful as Nigerians wished because of our years of military rule. We lacked patience to see your policies come into tangible fruition.

I will always maintain that you are Nigeria's best president. We were few months away from implementing the confab report that would have enthroned true federalism which would have set us on the path of recovery and greatness.

I am certain posterity will judge you fairly. Through all the insults, you never reacted. You gave all freedom like we've never seen before.

IF WE MUST PRACTICE DEMOCRACY, YOU ARE THE TEMPLATE.

I don't think you lost this election, you are just a victim of a sectional majority and Nigeria actually lost you instead.

I know we Nigerians are an impatient lot with unachievable high hopes for the incoming government. In few months time, after our hopes have been met with reality. ... then we shall sing your praises.
