amakenny: But we were told about two weeks ago that road contractors had been paid and must finish the roads before Dec. 2013. Where are the roads been done in Imo? The most annoying aspect is that lots of those roads were well motorable before they were destroyed. Lol. Your scammer has been owing contractors in the state. He announced releasing 7.5billion while only roughly 560million was released. I was laughing on hearing the gingles on the radio.forget politicians, we are nothing but toys in their hands. Some contractors will try to do some secondary work sha. But all in all, its a farce 1 Like |

my heart bleeds at the sight of the gross looting of imo state treasury by owelle rochas anayo okorocha. The case of corpers allowance is a needle in a haystack. Please berem and abagworo should keep mute because if you defend a thief, you will become a thief by default. What I have seen in imo state and the brazen looting of the treasury is mind boogling.and yes, I have evidence, from his 62billion loan, to his recent fake 7.5billion so called release for roads.all his financial scams is with the good people of the state. But its for 2014.we must kick that criminal out 2015. Imo state has passed the level of criminals occupying douglas house.that era ended with ohakim. We are wiser now. Infact, I'm amazed some people can defend this thief in douglas house.I'm really amazed. 1 Like |

Bludeville: ^^^^its actually the other way round. PSN = rubberstamp and PCN= toothless bulldog I'm actually right on that since its PCN that awards licences and does all those regulatory functions on pharmacies and PPMV's (ie premesis inspection et al). PSN is all noise if you remember the cynthia saga and if you are oppurtuned to attend their conferences. The welfare of pharmacists across the country is in a constant state of decline. The two bodies are also always juxtaposing and confusing themselves. Why I used NMA initially as an example was because of the way the body acts with such free hand that at times you forget that MDCN exists. |

aieromon: Yeah, you are right there. But I still think the should fuse the two bodies together. Remember that MDCN is medical and dental council of Nigeria, that's basically a two in one council but NMA is for doctors alone. Ok, letme put what I'm saying in context, just like NBA is both regulatory and an association. What I mean is that instead of having a separate regulatory body and association, we need to fuse both together so that their powers can be realistic. I mistakenly stumbled into the last PSN conference held at Enugu in 2012 cos I had business there and of a truth, it dawned on me that if resolutions taken at conferences would be far reaching, we really need to fuse the two bodies.because PCN is a rubberstamp body now and PSN is well a toothless bulldog(sorrytosay)!!!!!!!!!!!!! #just my opinion to pharmacy activists.I'm not practising by the way because I'm into a different line of business now from my professions |

I think the major problem of the profession in nigeria is the duplicity of our professional body. I mean why cant they just join PSN and PCN together so they can be more effective.I am also a Member of NMA and I know that the body is way stronger than both PCN n PSN. Just like lawyers have NBA and other professional bodies,I don't see the reason for our two bodies because it tends to make the profession weaker. Again, welfare of pharmacists across the country is a neglected subject.#Food for thought |

At my age and with the type of things my two eyes have seen and my ears have heard, I believe anything is possible Those who think some of these things are folklore or tales are either kids or haven't seen anything. I believe the OP wasn't trying to make anyone believe anything, but believe me, the day you will experience it, you would tell yourself that you are hallucinating, you will try to believe its an illusion but no,it will be real before your eyes. The day I believed in God and gave my life to him was when I stubbornly went to a native doctor with a friend back in uni days who got attacked by robbers,I saw the everything that happened replay in a basin filled with water koro koro with my eyes. I had goose pimples and shivers for 3 complete days. After that day,If someone tells me that vampires exist, I won't doubt it 6 Likes |

one.east3: Rochas has serially denied spending 100billion loan. But the truth of the matter is that he has spent more than that in collaboration with his speaker, commisioner for finance and accountant general. I call them the fantastic four. His erstwhile deputy viz jude agbaso was coming up to pace before rochas bamboozled him out of office with a fake contract scam. Anytime I go to owerri, I laugh.not because I'm happy with the untold suffering of the people in the state but because of the praises people shout for rochas on the internet. Enugu state doesn't receive up to the amount Imo gets but I was in enugu durin sullivans first two years in office and I have been visiting imo during rochas first two tenure in office? Or is it his free education scam? Hehehehehehe.letme use tertiary free education as an example. Rochas claims he is giving imo students in imsu free education, but he is effectively doing magic.he increased fees of non-indegenes from roughly 50k to above 100k.then he will ask those few lucky imo students who get his cheque of 100k to pay 20k at banks to activate it.then he has reduced the quota of intake of imo indigenes in the school to less than 40% on each admission year.that man is a very wonderful magician. Or should go into road construction were he constructs quarter complete half baked roads at ridiculous prices, Or should I go into all his excess looting from local government councils in the name of sole administrators and community government Or should I go into the one were traditional rulers purchase forms and pay ridiculous amounts for staff of office Abeg I'm already tired of typing jare. I just laff at the poor masses who these beasts called politicians are feasting off. Who will save us? I'm tired jare, APC,PDP, APGA, QZP, G7, G100 are all for the spoils of politics. Divide the masses and rule. I'm just bitter with everything.the masses are suffering too much, that's just my problem.when I drive through the streets of my dear state and see heavily pregnant women hawking goods which the total worth is not up to N500naira talkless of the profit, I wonder how human beigns can be so heartless and sell their souls to the devil. Abagworo: Everyone in Rochas government is corrupt.this is not about PDP or APC,imo state is in a cesspit.the state will sOon collapse.I'm sure by now the treasury will be empty.its a pity that imo people trusted Rochas to save them from ohakim and they have ended up in a rat race chasing their own tail. From OCDA to ISTMA to the commercialized state ministries to Douglas house, there is a big pool of looting and wanton embezzlement.the difference between ohakim and rochas is that a wider pool of people had access to these money but during rochas time, its only him and his family member and cronies.when this man finishes as Governor, some individuals would be richer than the State times 20 1 Like |

Funny bunch.Feminists spread false manifesto to hide their true agenda. Google Nazi ideologies and that of the KKK. Yall would see that their own manifestos were also tailored to suit their targeted audience. Let's all isolate feminism from sane ideologies. Just like if I start a theory on the usefulness of communism, you people should stop sulking up to what the western media feeds you people.that's a form of neo-colonialism. Learn from russia and china, protect your identity. |

kulyie: i get your drift but what exactly do you hate about feminism and hope you are not trying to imply that feminism in the world today is causing baby mama nonsense, whimps as men, rapists and unwanted male species, hope you arent trying to say feminism is what causes a total break down of marriages. at the risk of sounding biased in my judgement, let me try and make some points clear. 1. I don't feel threatened by anything, anybody or any ideology personally. 2.I made my observation removing the fact that I'm male so as not to give a biased view of the subject matter. Ask yourselve this question, how was societal norms and values during your grandmas time and now? Let's be objective here and not subjective to our line of reasoning. I agree with you that CHANGE is constant but you have to also agree with me that not all CHANGE is 100% beneficial. Ok, let me use atomic and nuclear energy discoveries as an example. You and I know that these fields promised enormous potentials for good viz electricity generation, greener society etc. But it also came with its baggage of weapons of mass destruction capable of annihilating humanity. That's a case study for change. I have throughout this discourse used the black community in the US as prima facia evidence on the problems caused by the absence of the male authority in households. I won't want to go further into discussing the role of feminism in this problem as the OP's article has already highlighted some. Just like hitlers nazi theory, german people where rallying round nazis as rights movements till it turned to a political weapon. Make no mistake,I'm not trying to compare hitlers arian superiority theories with feminism.I'm only trying to point out why some of these ideologies if left unchecked can spiral out of control. Patriachial system offers rights to men not because of anything but to maintain stability in the family system. Let me use myself as an example. I grew up in a loving family with both parents. My mum recognised the fact that my dad is the head of the family and as such the start in the family chain of authority.we the kids see that as an authority figure,a father figure. When my dad is not around,my mum assumes command. That's an ideal family structure. We were taught to value women as our authority is for one aim and one aim only to protect women around us.that's the alpha male theory. Letme use my friend, who grew up with a single mum. His views are totally different from mine. He comes to me for guidance due to the absence of a father figure in his life.letme not go into other details but what I understand from life is that when we distort the balance of power, things go wrong. What I'm trying to say is,do a little research.I was watching a documentary on discovery channel of black americans and crime, most commentators posited the absence of father figures as the prime cause of the problem of young black males and by extension females. Remove emotions from this discussion and see that the negatives of feminism to society outweighs any benefits feminists claim. 2 Likes |

kulyie: unfortunatly there is nothing you can do about the acclaimed virus.just as past leaders have unsuccessfully eradicated corruption, mental and financial poverty, that is how your blabbing will unsucessfully eradicate feminism and single/independent women. we love independent women mind you.what we dislike are feminists who by default will end up single and miserable (as the OP said 'dying alone in her isolated room with her 13cats and 2dogs').stop grabbing straws like the other poster dasparrow.corruption and other vices are our problems in this country.when you try to compound the problem by injecting feminism into our already troubled society, what do you get? An implosion. That aside, what the OP is trying to posit if I'm right is the need for self realisation and individual development. Women should loosen the feminist garb and work towards other meaningful goals than taking over equal rights in the family as men. I can mention various women in nigerian history eg the likes of queen amina of zaria, and princess moremi, who have made impact in history during periods the likes of you would say was totally anti women. My personal view of the issue is that the patriachial system of family existed for a reason, and upturning that reason for shorttime benefits may have a longterm repercussion which we would not be prepared for. That was why I used the US as an example to what upturning the system can gradually do, you have males who are raised by women without a fatherly presence to guide them and majority end up as deviants in society.you have them on the streets all across US from newyork to illinois to georgia to california. These young men turn out whimps who even have no respect for WOMEN and that is why the end up converting many young girls into baby mamas. Feminists won't tell you that. They like every other movement in history (naturists,Nazis,LGBT etc) will only show you the little benefit that can be derived but effectively hide the downsides. We understand that some women are marginalized in our system but I always believe that development of the girl child without recourse to feministic ideologies would go a long way in curbing some excesses of some men.Catch my drift 3 Likes |

dasparrow: burst a nerve right? Go do some research on reasons for increase in number of jail inmates in US with special focus on african americans.don't be bitter, because you have people migrating to the US doesnt take away the fact that the family system in the united states is in serious decline. Discussions laced with emotions won't hide the truth or change it from what it is. Any babymama who willfully raises children out of wedlock is raising nuisance to the society as few of these children turn out useful to the society.since you decided to take that aspect of my discourse and discard other valid points I made, it shows how bitter you are.
