Commentor: Oga say what you know You are conflating two laws One is citizens arrest (which can be done by anyone) and the second, arrest of a civilian in a military installation In both cases the military has no right to detain a civilian outside a military installation You can read up the below for your further information: 32 CFR § 637.10 - Authority to apprehend or detain. MPI and DAC detectives/investigators have authority to make apprehensions in accordance with Article 7, Uniform Code of Military Justice (UCMJ); Rule for Courts-Martial 302 (b)(1), Manual for Courts-Martial, United States 2002 (Revised Edition). They may detain personnel for identification and remand custody of persons to appropriate civil or military authority as necessary. Civilians committing offenses on U.S. Army installations may be detained until they can be released to the appropriate Federal, state, or local law enforcement agency. |

Commentor: Funny but this is so untrue I have a relative in the military in the Uk sir Sometime two years ago or so (during a knife attack) they were drafted to London when there was a suspected terrorist attack to aid the police, he told me of how their squad fully armed with guns picked up the phone and called the police to report an ongoing burglary It was the police that came to arrest the situation I repeat our foolish system has warped our minds |

Cognitivereason: A soldier has no business in the first place interacting with civilians Our useless system has so warped our minds that we forget the fundamentals of a decent society A soldier has no business with civilians I repeat The army is only called in to fight against internal threats to national security It should have no business going to a university to look for yahoo boys |

Incognito403: This is just senseless In sane societies, if the army arrests a fraudster without a warrant, that fraudster just got a get out of jail free card The process matters more than the result But hey, we are truly a zoo when a citizen thinks like this poster |

phineas: In the end it will be counter productive More hospitals will demand higher deposit fees and refer patients unable to meet them As such more and more patients would be denied Medicare The status quo actually benefits the poor. In the end, the masses would suffer if what you propose is carried out without a total overhaul of the health sector 1 Like |

Yankee101: Lol When next they rush you to a hospital for an emergency and the hospital demands full payment of an estimated bill or refers you to another facility when you can’t pay, you will understand the need the keep quiet and let people benefit from getting help while their relatives run around for money When I was a newbie in the hospital I was at the forefront of treat people before deposit or financial commitments By the time I constantly had my monthly salary debited for almost 1 year, I learnt to mind my business the hard way Nigerians are the most ungrateful lots No wonder doctors Dey japa go Saudi Arabia and Oman 1 Like |

smallsmall: I’m more enlightened than you numbskull Some of you think the threat of prison is everything, continue in your ego filled adrenaline rush, get high The lady has not been discharged For her to demand for a discharge, she has to clear her bills No one is holding her from leaving after she clears her bills. You just sit behind a phone typing gibberish without understanding the implications on the next helpless emergency victim who would be rushed to that facility but will be denied service until a substantial deposit is made Instead of venting your vituperations on the hapless hospital who have even been gracious enough to give her a discount on humanitarian ground, vent your frustration on your government. If there was a stable economy, Jobs or even a functional comprehensive health insurance scheme, this won’t happen. And yes, I know someone who was detained in a foreign country because of unpaid medical bills. 3 Likes |

FindingNigeria: This is partly true There are a lot of ways to circumvent this. Even at that payments made to wallets are untraceable. It’s just an address you pay to not a wallet Id or account Ever heard of btc mixers? Also there are dozens of exchanges that do otc transactions ie btc to cash transfer from member to member You can actually use it for purchases online or launder it on the dark web There is a reason btc and crypto are a go to currency for terrorists and evil elements It’s virtually untraceable |
Crime / Re: Police Arrest Kidnapper Who Collected $15,000 Ransom In Bitcoins by flexshop(m): 6:53pm On Oct 22, 2019 |
FindingNigeria: This is very wrong information Cryptos are actually the hardest to track Forget about crypto exchanges Most wallets are 80% anonymous even the CIA and FSB won’t find it easy to track Drug dealers, terrorists, arms dealers use BTC on the dark web for that sole purpose |

FindingNigeria: Exchange sites are not wallets Luno is not blockchain Even the FBI and CIA may not be able to track a transaction on a wallet with a very strong vpn That’s why BTC is the currency of the dark web 1 Like 1 Share |
