Politics › Re: Lockdown: Canadian Government Gave Us N626k Each, I'm Not Coming Home - Nigerian by flexyrule(m): 10:24pm On Apr 21, 2020 |
kikero: Hmm
Canada's budget this year is $355 billion for 24 million people.
Nigeria's budget this year is $26 billion for 200 million people.
And you expect Nigeria to give palliative of N626000 naira per person or per family?
Nigeria is a mess, but we are not up to Canada's level. Vote for governments who would make us an industrial nation, then we can talk.
To all those people cursing Nigeria up-thread...yes, we have had corrupt governments. But there is no way our government can afford to give stimulus of N626,000 naira to everyone. Not on our budget, without taking even more mega loans.
Modified
Even giving 100million Nigerians N50000 each a month would involve spending the equivalent of our budget for the year in one month.($26 Billion) If you preach birth control to the fellas up north, would they hear? One man who can't afford to feed himself would marry four wives and they'll birth over 10 children. Who does that? |

Hello Fam, I have interest importing used gadgets from the US and other countries for sale in Abuja as a side hustle. I have never done importation for profit making before and would require mentorship/Training (I wouldn't mind paying for it). I learn very fast and also have access to the internet 24/7. Kindly indicate if you can assist. Thanks |

uboma: Even if the plan is for 24 hours only, purchase it using the right channel.... Well. I don't know what you call "the right channel". There is another thread here on nairaland where another customer called out this same seller. And the customer was credited back his funds. I think there must have been a system downtime leading to requests not being attended to. A company that has customer service reps who you can call and make complaint to me is legit. Technical issues can result in delay in handling requests. |

What if the plan in question is for one week? Am currently subscribed to MTN 6gig for 1500. Which is almost exhausted after 48 hours |

bkool7: Wike is not in charge of Airports in Rivers. The company had informed the appropriate authority and approval was given. It's not the company' S fault if the airport didn't follow the state's protocol. Wike should take it up with FG and leave the innocent company alone Were the commuters going to work at the airport premises? Or were there going to be suspended in the air throughout their stay in Rivers state. Won't they lodge in hotels, visit oil fields/rigs and interact with other workers? Won't these workers return home to be with their families? |

It was also important people that brought the virus into the country, after the government refused to close the borders. |

Throwback: Hasn't the aviation minister representing the Federal Government state clearly that Caverton got clearance to operate the flight?
Or was Wike expecting that he should be the one to grant such clearance?
I hope Wike remembers his time as a Federal Minister and how the Federal Government can frustrate a state government like he did to Rotimi Amaechi.
Time for neighboring states to benefit from Caverton's relocation from Rivers. You mean they'll fly oil workers to neighboring states and then transport them to PH by road? Seems you don't know much about security and safety, especially in that terrain. |

Minxie: Maybe, just maybe, they're not lonely and they are actually enjoying their lives...
In most countries, it's normal to be focused on your career as a woman. It doesn't mean you're lonely. So maybe these girls just adjusted to their surroundings and maybe they're finally happy because they live in a society where people don't expect them to get married at 25.
Just because you don't understand or agree with a culture or ideology doesn't mean that it's wrong. So just because you don't understand why they are single and career driven, doesnt mean you are right in labelling them as lonely.
If that's your logic, you can label me lonely too. I'll proudly accept Ever noticed how lonely the beach in your profile picture looks? |
