We went for photoshoot yesterday and it was frustrating, wallahi I almost called it off, I had to call hubby to join us, we sing, danced and do all sort but Bobo wasn't cooperating, we were able to get few good ones Sha.

To the main gist Bobo started walking at 10 months plus but teeth has refused to come out, I mean he is still toothless
I'm Sha consoling myself with "I've never seen a toothless adult"

Happy birthday to him. He's blessed.
Crying during photoshoot is a normal thing, I was so tired self. Mine have 8teeth but ain't walking yet so don't bother before this year ends, teeth will come and those that have not walked must surely do it.

Mamas please what do you guys think about giving those daycare people money even after paying fee? Seems some of them abuse the privilege.

Giving money/gifts is by choice and not by force. Is a way of thanking them for taking good care of your child. I bought gift too especially now that my daughter moved to another class as an appreciation.

Ha!, In that case I think it's not safe for children under 3 yrs . I mix mentholathum with blue seal Vaseline to rob on his feet and ribs region after bath on very cold days.

Is safe but is strong, I will advise you use a lil or go for olbas

I use mentholathum, silverbird is very strong for my children. I just drop it on the bathroom floor during bath time or in the room before we sleep

Pregnancy causing fever is a myth. Go to the hospital and check if there's anything wrong with him.

I meant you have to pay for MMR and yellow fever as primary immunization ends at 12 months, but MMR is taken at 15 months. It is measles that was given for free. We have not taken mmr as baby is not yet 15 months.

I used baby rest. It has some other calming ingredients in addition to paracetamol

That calming ingredient is chlorpheniramine maleate which has side effects like sleeping, tiredness etc. This ingredient is also a major component in some cold & cough syrup.

I just crosschecked my baby's immunization card, MMR and chicken pox at 15months. Primary health care ends at 12 months, so any immunization. After that is for a fee.

My HMO takes 60% of the cost while you pay 40% of those immunizations that are not free.

MMR and chicken pox is taken twice. Waow, where is your health centre?

I don't think so too, special vaccine at 1 year is around 19k at one health centre close to us.

I checked HC here, they even told me is only vit a that they administer

Still don't know what my daughter did to my phone on Sunday when I left it for her to watch Nursery rhyme cos my camera is now too bright

Ok dear, there's Calpol nasal drop and there's Calpol paracetamol too. No it doesn't contain paracetamol, you didn't specify

I use health centres for immunization and they are free.
The only vaccine you pay for in health centre is rotavirus. Na nurses personal parole as it is not provided by govt. It is BTW 7k to 9k.
Some health centres have outstations where you pay like 300naira for any day you come for vaccine. Na the personal parole of the nurses that run such places.

If you don't have health centre close to you, you can use govt hospitals, but if you are very time conscious, you can pay in private hospitals and get it done.

Is 14,500 in Navy hospital, but I used a private hospital cos of the bad road and it was raining anyhow then. I don't think MMR and chicken pox are free yet.

Walahi, I had the experience this last week. It was a cough spree for my son last week, on our way from work, we went to see a Dr who prescribed a drug for my son. Ok, we bought the drug and it was 250mg to be taken for 5 days. On taking the first those, my boy didn't sleep from around 1 am till 3:30 am, he was just coughing non stop. I was so scared. We didn't allow him to go to school in order to monitor and give him the drug according to time. By the time he took the 3rd dose, he was relieved.
