Turkish airline experiences please sisters share your experiences as per lay over, comfort, services etc.

Please ladies help me out with your suggestions and experiences. I want to buy flight ticket to Houston. I have two options now Emirates and Turkish airline. In terms of services, comfort and lay over which is better? And I intend going by 36 weeks hope the policy of either airline is favourable or I have to go earlier. Thanks

This change of intent letter has been abused and I can see the reason why the VOs just slam new applicants a NO because the next thing is to send change of intent letter.

If you have somebody in State then use that person quickly since time is not on your side, i don't know how people get dollar card in Nigeria.

It's pretty easy. Apply for a dollar card in a bank just like the Naira card. You are charged a yearly maintenance fee and you can use for your transactions abroad. The guy can get a person with a dollar card in Nigeria. She actually used mine. All we did was buy $180 and she paid into my dollar account and used the card details for the payment.

A friend had same issue last Friday we went to the UK visa application office in Etiebets place and was told we have to pay using a dollar card. She did that and payment was successful.

I've been following this topic for a while now and I need advice.

me and hubs were just rejected for a tourist visa earlier this week. We planned to go for two weeks this November, but the guy said that we don;t have enough ties, blah blah, etc etc.

Anyway, I'm close to five months pregnant, though I'm not really showing yet. I planned to go back early next year then have my baby there. Now, I want to apply again. I'm wondering if it's best to apply for the medical visa, just me, without hubby, then him and my mom can apply for seperate visas since they'll be joining me a week before my due date.

Or should me and my mom apply together.

I don't know how to prepare the budget and all that yet, but I plan to search the topic for that. I have about $8,000k in my Dom account, it will be more before my interview date. I guess that will be enough?

Please help.

Did you state medical or just applied for drop box before being pregnant

My sister we will be paying almost 3 times what we paid then. The good thing is we won't be buying somethings like breast pump, car seat, sterilizer, feeding units, blankets, cot, bouncer, play mat, toys etc.

I don't think you are allowed to add things like receipts when submitting passport for drop box. They are usually very strict with documents you can add. Will advice you still do drop box and fill in doctor's name and address as US contact,that way it's obvious you are going for medical,and if they are still not satisfied and invite you to come for interview,you can then go with your receipts .

Am finally back home with my baby after 7 weeks. I met many nairalanders and they were helpful. Dr. Fagbohun was really nice, didn't like one of his doctors that took the delivery. For those considering him, he's very experienced, friendly and kind but very busy and therefore your appointment with him will be so brief. He doesn't take all the child delivery as he has other doctors assisting him. The services in Oakbend was fantastic, nice nurses who were very responsive. I got lots of freebies for baby like milk, diaper, wipes, pacifier, blanket, toiletries to mention a few. Favor on all sides. Thanks to all that helped to make this journey a success. In conclusion it was a beautiful experience.

Based on what you wrote, two things can happen: Turn you back at POE or cancel your visa if you send the letter of notification. It's best you use it for the first reason you applied the visa for which was vacation before child birth

Please house. I am scared of something I. What happens if baby has jaundice. I am seriously praying that my child won't have big my first child had jaundice when he was born. That's some serious extra money. Docs said there is nothing I can do to avoid it than to pray that my child does not have it. I know someone mentioned it sometime ago and how they called the social worker when she insisted on leaving withe her baby. I had my baby last week and she had jaundice. Bill was okay just budget from $ 800 to $1000 for neonatal ICU and laboratory if baby stays there a night. The number of days will determine how much you'll pay. A healthy baby is better than worrying about the money my sister. You will need to see a pediatrician immediately after discharge for check up next day so pediatrician visit cost should be budgeted for.

All you need is just to practice your breathing techniques and also follow the counting pattern with the doctor when asked to push.

We welcomed our baby at Oakbend on Sat 10th around 2.26am. I had contractions the day before which was 5minutes apart for sometime. I was scheduled for induction on Tuesday which is my EDD but baby decided to come on Saturday morning. Delivery was taken by one of his doctors. The experience coupled with the doctor hmmmm. Story for another day. I will share a useful experience I had after the delivery later. It's really important but now I have to stop and continue later.

@Tvegas: na vex my husband take come back from the car rental companies. Pretty the same price because they charge about $21 daily for insurance apart from the price of the car.

My advice for anybody considering houston on a tight budget is to book companies who offer accommodation, feeding and transportation all in one.
