Hello All,
dont understand why the discrepancy in information

Dont know which is which so anyone who flew them with "extra weight" not "excess luggage" should be weigh in

The $50 is for extra weight beyond 23kg but once it's up to 32kg it's considered to be excessive luggage so you will pay $175 at the airport or about $160 if you book online.

Escorted to secondary inspection
I was there for 5 good hours*no exaggerations here*no questioning until i was finally called..asked for my Hosp correspondence..finally said,mAke sure you have all your receipts for next time purposes

You were held for 5 hours, no interrogation? That strikes me as odd.

Not odd because the same thing happened to me too. I was so angry that day because the question that was asked was do you have doctors correspondence and how much do you have with you?

Were they serious they have cancelled child birth in the US

Houston POE is becoming really tough. I was delayed for 5 hours. The CBP officers purposely didn't want to attend to me as they kept picking up and dropping my passport. One of the officers a lady there said she wasn't ready to attend to any baby mama. Who be baby mama? So just get your acts together from the word Go or else be ready for serious drilling. They are getting tired of the huge preggos coming to Houston.

Part 2 of my DW's experience. Challenge with Dr. E

In summary, I guess Dr E has so many patients and very busy. I agree with that but I just felt bad that she should have informed us earlier. If you are using Dr E, please make sure you follow up on her and probably have an alternative ready.

I noticed she has increased her delivery fees to $2000 from $1800 and she now collects payment for ultrasound, lab tests and newborn care. She has so many patients now because she charged lesser than Dr. F before but this is an eye opener. Na to Shine person eyes make e no enter one chance. Make person no go do cent wise dollar foolish

Was planning on traveling latest 31st of March, but this Emirates new policy review means I will be traveling next week. I will be 32 weeks plus. POE would be Houston.

I called Emirates office last month when this issue of 32 weeks came up. I just called them again now, the number of weeks for single uncomplicated is 36 weeks. All you need is your fit to fly and signed medical certificate from their website. Please let's always confirm. So many people have bought tickets based on the 36 weeks. Before person go enter high jump.

I don't think men will condescend so low to insulting themselves (I stand to be corrected- this is my opinion sha). The things I see in all women social media groups are heartbreaking. Many times I have seen some ladies try to read meaning to my posts but I just ignore them. We should just try and be focused on the reason we are here. Some questions are so annoying, if you can't comment without insults waka pass. Above all if you lie and scheme and do all sorts just to deliver your child in the US you are bringing that child into this world on a wrong foundation. It's wiser to save and plan ahead to avoid cutting corners.

In my opinion, hope clinic discounted rate are for low income earners and isnt applicable to us foreigners who dont actually earn an income in US. I advise u stay clear of them. I called them while i was in Richmond, but considering d paperwork i had to fill and disclosing info that are nt true, i walked away. I used dr. Rubina khan in memorial hermann and i didnt regret it.

I used Dr. Rubina Khan the last time but the clinic was really far from where I stayed. She's such a great person and really helpful. I won't mind a cheaper paed that is near now. However this paperwork and low income thing I don't know

Hello Nairalanders, I am scheduled to leave for Houston next week so I thought today was a good day to see my doctor before my departure and to request for a 'fit to fly certificate'. The doctor was like 'hope you are fully prepared'. That he had 2 of his patients whom he had given such certificates within the last 2/3 weeks denied entry and returned. He said he didn't ask them for details of why but one of them had already had 2 babies in the US.
Now I'm worried and scared as it appears this Trump motivated rigidity may have made things tougher.

No need to be scared once you have done your homework well you will be fine

You are on point. Every bill is negotiable no stamp on it. I will advice those going to houston to look for hope clinic and use for ur baby's visit after birth. I paid $30 for pku, lab and office visit and they do hearing test for $20 as against the $130 quote the hospital gave me but didn't do it. There charges ranges from $30- $75 depending on your income so when filling the form fill a low amount as ur income so u qualify for the $30 package.

Please I want to find out is it Hope Clinic that will give the form? Thanks

[quote author=muyiwaojo1 post=53344256]Hello everyone, please I need a little clarification here. I have this sister, She has a valid visa, she got it last year when

Hi, what type of visa did she apply for medical or tourist? If its medical and she went with her documents before she was issued the visa, and has also travelled with it. I don't think there should be a problem except it was a tourist visa she applied for. This said, her husband may be granted the visa and her visa not revoked. We don't know the VOs mind but most advice given here is based on the basic requirements and peoples experiences so far.

Hello Madam, The first time you applied in 2014 for a conference and you didn't use the visa for the purpose for which you got it rather you used it for childbirth. Assuming you went for the conference and then went for childbirth afterwards it would have been a different thing. Secondly you applied in December 2016 for a renewal via Dropbox for a tourist visa and you were pregnant. If you had stated medical and you were issued the visa, it wouldn't stop you from going for your Christmas visit. Sincerely the VO just felt you lied and intentionally collected the visa for another purpose and used it for another. Hence the reason the denial of your husband and son.

Madam just forget reapplying for now because it will be a case of desperation.

I just feel we are getting this thing wrong. Some people will apply and say they just discovered a week after making the application. Then use it for the purpose it was given. Others will say I was not asked when they know their intention for collection. Why don't you tell the VO if you were not asked. We complicate issues for others and make everyone a potential suspect when applying hence the high rate of denial these days. Please let's just stop the issue of this letter of intent. Let's just do the right thing. If am a VO I will be so angry when I see issues like this. It makes them feel as if we think they are not smart.

Good day my wonderful people.Though I already scheduled an appointment for mid February to visit the embassy for detailed explanation and new application but I a lil bit confused. Don't know if that's the next thing to do. Kindly help a sister out.

Hello Madam, it's good to know that you have made a new application. Please get all your documents and previous receipts together and be hopeful that the VO will resolve the issue of the revoked visa. A good explanation and your documents will go a long way to save you stress and even make your husband's application be considered. Just follow the right route for posterity sake. Then you can be rest assured that you did the right thing.
That it worked for another person is not a guarantee it will work for you. Think of the stress of sitting in the plane for hours to get to the POE and be turned back.

Hello everyone
I am new to this forum, Please I need your opinion on this issue . I want to apply for the US Visa for training in March this year, which I already have Invite for, which i also plan to attend. secondly i am planning to use the visa for child birth later in the year as i am already some weeks pregnant. I wish to know if i suppose to disclose my pregnancy during the interview process or should i just stick with my main purpose dor now which is training and do a letter of intent later.
pls advice.

Hello Madam it's better when you state the training you disclose your pregnancy and go with your hospital correspondence and statement of account to prevent the issue of misinformation in the future. As it is now, letter of intent does not hold water. It's better to be safe than sorry. Cheers
