He further said "they couldn't be tried or jailed because they were juveniles at the time.

If number 1 has not been done between September and now, I'm afraid your suspicions might turn out to be true. However give it some time as long as your patience can carry you.

I have a problem my wife was given an appointment letter since september last year and have been awaiting to be captured into the government payroll.
To me she has been scanned cos getting an appointment letter is easy very easy from Abuja ,but getting captured Na the Koko cos not easy getting paid.
Me as a man ,iv done my part but from day 1 I told her Na scam but u know with women.This Jobs are organised by a syndicate ,like I heard they were like 40 taken,and I believe all they are waiting for is May 29,they slug in their names ,the man is his her uncle but I might expose him soon as all transfers made via my account.

I need hear from genuine civil servants pls.
Total each candidate paid was 2 million.

I see most people commenting na scam na scam but I have a slightly different opinion.

1. Has she completed the documentation in the said agency and it has been confirmed that they are all in? Some indications will be to have written letter of assumption of duty and a staff file must be opened for all new intakes. Which means by now they must have been assigned staff ID number aka File number.

2. If number 1 has been done, the payment will now depend on the agency and how fast they can complete their documentations, pass to salaries and wages which will approve the new intakes, then pass to IPPIS if it is a federal govt agency for payroll capturing.

Very good advice. In countries where systems work..... before you even apply... you will know what the job requires.... and when given the begin date... that job is yours.... there are no surprise rules and conditions. In Nigeria... it is not so in general... so it is for you to protect your employment status. Forget about sending in resignation letter 30 days or whatever before. Like the above suggested..... go do your interviews.... tell your employer you are sick since most likely if you have keave... they will deny you... that you are showing signs of COVID-19 and will go do a test. Go begin your new job and after a week or so... if you like it... remain .... tell your former employer you don't know when you'll be back... then resign two weeks later. If you don't like the new job.... go take a COVID-19 test ... show up to resume work with your test results to let the boss know you are now COVID-19 free. Life goes on.

Forget any job that the employer wants to make sure you left your job.... that is a big red flag........ he wants you to be at his mercy .

You are making sense but not all company will give the offer till you leave your former work place. Some will ask for confirmation of your resignation
Also for the minimum wage thing, I quite disagree. Look at shell, chevron, agip are you saying they use the Nigerian minimum wage structure.

My brother it is our own fellow Nigerians that are killing us. The country head of my previous company earns about 3m monthly and does not care about the staff.

Thank you very much. If you don't get the offer letter before you resign, how then are you sure you will get the offer after you resign. So in that case, if you are asked to go resign before they give the offer, that right there is your red flag number 1. Run o.

Hello guys I will like to advise us on job change
because I was so frustrated with my recent job, after going for interview with another it took them time to reach back and told me to resign from my current job to process my new job.
After resigning, 3days before I went to the new company I was called that I will be trained for 2yrs which was the second red flag.

The first red flag is that all the top officers of the company were women which I was uncomfortable with.

I got there yesterday to pick up work tool and all I saw was a turn off
1. IT guy asked me to turn on my data to set up the laptop they will give me
2. We will be working from home till Corona clears out. No power (Gen) support, I asked for data and the hr guy said I will reach out to Admin.
3. No pension, hmo, housing scheme, transportation, I was already boiling inside of me
4. He said I am resuming as a contract staff and they will make me full staff at their convenient time. That I just heard that day.
4. I will work one year before I am entitled to leave. I will be under supervision for 2yrs and cannot leave the company within that period
5. Most annoying part is that he said it is a Christian company I nearly slap the guy.

These and many other red flags I saw.

So guys do not resign from your previous job before taking another offer. If the new offer is not good enough turn it down and continue with the old job till a better one comes.

Okay, I feel led to comment on this topic and give my advice. My advice is very simple and could help the next person that might make this same mistake. Here is my suggestion.
1. Get the offer letter from the new job and make sure you understand it very well, ask questions at every point if you are not clear then ask them to give you time to resign from your present job. Don't be desperate.
2. Since most of them will not be entiely open as in this case, don't resign from your current job rather take a leave from your annual leave, casual leave or any leave available, call in sick for 2 days if you like.
3. Use those days to resume and try out the new job and watch for the red flags. Usually within the first week of your resumption you would have known if you will stay or not.
4. If it's good, go back to resign properly even if it means you might forfeit some things, otherwise go back to your old job peacefully without notifying them.

I have a lot to say and I know there are different cases. I will be glad to help if anyone has further questions.

When I asked my friend which accout he paid to, turned out it's the same account where K was given as Kingsley in his case.

This is also a popular trend on telegram. I got added to a group that I know nothing of, but when you ask questions, you will be asked to dm the admin. So I did to query him further, less than 5mins into our chat he deleted me from the group cos he knows I will spoil his scam plan but I managed to screenshot our chats before he blocked me. Meanwhile my friend told about one @financial_coinbase that scammed him already. I'm on his case now. I will post it here when I'm done with him.

Fisrt of all she's not the one that hacked the account, they used her account and used her. The main guys are behind the scene.

I'm quite encouraged that most of the comments here are ones with intellectual tone. You can't be in the media industry and do your thing your way. A public opinion program was stopped on a certain radio like a year or 2 ago. Most of the listeners including me were crying at the last episode of the program and it was clear they had recieved NBC directive to shut the program down. Your knowledge is very little I can see clearly. But first let me tell that suicide is never an option. Secondly, I'm very aware of this issue and Daar Communications really erred on this. I personally won't manage where my salary hasn't be paid for over 10months and guys there are just staying cos people like you will ask why they didn't go to work. I would even like that NBC force them to pay all the salaries being owed.

I have lived in Abuja, I currently live in Lagos. All she has said are very true. Let me just pick one of the points.

Police officers in Abuja are very respectful because they don't know who is who based on say government officials full there.

In Lagos, they don't care who you be until you show them who you are.
