UndisputedBosom:Must I go start my own forum because I have a little suggestions that could improve Nairaland? Did you see any hate in my opening post? Why are you like this? Someone made a little suggestion to see how he can contribute to the Forum he enjoys visiting daily and you start throwing invectives on him... Are you hating on Seun and looking for a way to destroy his work? I just don't get it. Nairaland is what it is today, because many people still visit it and make posts/comments here. Whatsoever your reasons are for advising people to go open their own forum, is best known to you. Do you think this is the first Nigerian forum? Or the only Nigerian forum? |
I couldn't get across to you because there is simply no way to get across to you... However, I have suggestions to make in order to improve Nairaland and make it more interactive while still keeping it Nigerian. These suggestions are: 1. The 'LIKE' button is like something you copied from Facebook and is reminiscing of FB and making it look as if you were trying to copy things from FB to make Nairaland acceptable. I feel this button should be removed and replaced with the 'HAIL' button if someone agrees with a comment which is in line with his/her thoughts and ideology. This is more Nigerian and very innovative and would do whatsoever the 'LIKE' button has been doing in/for Nairaland. 2. I don't see what the 'SHARE' button is doing on Nairaland, when clicking on it doesn't actually share the comment in the forum or anywhere else. In my opinion, I'm thinking you intended it to act more like a 'dislike' button without stating so for reasons obvious to you. I might be mistaken, but I noticed that that is exactly what the button is being used for. i.e. to show descent, disagreement or dislike. I am suggesting therefore that the 'SHARE' button be removed and replaced with 'WAIL'. I believe this is very Nigerian and should be used to show disagreement, descent or dislike for a comment... These are my few suggestions, however, the onus lies on you to either effect or not effect the changes being proposed here. Thank you in advance as you take a look at my suggestions to see whether they can make Nairaland better. I rest my case. |

fortunejum:Please, bear in mind that the car manufacturer often recommends Tyre specifications along with the required Tyre pressure. Moreover, the Tyre manufacturer only tells you not to inflate your tyre beyond a certain psi and not below it. See my post above... My advice here is to stick to the car manufacturer's recommendations on both tyre and psi specs. |
Sincere4u:2010 Honda Civic - 32psi 2010 Honda Pilot - 32psi The pix attached are for the Pilot. Honda recommended 32psi, while Maxxis instructed that their tyre should not be inflated beyond 44 psi. To be on the safe side, I stuck to Honda's advice...

Jaideyone:Little wonder Sen. Ben Murray Bruce is always preaching commonsense. It is actually not common. For the records, how many times did Patience Jonathan sue Amaechi or even Soyinka who ain't no governor for insulting and calling her names? Is that not libelous enough? A governor in Naija enjoys immunity from both civil and criminal prosecution. I still dey wonder whether you don write new constitution wey be say na only criminal prosecution the immunity cover. Lol... Meanwhile, I did not say everyone must toe my line of argument. The world would become too monotonous and aptly and overtly boring, you know, like they say, variety is the spice of life or even better put, the more, the merrier... |
og2711:Patience might not be refined, but she's educated and well-read, rising to a position of Permanent Secretary in the Civil Service before retiring. But for this woman, guy! Me I no know anything o, whether Na hairdresser abi na Pedicurist, ṣebi na beautician all of them be... |
tdayof:Sorry dear! in Nigeria, the wife of the president is an ordinary citizen like you and I and as such could be dealt with accordingly. But, a Governor enjoys immunity from prosecution like the president. May be you live in Gabon that's why you are not aware of that... |
Jaideyone:Truly, dullardry is infectious. FYI, Gov. Fayose can't and won't appear in court because of Aisha. Do yourself a favour and grab a copy of the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, after that, read it, read it, read it, I said read it and finally, read it again. Then, you can come back and reread your post to see how low you have fallen in the intelligence ladder just because of zombiesm... |
divinehand2003:When Amaechi was on rampage in the last dispensation, reeling out allegations after allegations on the wife of the last president, where were you? |
FemiOlarinde:Mr propaganda, who told you they are Ijaw militants? Were you with them? I hope the DSS is going through threads like this, so that they can invite some people over to their office for questioning. Since, its apparent these people know the ethnic group of the militants/militias/invaders, it would be obvious that they know much more than they are letting on here... |
GAZZUZZ:Masquest! we art thou? |
So these are the 14 Conspirators that are trying hard to truncate our hard earned democracy in order to enthrone tyranny and dictatorship? As it stands right now, apart from Fayose, Saraki seems to be the only other opposition against a bad and repressive government and its absolutely clear that the government and their goons are wont to do anything and everything to get rid of him. But, I have one phrase for them: 'Una don fail'... |

In the ranking of cars, the Camry comes higher than an Avensis, which is basically a Toyota Carina II and is just higher than the Corolla in the pecking order... Go for the Avensis... Its better in terms of fuel economy... It is more chic than the Camry... The parts are also more affordable than the Camry... Its also a more recent car... But, the cash is yours, the car will be yours too. The decision is therefore yours... |
feedthenation:Why is it that it is now they are tracing stolen funds to Governor Fayose's accounts? |

Its not about the job jare. I am 100% sure that man (employer) has some scam going on in there. I am 100% sure he is among those producing fake drinks. Don't be surprised he would have taken your friend somewhere for oath taking not to reveal anything that goes on in there... |

I think I just fell victim too. I opened a pack of Lipton Earl Grey tea this morning and took a sachet out and was enjoying my tea jejely and nwanyonly while reading this thread. After reading for a while and after finishing my drink, I decided to go check all the labels of items I had in the house, especially, my tea stock and baby's food. Lo and behold! here is what I find... Pic 1: The Lipton pack Pic 2: The original label (tampered) and the fake label. Pic 3: The scratched-off (tampered) label. Pic 4: The fake label.

Alphaoscar:But your "innocent youths" are not endangered when they go there to work for the oil companies and earn big, fat, massive salaries. Abi? |
Why are you guys so quick to bring random pictures of construction sites to the public? Please for your information, we are Nigerians and live in Nigeria. If they are onsite, we'll see them. If they construct roads, we'll drive them. There is no point in carrying out all this propaganda and hogwash. Its becoming increasingly annoying and irritating already. Abeg! Make una allow us hear word jare... |

As soon as I saw the news this morning on Newspaper Headlines on Channels TV, I knew a new industry has been birthed in the Niger Delta region. All forms of groups, agitators, negotiators, conflict resolvers would spring up as soon as money turns up... All I see up there is a desperate attempt at cashing in on the expected cash flow from the crisis. All manner of groups are throwing invectives at the NDA in a bid to see how they can curry favour from the FG and corner the expected cash to themselves... My guess is that it will only be foolhardy for the FG to fall for their antics and think the NDA is in disarray. Is it not clear that those people and groups making all these noise are not the ones destroying oil installations and infrastructures? Is it not also clear that they are only springing up when negotiations have been mentioned? The FG should ignore all these people and look for very serious and endearing solutions to end this malaise, once and for all... |
mikolo80:So what is the current stats now? |
mikolo80:All, except the TSA which was to be implemented in phases. This is necessary to enable our banks bear the brunt of the withdrawal of gov't funds from their systems without leading to financial crisis and balance sheet issues, which may lead to losses in profits, thereby entrenching job cuts and losses, hence increasing unemployment. But, alas! The current gov't decided to initiate it wholesomely without considering its ripple effects will be. Of course, it has led to job cuts and loses and even more job losses... |
