Yes, the man senior me. Me, too senior the Canadian PM. Does that make me more reasonable or sensible than the Prime Minister of Canada?

If its by age, do you think Nigeria would have been independent? Considering that those who fought for the Nigerian independence were mostly in their twenties, while those the were fighting against (colonial masters) were by far their senior. Wise up, you gerontocrat...

This is not a "push the blame".

Just a "look into the past" how it could have prevented and help the present issue.
How does that solve the current outbreak now.

There is always an excuse for failure, but none for success.

Even goats who can't win an ordinary LG election are now heaping blames on a former President of the Federal Republic. So much for the blame game...

Titan5g:
Though they are both called tensioner , but not same. What they are telling you is the serpentine belt adjuster/ pulley
Timing belt is very different

Picture 1 - Timing belt tensioner
Picture 2 - Serpentine belt tensioner pulley

For what I know of Honda especially Pilot and Odessey
Thanks bro. I think it is the first pix you posted.

In addition to that low rattle sound at cold start up, there is a 'whining' or is it 'whirring' abi na 'whizzing' kinda noise like when a Toyota Hilux is reversing, when you shift into drive to move the car forward. But this sound stops after a while when the car is in motion. Apart from that, the car is otherwise fine, no Christmas lights on the dashy, no jerkings and no 'kpom' 'kpom' sound.

Guys just returned from my mechanic and we found the culprit grin
its the timing belt tensioner, we got a replacement from ladipo, the former had oil leaking and had some play.

Thanks for all your suggestions cool
I think I am experiencing same issue with my Honda Civic Coupé. All the mechanics I have discussed the issue with, seems to think it is the belt adjuster that is bad. Is the timing belt tensioner the same thing as the adjuster in the middle of some pulley-like structures?

PhonesReport Your Telco (MTN, Glo, Airtel, Etisalat, Etc) To NCC by FlyboyZee(op): 6:38pm On Jan 12, 2016
A friend sent this message to me on Whatsapp today and coincidentally, I saw a thread of Nairalanders complaining about a Telco making illegal and unauthorized deductions from their account balances.
Finally, NCC gives Nigerians a number to call. Dial 622 to report any telecommunication company that deducts your money illegally through dial tunes, SMS etc or arbitrarily without your consent. Place the call whenever you need to, it's toll free. Help circulate this information. This stealing just has to stop!
Like I said on that thread, don't just get mad. Please, get even. Call 622.

The Mods should move this to front page so that Nairalanders would be able to know how to get redress from the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) concerning their Telcos...

pheyikemi:
Hi everyone, how was your day? I know I'm not a regular face here but pls forgive me, I have to narrate my experience to you guys so u won't get robbed too.
It all started last week Jan 8 when my BIS was to expire, so I quickly recharged prior to that day, cos I preferred auto renewal due to its stress free nature. Jan 9 came and went, nothing happened, Jan 10 came also, meanwhile I couldn't access the network on these days.
Then I called the customer care line YESTERDAY and was told it was the network and that I should send EXPIRE to 21600, of which I did and I got some messages. Lo and behold, the internet usage was restored after my money was deducted for the MONTHLY subscription.
Guess what, I was told my subscription expired today, I immediately called the customer care again and I was told it was network issues which will soon be rectified. Having waited and waited w/out any solution, I called back and a lady called Ese/ Esie told me, there was nothing they could do, she even gave me the option of going to get another money to re-subscribe. angry angry
My reasons for wanting to tell u all what they did was
1. They robbed me on my birthday angry - no fear of God
2. They turned 1 month to 1 day using abraca-dabra - ain't a mu.mu o cheesy
3. If they must save for their fine with the FG, my money shdnt be included fa! angry
In Summary
MTN robbed me angry . Pls read the pictures from the 4th to the 1st, then the 5th
Hey! Don't just get mad. Please, get even by calling 622.

AfroKnight:
Dasuki did not act in isolation. Emefiele is an accomplice. Pastor Bakare has said what many others were afraid to say.

Who released the illegal money? Did it fall from heaven? CBN Governor must explain his role in this monumental embezzlement.
Who should have released the money? You? Tunde Bakare? Lol. I laugh when people just talk without a grasp of the situation, using street sentiments to assess situations without any knowledge of the workings of government.

What everyone should be asking, and what EFCC would ask is:

1. Did Mr. Emefiele follow the right processes, procedures or steps in releasing the money?

2. Was it approved and or authorized by the right authorities?

3. Are you saying that the CBN Governor should disobey the orders of the President and C-in-C of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria?

I don't get it. The onus here is not even on the release of the money, but how it was spent.

The question that beggars for answers right now is: was the money spent or disbursed in tandem with what it was released for? If Mr. Emefiele had done anything wrong in releasing Government money, approved by Government for government expenditure, I am a 100% sure, he would have been the first person that would have been arrested.

On this one, Mr Tunde Bakare got it wrong. He should have just stuck with reading the Bible, mastering it and quoting scriptures.

I ain't defending nobody here, but we should learn to ask questions and reason like educated people here as I believe everybody on this forum has one form of formal education or the other...

Xparm,

Fear no more. RT Briscoe is now the authorized dealer of Ford in Nigeria! I am also aware that they have certified mechanics around the country too. This is good news for Ford owners and prospective owners. You may want to contact them or go to their website - www.rtbriscoe.com. The only thing is that I am not sure they sell Ford Escape but please call them to verify.
Coscharis has been selling, servicing and maintaining Ford vehicles in Nigeria for a long time now. I think they also have the Ford Escape in stock.

Keep living in the past. GEJ that couldn't manage surplus cannot be trusted with subsidy removal. Where are the palleatives promised on the partial removal called SUREP?
Where are the palliatives PMB is providing?

Under GEJ, the story was that the country was not yet ready for a subsidy-less petrol pricing regime or the FG should provide palliatives to cushion the effect.

So, all of a sudden, the country is now ready for subsidy-less petrol pricing regime with no palliatives.

Hhm! I rest my case...

what is a government without the people and where will the people be without the government....personally I feel the responsibility of governance rests both on the government and the governed as both parties are intertwined and the relevance of either one cannot be overemphasized.....from this stand point Nigeria as a nation will only fail if both the government and the governed agree to it consciously or unconsciously.....so if APC were to fail in delivering their electioneering promises to us it will only mean that we have all failed collectively cus believe it or not we all have a role to play in governance......God bless Nigeria
Lies! Lies!! Lies!!!
PDP failed to deliver in almost all their promises and Nigeria did not fail, why are you guys of the opinion that if PMB and his APC fail on their promises, Nigeria would be doomed?

Be it OBJ, GEJ, PMB, etc, politicians remain politicians, lying and deceit is their forte and they use it desperately to deceive and cajole whoever allows him/her self to descend to such all time lowliness in order to get their way.

Be it PDP, PPA, APC, APGA, etc, they are all political parties with no conscience or ideologies, manned by selfish, greedy, self-centred and wicked people whose only intent is to propagate and continue to perpetuate themselves in power for every other reason apart from for the good of the common man.

PMB is not different either. He is just part of the statistics. Same ol', same ol'...

Sire, please cogitate deeply on my post. Buhari's success or failure is deeply tied to ours as a nation AT THIS PERIOD OF TIME IN NIGERIAN HISTORY WHERE OUR FORTUNES ARE DWINDLING. Any mistake made now may not be recovered from for a long time. Buhari is no saint and we may believe that he can successfully fail and it wont affect us but we would be wrong. Already, many of us are queueing for fuel which is sold at exorbitant rates, many of us are afraid to travel for fear of bad roads, kidnapping, Boko Haram, etc. Many of us do not have jobs and dont have the connections to get them. Many of our schools are decrepit and even rodents wont be comfortable in them. These are current happenings! Imagine what will happen should things be worse than this! Buhari wont suffer it o! He would only be insulted and case would be closed. He would live out his life and die happily at the end. We are the ones who would be left to pick up our failure and start over. Let us think about that critically!!!
You keep resounding this ish. IBB failed, Abacha failed, OBJ failed, did Nigeria fail?

What's so special about PMB failing self? After all, he is the one setting himself up for failure...

fratermathy:
You should know that in current Nigeria, it is IMPOSSIBLE to undertake a REVOLUTION without killing at least 5 persons! So your theory of bloodless revolution is not obtainable.

In the course of making such revolution, should the government fail, the following events are bound to occur:
1. Government officials including Buhari himself will escape from the country or be killed. In both cases, we gain nothing.
2. The common man shall battle among his colleagues for power and if care is not taken tyranny shall rise.
3. The constitution will definitely be suspended and things shall go awry, atleast for a short period of time.
4. Assuming the government fails, it is safe to deduce that funds will be lacking and alot of people will be jobless coupled with the fact that we wont have natural resources to export again. All these will render us economically barren and Nigeria will descend far far lower than South Sudan, Liberia and Zimbabwe.
5. Insecurity will ferment and become a plague. The so-called common men may be murdered and insurgents may take over the nation and impose some terrible dogma on all of us.

The list of probable events is endless. The truth is that WE NEED PMB to SUCCEED regardless of our own political disposition. We can guide him, spank him, criticise him but like a loving child, we must still wish him well in our heart and pray for the success of the Nigerian project is that tearing apart slowly.
You don't disappoint. Do you?

How many lives were lost when India re-engineered and became an economy to be reckoned with?

How much blood was shed while China were reworking themselves to emerge as a world economic power?

Who died Singapore for them to become an emerging economy?

Did Taiwan kill their citizens to emerge?

The days of bloody revolutions are gone. They happened in pre-medieval and medieval times. The word is ECONOMY. Who controls that controls everything. It is about economic revolution, my brother. Even, the colonialism going on right now is economic and not that civic ish the British did then.

Zimbabwe now uses the Chinese Yen, how many people died for that to happen? That's colonialism, its now all about controlling the economy and not about killing people yo stamp your authority. No wonder PMB is very high on your rankings...

Happy New Year!
