We were warned to invest with our spare money which I personally did. am not even disturbed. if it comes back on in January, which I doubt it would, then good for us, if it doesn't so be it. The greatest blame should be on the present government cos if our economy had been buoyant these folks wouldn't have come in the first place.
Very reasonable participant. Not all those dumb people trying to act as if e no pain dem, but dey find where to borrow money take rearrange things.

One can't deny the fact that MMM has help a lot of people, I'm not a participant of MMM but from what I've seen around it seems to be the answer to the prayers of people especially with the current economic situation in the country. I've observed that most of the people that want mmm gone are people that are well to do that like people to remain below them and never become something in life. When you realise that the person who is always asking you for money stops, you start getting jealous and angry. I hope MMM comes back though but they need to do serious damage control!
Don't feel like a superstar trying to sound off. NO POOR MAN, I repeat, NO POOR MAN participates in MMM. The only motive for participants is greed and the lure of quick money and not poverty please.

Poor people do not even have the money to eat, not to talk of putting it in a scheme and waiting 30 days for 30% return on investment. No way. A poor man would rather use the little money he can raise to buy/sell fast moving goods, so that he can raise a little money to at least feed him/herself everyday.

Do you also realize that it can be roughly put that N200,000 is the average amount invested per person in the scheme. Where poor man wan see that kind money. Think of all those women selling okra, tomatoes and pepper in the market, think of all those guys hawking their wares in wheelbarrows. Think of all those hawkers you see on the streets and try to convince yourself that they are 'Providing Help' and 'Getting Help' and then reread what you wrote up there that MMM has helped the poor. It is a scheme for the greedy, by the greedy and sustained by greed...

That's what I think we should all do
If he fails, we can't all fail. So many have failed in the past and heavens did not fall. Maybe, you might fail if he fails, but not all of us will. There is no need to wait for his failure because he has always been a failure-in-waiting and now he is a failure-in-manifestation.

Investment / MMM: The Rise And Rise Of Ponzi Schemes In Nigeria by FlyboyZee: 8:46pm On Dec 13, 2016

There is nothing new nor absurd seeing people queuing up in the banking hall to make cash deposits or transfers, but that person standing beside, behind or in front of you in the banking hall might just be making payments into a Ponzi scheme. But, with the current recession in the country and the growth of Ponzi schemes, one begins to understand why there is so much money moving around but making little or no impact economically and commercially in the country. With the proliferation of internet services across the country, e-commerce channels have no doubt changed the way we do business in Nigeria, as it has helped opened new vestiges of business opportunities, this has also made Ponzi schemes more easily and readily available, accessible and acceptable nationwide.

See the full details here and advice on how to safely make money from Ponzi schemes with limited risk...

There is Exclusive Stores down the same street (Sapele Road). Do note that the Exclusive Stores in Benin is same as the one located in Wuse II, beside EFFC's entrance and adjacent to Rockview Hotels. Its as big and good as Phil Hallmark.

What a big loss anyways. I hope they are insured sha?

Ghanaians never interfered in nigeria's political process or elections, so why the fvck do nigerians think they have a right to offer an opinion on what choice Ghanaians should make? If the same Ghanaians who voted for the same party 4years ago are pushing for change this time, common sense expects non-Ghanaians to respect that viewpoint. No matter how he puts it, it is clear that Reno was being sarcastic and full of mockery for this Admin. Yet, he stated the obvious no matter how anybody would attempt to deny it to high heavens. Reno's right on this one...

the drop in our main source of revenue and FX - oil. During the Goodluck's regime average production was at 2.4 million barrels a day, currently we are barely doing above 1 million bpd.

Was it also Goodluck's fault that oil production levels dropped from 2.4 mbpd to about 1mbpd?

OBJ did anything and everything to sustain oil production levels no matter what the price was, because he understood that it would be double calamity and eventually disastrous if prices were low and production was also low.

Yar' Adua had to come up with an Amnesty programme even when popular opinion was against it, in order to sustain production levels, no matter what the oil price was.

So also, Goodluck used all forms of persuasion, be it brutal, subtle or persuasive to ensure that oil production levels never dropped, no matter the price.

But, what happened when PMB came on board? Your guess is as good as mine.

So, there's no need blaming anyone, when the President refused to, or did not understand that it would be double jeopardy and seriously calamitous for oil prices to drop and for production levels to also fall. He failed to do the right thing by ensuring that oil production levels do not fall (this was within his precincts), instead he focused his attention on oil prices, which he cannot control. After which, he's blaming everyone else but himself for what he has launched us into...

Being a Nigerian Music Celebrity (let’s call it NMC) right now, comes in all shapes, shades and strands. Many a Nigerian youth have taken out so much time off their lives in trying to achieve this feat.

Without special skill(s) or talent such as a good, soothing and unique voice like that of Whitney Houston, Luther Vandross, Bright Chimezie, Timi Dakolo, etc. Or mastery of any musical instrument, as displayed by the likes of Carlos Santa, Jimmy Hendrix, Kenny G, King Sunny Ade, Victor Uwaifo, Dan Mariya Jos, Tee-Mac, Aara, Wale Sax, etc. What about the ability to compose beautiful, meaningful and alluring lyrics and music like Kenny Edmonds (Baby Face), R Kelly, Jean Wyclef, Fela Anikulapo Kuti, Onyeka Owenu, Bongos Ikwue, Dare Art Alade and so on? Or be able to put up great artistic or dance performance(s) like James Brown, Michael Jackson, Usher Raymond, Jennifer Lopez, Shakira, P-Square, etc. Oh! Forget all that! Don’t worry, all hope is not lost.

It took folks like King Sunny Ade, Evangelist Ebenezer Obey, Sir Victor Uwaifo, Rex Lawson, Ultimate Warrior, Osadebe, Oriental Brothers, Oliver d’Coque, Dan Mariya Jos and the others with all their great bands, wonderful musical compositions and skills, beautiful lyrics, wonderful dances/performances and unique voices decades to attain anything close to being a celebrity. Come on! Who have that kind of time? why should anyone waste their time learning a musical instrument, practice dancing or exploit their God-given talents to become a celebrity? Like the saying goes now “who e epp?” LOL…

10 QUICK AND EFFECTIVE STEPS TO CELEBRITY STATUS

The following quick steps would effectively help you to gain celebrity status in so short a time, shorter than the time it takes to break eggs to make omelet.

1. If you think music is the ‘ish’, gather all forms of noise generating objects such as bottles, empty cans, disposed barrels (drums), jerry cans, cooking pots, plates and pans, cutleries and so on, to make any form of sound using a sound mixer and an amplifier to make the sounds more appealing, clearer and listenable…

2. Choose a name such as ‘Badoo’, ‘Bahd Guy’, etc. that depicts you as a societal ill and deviant character and also make such name a bye-line or slogan that confers on you a deviant, bad and terrible personality.

3. While churning out silly lyrics that make nursery rhymes look like something from rocket science, do not forget to insult all those that listen to your music by calling them out with names and phrases such as ‘awon goons mi…’, ‘all my thugs…’, ‘where the bitches at?’, etc.

4. Remember words like ‘jogodo’, ‘kurukere’, ‘Limpopo’, ‘kpalanga’, etc, make sure you are able to coin words with absolutely no meaning! This is very critical for your success as it would later open a trademark for you.

5. After releasing a song that’s bereft of any form of musicality, but full of empty words, silly rhymes, shouts, hollerings, name calling and insults in a voice that the touts and thugs at Oshodi, Obalende, Mile 2 and Ojota Bus stops would come to you for lessons in voice thuggery, you then act as if you are the next best thing after sliced bread.

6. In your song, make sure that you shout your name at the end of every phrase or line, so as to make it stick to your audience’s minds as you continue to insult their sensibilities and assault their eardrums into accepting your ‘hit’ music.

7. Now that your ‘hit’ is out on the streets, it’s time to pick on a reigning celebrity, event or institution and create a ‘beef’ by being controversial. While at it, ensure that you fight, quarrel with and insult anybody or institution who is a ‘who-is-who’ in the entertainment industry to draw attention to yourself. This is akin to pulling a rope down to pull you out of a pit.

8. Organize and attend interviews that would focus, discuss and x-ray your controversies, fights and quarrels with important persons rather than on your ‘hit’ song, in order to promote your new found celebrity status rather than promoting your ‘hit’ song that is out on the streets.

9. Don’t forget to always get as high as possible on whatever cheap stuff you can drink, smoke or sniff! This would help you wear the appropriate celebrity look, speak more slurry and make you walk as gingerly as possible to get the right swag for your fans. LWKMD.

10. Finally, since you are not likely to create another silly ‘hit’ easily again, try to find other celebrities to collabo with. After all, two empty heads may just create another empty noise they’ll call a ‘hit’.

With these steps highlighted above, it would be easier for anyone to attain a celebrity status faster than it would take you to like a comment on social media. I wish you luck in your new found status as a celebrity and do hope that your next song or album would be a ‘hit’ as the previous one and as you start filling out forms with your occupation as ‘celebrity’. LOL…

Remember to thank me later.

Mine is a 3.5KVA system which I have used for about 3 years now. Yet, I can still get about 8 hours of back up power if it is charge for at least 4 hours. It used to give me over 60 hours at installation, but then I miscaformed by adding 2 fridges, 1 AC and washing machine. My mind is still telling me that that could be the reason why my batteries are not operating as efficiently as they used to in early 2014...

My brother owned a 2008 civic and I currently drive an 08 corolla, I love the two cars but if asked to choose, I will still go for a corolla. I just love the ruggedness of the car.

what I said was that the corolla is fast, I have gone 210km/hr in a 2008 model. I was not doing a comparison
Corolla faster than a Civic? Guy! Bone yarns, that Corolla is a drag and a big bore. I'm sure it took almost forever and a long stretch of good road with almost no traffic for you to achieve that. The Civic will do it in a far shorter time, distance and a lower RPM. A trial, they say...

I don't know what it is, but I feel the Corolla is over rated. It is boring to drive, slower than the Civic in terms of acceleration and take-off, the interior is as bland as they come with poorer quality materials than the Civic, if you want to talk of durability, well, just understand that the body panels fall off at will...

As for the Civic, it looks compact outside, but is far more roomier than its look, the interior is more chic and fascinating and built of higher quality materials than that of the Corolla, it is fast from take-off, swifter, sharper and has far better acceleration than the Corolla, it has a smoother drive quality and handles better than the Corolla. The Civic look fragile, but the body panels are firmer and of higher quality than that of the Corolla. If its about the AC, the Corolla doesn't stand a chance near the Civic.

I didn't talk about fuel economy, abuse and maintenance costs, because it is difficult to draw a different line for any of them

I have driven both cars, I own a 2010 Civic, while my office and landlady both have 2010 Corollas. For me, I'll do the Civic over and over again, instead of the Corolla. If you have driven the Civic before the Corolla, it'll be like a downgrade when you drive the Corolla, even as both cars are 'age mates'. But, well it is a Nigerian thing, they'll rate the Corolla even with all its drawbacks over the Civic, just because it is a Toyota. What do I know anyway? that's Naija for you. Lol...

Most manuals will clearly instruct you not to use ATFs for steering fluids, but few Nigerian car owners bother to read their car manuals.

Transmission fluids are clearly different from steering fluids.
Please, do you have the steering fluid? And how much are you selling? I would have called you, but would rather you post it here so that most people would know its available in Nigeria and not as expensive as they thought, which most probably are the major reasons they are using ATF as power steering fluid. Thanks in advance...
