7 years ago I caught a thief in my supermarket, for hiding some groceries in his pants and attempting to make away with them. His family got the services of a radical lawyer. In court he argued he was eventually going to present the concealed items to the cashier if I hadn't intercepted him, citing that it was convenient for him to carry the items in his pants as he has a fracture on his arms.
