Politics › Re: You Eat Lagos’ Salt, Yet Speak Ill Of Lagos - Lasisi Olagunju by FlyoruB: 10:18pm On Oct 16, 2016
AnambraDota:
When Yorubas talk how much lagos made others i start wondering why lagos aint making all these army of jobless yoruba youth living with their parents in lagos squatter without ventilation.

What is lagos waiting for to make millions of yoruba youths that flock pubs by 6AM to drink while every weekend they troop to betting centers to play football pools thinking that billions is on the horizon.

Go tot major markets, parks and shops in Lagos and weep for yoruba youths, i wonder how they stay in those houses at agege, ajegunle, mushin, orile, shomolu etc with its poor states.

Why isnt lagos making those yorubas living in makeshift structures at isale eko, makoko and ilaje?

Why do yorubas think everybody owns lagos a rattass for being successful there, why are all these fuss about lagos self.

If lagos is favorable to people why isnt she favoring her citizens first instead of foreigners?
Why are some of you loud-mouth yeeeebos like this?? The rubbish and nonsense you wrote up there will apply to any other ethnicity in Lagos, yet you make it seem as though it's an exclusive preserve of Yorubas. Why not stay in your utopian region and turn it into the paradise of your dreams instead of going to other people's region to earn a living yet you still talking crap about them? You go to other people's parts to hustle and the next thing you start making wild and flippant insinuations about them, exhibiting your inferiority complex by calling them names. What am I even saying, you lots do same to each other in your enclave. It's the same way you abuse Ngwas (the aboriginal owners of Aba) of being 'jobless' and 'lazy'. Na una way.

Do you know that during that mile12 crisies, a yoruba man was able to save his life because he could speak hausa that's why he was not killed by the hausas.

This is getting really interesting.

Sanusi's message was actually a coded warning to the Yorubas that they cannot let Lagos go like that.
Guy, small small o. Why you dey take Panadol for Yoruba people headache?? Dem send youhuh Abeg we no send o. Go and achieve Biafra which we're all hoping you all succeed in doing and leave Yoruba people to sort themselves. Chai!!

You guys should be totally ashamed of yourself
How can you even compete with strangers
Keep up with the Omo Nile

Even education you guys are not even going to schools again

Your low i.q is obviously too much of a handicap therefore your clear comprehension deficiency can be excused. If the Yorubas and other ethnicities that you are insulting for being magnanimous and generous enough to accommodate and share their market with you and your fellow almajiris were to treat your empty chest thumping lot like the leprous ingrates that you have shown yourselves to be, you all would no doubt be condemned to cannibalizing yourselves like the crabs that you are in that unproductive region of yours. Shior! Fvck off my mention you lousy pri.ck.
Politics › Re: Can Igbos Survive Without Lagos? by FlyoruB: 7:53am On Jul 12, 2016
Obviously Lagos with its 20million+ population represents their single largest market in Africa where they enjoy the freedom to trade and do business without hindrance. Igbos generally take the ethnicities that accept them into their markets as foolz and inferior for being dumb enough to allow them in to 'dominate and control' their turf. For this simple reason I doubt any sane independent nation won't enact protectionist policies against their encroachment, the Kenyans and Ghanaians have been smart enough to do just, but Yorubas obviously can't overtly do same thanks to timidity, cowardice, and 'One Nigeria' factor. Same can't be said for places like Rivers where even their own igboid kinsmen refuse to sell them land in parts of the state. Of course they can and will definitely survive without Lagos in the own independent country, only that their market access would be significantly smaller.

Scholes007:
Your problem is that you have already created a sort of stereotype against the Igbo, from what the Op wrote, it shows the okada man was in no way a tribalist. His choice of word "prefer" shows He would allow anyone repair his work but not when his prefered mechanic is just some poles away. Did the op ask the tribe of the nearby mechanic? Did he ask the relationship bw the man/the mechanic?... These are things are what shows the tribal tendency of the op. Because he has an already biased mind and would always not look at things beyond those biases
Bullshyt. You Mr. Man are the biggest hypocrite. Your kinsmen have been all over this thread thumping their chests claiming superiority, deriding others for not being as tribalistic and protectionist, and forming Einstein while trying stvpidly to defend the indefensible. You no fit call them to order yet you have the effrontery to accuse others of tribalism?? You fool no one with your pretentious posturing -- definitely not me anyway. Most of you guys just can't help your selves. Again I repeat that it isn't your fault, it's the stvpid Yorubas forming sophisticated that I blame. When Ambode starts demolishing your shops and showing favoritism towards his people God will punish any of you that accuses him of igbophobia, envy, or jealousy, coz that is the treatment you have all been preaching on this thread and deriding Yorubas for not adopting against you all in their midst. You have made it crystal clear that such policies are the most pragmatic ways of dealing with your lousy lot. Incorrigible hypocrite like you.

With all the money you've been repatriating for decades, Ibadan is more developed that your cities.

I won't even mention Ogun state. undecided
Guy, all this their chest-thumping don justify the apprehension of the Rivers state minorities who loathe and distrust them, including/especially their own igboid cousins over there. Why should any right-thinking host accommodate such loud-mouths after this revealing confessions?? You come out and boldly state that your aim is to 'dominate/control' and yet you scream marginalization or igbophobia when your host begins to enact his own protectionist policies to protect his own people from your outlandish ambitions (similar to the policies you confess to operate in your own region to gain an edge over non-natives)huh Na wah o.
Politics › Re: Irony Of The Igbo Marginalization Theory. by FlyoruB: 8:26pm On Jul 11, 2016
Smh. To think that these fellows are actually bragging and gloating over what they term 'group economics'. If other ethnicities were to also aggressively and collectively adopt such protectionist practices, needless to say that the Igbos won't even have any other market outside their region as they would simply not be welcomed. I don't blame them though. Na my Yoruba folks I blame for stvpidly embracing them without reservation, only to be called fools in return, and openly lectured about how smarter they are for practicing 'group economics'. Shio.

Please let us forget igbo or no igbo author. The main fact has been pointed out, op please permit me to add more:
1. We engage more in travelling abroad rather than investing at home, let us go to Anambra (Nnewi precisely) you will be amazed how ibos are trooping home to develop their states.

2. Morals- our youths these days always believe that without cheating or doing 419 or taking what does not belong to them, that they can't make it in life

Apart from Lagos and Ogun tell me which state is performing up to expectation now. Let us put sentiments aside, let us face real issues here
May God help us
Ops kudos
Sentiments aside, You and the Op have no moral right to poke your noses in Yoruba affairs. Why not first direct your open letter at your broke and oil producing Imo state state or your pitiful Enugu where the governor is still fasting and praying for God's intervention in solving her problems, or is it Abia that has become synonymous with filth and squalor. Until you do that, just please STFU and deal with your own regional problems.

Politics › Re: Regionalism Better Than True Federalism by FlyoruB: 7:57am On Jun 14, 2016
@pulsa: I don't really care whether it is called Federalism or Regionalism, as long as it gives the Yorubas (rather than non-Yorubas) the exclusive right and freedom to decide for themselves how to chart their own destiny as a people. Regionalism did not prevent Zik, an igboman/non-Yoruba, from trying to become Premiere of the then Western Region headquartered at Ibadan (not even Lagos). Neither did it prevent the central govt (the unholy alliance of Balewa/Ahmadu Bello/Akintola) from undue interference via federal might and destabilization of the Western region and jailing Awo. Personally I am for any arrangement that provides a clear path to secession.
