PoliticsRe: Tajudeen Baruwa Takes Over NURTW Secretariat, Unseats MC Oluomo by Focusmind: 3:09pm On Mar 23
NURTW is becoming a potent political tool.

Struggle for leadership positions of unions in Nigeria is about self-aggrandizement and embezzlement.

PoliticsRe: Trending Video Of “obi-kwankwaso” Chants As Peter Obi Visits Kwankwaso In Kano by Focusmind: 10:16am On Mar 23
People should know that BAT has sealed 2027 Presidential election

To unseat him will require the special Grace of God

A man that could not be stopped while he was out of power.

How do you expect him to be defeated while he holds so much power undecided

He controls the SW and greater part of NW; NE and NC and SS
TravelRe: Most Visited African Countries By International Tourists by Focusmind:
You will not understand the infrastructural deficit of this country until you step out of Nigeria

Morocco is miles ahead of Nigeria in terms of having livable cities and accessible infrastructure, especially, transport infrastructure.

These are the things that attracts tourists. Tourists wants to use the public bus and the transport systems to move round the cities and hinterlands

Then the issue of the type of human beings inhabiting each country. Moving on our streets alone would induce fear to any tourist without a guide.

The poverty level is also a factor - the quality of human beings matters a lot in terms of how countries are viewed. If you want to look at the quality of human beings in any country, take a look at the people on the street.

Finally, the INSECURITY!!!!! Our problems are many
PoliticsRe: Hundreds Of Boko Haram, ISWAP Terrorists Hold Eid Prayer In Lake Chad by Focusmind: 7:39pm On Mar 21
Nigerian army, over to you.

When countries could monitor the movement of people in other countries, miles away, we are struggling to monitor the movement of terrorists and herdsmen on motor bikes and trucks.? undecided

GIS has advanced. We should seek help from those with satellite technologies
CrimeRe: Two Nigerians Bag 21yrs Jail Term For Drugging, Raping Teenage Schoolgirl In UK by Focusmind: 7:32pm On Mar 21
All these small small girls in UK

If you dont take time, they will put you for trouble

A 15 year old girl, going out to smoke and drink undecided

Note that those two Nigerians were born and brought up there

I have noticed that Nigerians that came through japa are more hard working those born and raised in the West

My former colleagues do complain about the behavior of their children that were born there after they had japad

If you don't take time as a Nigerian parent in the West, you would loose your children, especially, your sons to the system
SportsRe: FIFA Rejects Super Eagles Protest Against DR Congo, NFF Heads To Court by Focusmind: 6:47am On Mar 18
NFA should press on if they believe they have a case. undecided

An English team or any European national team would have done the same.

Let's stop castigating NFF on this matter. They should exhaust all options.

If Morocco could be awarded the AFCON victory, how much more the case Nigeria is pressing
SportsRe: AFCON Final Result Overturned By CAF, Morrocco Announced As AFCON 2025 Winners! by Focusmind: 6:36am On Mar 18
They should have been penalised on the pitch. Worst things had happened on the pitch in the past and referee's decision taken as final decision. Immediately the Senegalese team stopped playing, the referee should have awarded the match to Morocco and ended the match. Just that Africa referees lacks the guts needed to discipline players and teams on the pitch. Nonsense should not be tolerated on the pitch of football
PoliticsRe: Eid-El-Fitr: FG Declares Thursday, Friday Public Holidays by Focusmind: 7:19pm On Mar 17
Why Thursday and Friday? They should do Friday and Monday. FG, sef. undecided

FamilyRe: Stop Marrying Broke Women, Pastor Okonkwo Tells Men by Focusmind: 2:06pm On Mar 16
These are the kind of people that deceive lots of men, that would later find themselves with the so called working class ladies, without any peace of mind in the marriage.

Dear men, there is nothing wrong with marrying a young lady that has no hand work or has nothing doing, as long as you love the person and she is ok. It is within your responsibility to mold her and help her grow as the head of hom

It is more loving when your wife becomes somebody through your effort than getting her "already made", financially.

My wife was far younger than me, just finished defense of her undergraduate project before we married.

Today, she is doing well, career wise and supporting the family.

Some that married the so-called bankers and those with hand work could not salvage their marriages.

Don't make your decisions based solely on whether the woman is working or not.

Base your decision on future prospects and good qualitieis
Does she has the potential?

Can she develop herself if given the oppportunity?
PoliticsRe: UK Unveils Programme For Tinubu’s State Visit by Focusmind: 1:57pm On Mar 16

Fear British royal family - they did not even want Tinubu to sit close
SportsRe: FIFA Sanctions Nigeria, DR Congo Over World Cup Play-Off Incidents by Focusmind: 1:53pm On Mar 16
FIFA should hammer DR CONGO the sanction, fast, fast

They have accepted their infringement by dropping the players in question.

Nigeria has a case just that FIFA is concerned about the repercusion

If FIFA should allow DR CONCO to play the play off, then, it is over for Nigeria.

The verdict has to come before the play off.
Foreign AffairsRe: U.K, France, Japan, Australia, Reject Trump's Plea For Military Help In Iran by Focusmind: 11:30am On Mar 16
He should call the Nigeria's 101 Amphibious regiment, Bonny, to move our fleet of aircraft carriers and supersonic planes to that Straight, abi na bend . undecided

PoliticsRe: Jimoh Ibrahim: Examination Of Nigeria's Rep To The UN In Broad Daylight by Focusmind: 10:00am On Mar 16
I wonder why BAT could appoint someone like this guy as Nigeria's UN Permanent representative, when we have array of seasoned diplomats and technocrats.

There are other positions he could have given Jimoh if he had wanted to bring him into his government.
CrimeRe: US Court Sentences Nigerian To Eight Years For $1.3 Million Tax Fraud Scheme by Focusmind: 9:26am On Mar 16
Nigeria would not order you to pay anything.

Go to jail and come out and enjoy your loot or pay something and enter plea bargain

If it is only to go to jail, people would gladly commit financial fraud, dupe banks and government and go to jail, serve their terms and come out to enjoy the proceeds of their frauds.
Christianity EtcRe: When Floods Can't Stop You From Worshipping God (photo) by Focusmind: 7:05pm On Mar 15
This kind thing cannot happen in the western world. Only third world countries. I am sure that country in that picture is Philippines. They are staunch Catholics
HealthRe: Hospital Blackout In Suleja: Staff Use Phone Flashlights To Treat Patient(photos by Focusmind: 6:52pm On Mar 15
I have experienced this in a private hospital, when I came early in the morning to take my injection before going to work. There was no light and the nurse had to use her phone light to do vital checks and gave me the injection. You can't fully quantify the havoc inadequate electricity has done and it is still doing to all the fabrics of the Nigeria's society
EducationRe: Tolu Schools Sport Complex In Ajeromi-Ifelodun LGA Lagos by Focusmind: 5:59pm On Mar 14
My concern is the mentality of the would- be- users of the facility. Most students in public secondary schools are simply irresponsible, reckless, and have one peculiar way of behaving, which is a fallout of the kind of homes they came from.
SportsRe: Bahrain And Saudi Arabia Grands Prix To Be Cancelled by Focusmind: 9:29pm On Mar 13

PoliticsRe: Obi Denies Trying To Hire Bwala In 2023 by Focusmind: 7:22pm On Mar 13
Bwala knew that once he dragged Obi into his current predicament, he would shift the conversation in the eyes of the public, especially, among the supporters of the govt, as Obi had become an issue in the Nigeria's body politics. undecided.

Government supporters would jump in and take it from there to continue the "Obiphobia".

PoliticsRe: Ahead Of State Visit, King Charles Hosts Event For Nigerians In The UK by Focusmind: 8:46am On Mar 13
KBlackLegal:
They still require English Proficiency Test from us despite being educated using English language and the years of colonization where we interacted together.
IELTS still remit huge percentage of their fees to the coffers of His Majesty Revenue and Customs. The British and Anglophone World have set up "sustainable" ways of using their institutions and entities, to milk countries around the world, especially, from developing countries. Windsor Castle can't just roll out the carpets, if there is/are no beneficial interests in the visit of any head of state. Britain is a very cost conscious country and they don't spend anyhow if they don't forsee any future benefits.
SportsRe: Victor Osimhen In Tears As Galatasaray Fans Unveil Banner Of His Late Mother by Focusmind:
I think, it is always better to stay where you are loved and appreciated rather than where you are just tolerated.

This had played out in my life as a corporate working class guy and to many other people as well

Sometimes, you have to switch to organization where your skills, competence, charisma and personality are celebrated , even though, the pay may be less than to be where you are just seen as a number and not appreciated, even though the pay may be better.

Always consider your overall mental health and work-life balance. It is not only about the take-home pay. It boils down to self-fulfillment, contentment and happiness, even if the money is not flowing well.
PoliticsRe: My Interview With Al Jazeera Was Doctored – Daniel Bwala by Focusmind: 8:06pm On Mar 10

PropertiesRe: Cement Sells ₦11,500 - ₦15,000 Per Bag, Sparks Concerns In Construction Industry by Focusmind: 10:22am On Mar 09
This thing is bad - we are about to do some renovation and prices have all gone up.

Some traders are quoting N13k for Dangote, when we budgeted N11800

Same with iron rods and other construction materials.

Plaster boards and POP are something else.
PoliticsRe: Bwala: Friends Worldwide Call To Express Pity For Nigeria — Moghalu by Focusmind: 9:16am On Mar 09

EducationRe: MaryJane Okonkwo, Command Secondary School Iyana Ipaja Student Beaten By Bursar by Focusmind: 7:59pm On Mar 05
Sadists everywhere. Imagine the joy in him as he was flogging the girl. The man no rate her parents. That's why. He should be fished out and banned from school environment. That's how child abusers are punished abroad. He shouldn't go near school or seen near children and adolescents.
