Health / Re: JAPA: No More Leave Of Absence For Health Workers Relocating Abroad – FG by Focusmind: 3:14pm On Mar 10
Nice one!

If you want to go abroad and work, resign and go so that your position would be declared vacant. Its greediness to keep up your position while you are in another country working, and some people in Nigeria are looking for job. You see this kind of thing in the public civil service. In private sector, once you japa, your position is filled immediately . Sometimes, it's even filled before your one month notice expires as you are supposed to put through the new person on how to do the job.

E be like say Soludo and poor quality work, na 5 &6. I don't understand why they construct roads in Nigeria without a hard-core underlayer before pouring the black coaltar. They will just grade roads and starts pouring the black coal tar on top to be washed off by next year.

That doesn't look like what a white man would write , they don't converse that way.

My respect to you. I like people with discerning mind and IQ. It's rare to see a typical white person converse in that kind of language. People are just creating content to drive traffic. You made a point most people did not notice.

Even though, it is a starting point, but this is not what I expected. Nigerian Airlines still lacks capacity, despite many years of flying. UK gave the approval on condition that Airpeace would have to use an acceptable Airlines. Airpeace will be getting less than 50% of profit in that route while the rest goes to Norse.

The business centre wey UK and Canada opened on top immigration ehh, na only God go forgive them. Asking someone that has known English language all through his life for evidence of proficiency in English. Yet, you will struggle to hear and understand the English some of the locals from these countries speak. At worst case, no need asking people to rewrite the IELTS exam they have taken to ascertain their proficiency. Its all about money and glaring rip off.

The man just allowed himself to be killed. Someone that was in Germany, chilling after recuperating from an illness. He said, he wanted to return to Russia, despite warnings from the EU not to go. But the privilege of answering opposition leader was too exciting and he wanted to continue to receive Western funding. He got arrested at the airport on his arrival and that's the end now. He seemed to be enjoying the press coverage and his status as the only opposition to Putin. He could still have played opposition leader while in exile in Germany than returning to Russia.

Government contractors are nothing to write home about. Go to airport road and see the nonsense pedestrian bridge put there. Why not do simple pedestrian bridge and make it look aesthetic than this zigzag pedestrian bridge they usually construct, wasting scarce resources in the process.
Crime / Re: Mum Let Man Sleep In Her Teenage Daughter’s Bed And Perform Sex Acts On Her by Focusmind: 5:24am On Feb 29
The mum will tell the court that the daughter was suffering from one kind strange illness or disorder, which sex and cannabis, could help relieve her symptoms. She may even support it with incontrovertible evidence. Let me shock you: A librarian in my school then in UK, whom I was so closed to, as I regularly came to the library, once asked if I could sleep with her 29 year old daughter, who has been on wheelchair since she was six. That sometimes, the daughter felt the urge to have sex, which she haven't had since she was born.

I blame the insiders that leaked the initial letter. If that letter was not leaked, people would not have known what happened. Certain officials things should be kept secret in case of any unforeseen circumstances. Who was the insider within the Ministry of Foreign affairs that leaked the letter? He should be fished out.

Enroll her in one of these Nigerian Navy Secondary School across the nation. No be person go advice her. They have her type coming from the US and UK every year to collect proper orientation , If you enroll her in that school , give her 3 yrs you'll have a brand new daughter. cheesy grin

I wished the OP could see this. I proposed this to a former mentor that moved to US . Both his son and daughter were given the hardworking man a high BP. Finally, we got a senior navy personnel that helped process admission into the Nigerian navy secondary school, Lagos. The son came and enrolled and completely became a changed person that he wanted to proceed to NDA kaduna. Eventually, he joined the US armed forces.

For the daughter, we got her enrolled at the Domican College, Mafoluko, a Catholic run school. The reverend sisters completely changed her. Today, she is a neonatal nurse in Ohio, US. Institutions changes and shapes people's behaviour. Their father spent money to hand them over to disciplinarian in both Nigerian navy school and the Domican College.

OP, the report said that a South African doctor earns 40times more than a Nigerian doctor, not 3 times. The 3 times relates to Kenyan doctors.

The devaluation of our currency have eroded people's net-worth. I just bought a cartoon of chicken indomie today for 10500 in mainland, Lagos.

The corrupt politicians and their associates will take huge chunk of the money to the black and white markets to buy dollars. You keep wondering whats happening to naira. You can only push the naira that you have sold to the market and received dollars in exchange.

This has been the known truth. Politicians as a whole, are the major problems of Nigeria. They control huge sums of naira and usually offload them to get USD, thus compounding the problems of the local currency.

Touching a Woman without her consent amounts to sexual assault, you would think most footballers would know that by now.

The punishment is harsh, considering the fact that the Victim is going to be compensated.

He is not white. He is from third world country. See cash out for the victim? These sports men have women, waiting to be theirs but they will rather go for those that will nail them. I hope he doesn't commit suicide why in prison.

Business / Re: How Are You Cutting Cost This Period? by Focusmind: 7:03am On Feb 22
The best area to cut cost with great savings is in your children's school. Check if you could do with a nearby school, where you don't have to be paying expensive school bus and other sundry expenses. Schools now have equalized themselves as technologies and uniformity of curricular have made standards to be uniform. A smart child will always be a smart child. Don't kill yourself insisting on retaining your kids on a 3ook per term school instead of 100k per term school. Peoples kids have gone to schools of 70k per term and came out better than those that went to 5ook per term. If you have the money, no problem - but don't do pass your power if you don't have or struggling to pay.

She is used to an air-conditioned house but now, chilling in a 50C temperarure shithole somewhere in a Nigerian police dungeon without ceiling but only gbam-gbam. By the time she is out, her skin for don turn to the same colour like an expired Amstel malt drink. Wicked savages! The husband should also be arrested for negligence and lack of duty of care to the 11 year old girl. He owed that girl a duty of care and responsibility to raise her in a respectable manner. He should be charged, jointly with the wife to teach some negligent and carefree men a lesson.

Let's leave this election matter and face what is facing us. The truth is, whether Obi or Atiku, this current economic scenario could still have played out. Some people predicted this economic downturn earlier but we didn't listen. The problem is that, the money the political elite stashed away is now being pumped into the economy. The huge volume of naira is chasing dollar as politicians would want to convert the naira to dollar. Obi or Atiku or even Emilokan, none is a Saint.
Politics / Re: 15 Miscreants To Spend 3 Months In Jail For Obstructing Lagos Pedestrian Bridges by Focusmind: 7:07am On Feb 21
This is what you get when a country fails with human capital development of its citizens. All pedestrian bridges and government parks are currently being occupied by destitute, gangs members, weed smokers. I got to Marwa bustop on lekkiphase one and decided to be a good citizen and use the pedestrian bridge. The dreadlocks looking guys, smoking weeds I saw made me to descend down quickly. The particular pedestrian bridge is always deserted, especially in the afternoon. One supposedly olosho, looking so weird, was there vomiting... .only God knew what was worrying her
Politics / Re: Tinubu: We Will Raise $10 Billion To Stabilise Naira, Boost FX Liquidity by Focusmind: 6:18am On Feb 21
To even be making these statements through Shettima makes it to be another political statement. I expected this kind of major intervention to come directly from the president's mouth. Currency devaluation is the major challenge Nigeria is facing now and it is only the president or at worst, the CBN governor, that should be giving statement on what the government is doing to stabilise it.
