PoliticsRe: Rivers Chief Judge Declines To Set Up Panel To Probe Fubara by Focusmind: 1:58pm On Jan 22
As I expected. The house may have to bypass the chief judge and seek that compulsion from a higher court in another state.
TravelRe: Can Someone Help With European Countries With Good Amount Of Jobs by Focusmind: 9:42am On Jan 22
There is no EU country with "good amount of jobs"!

You will struggle to get the white-collar job if you are not among the one percentile extremely talented foreigners

Apart from US, Canada, UK, Ireland, Australia and New Zealand and may be, France and Germany, you will struggle to land a professional job as an immigrant in EU if you are not extremely talented and have the permanent right to stay in that country.

It is not about getting a Ph.D. or studying fancy courses, people that study trade and direct health-related courses have better chances of securing jobs abroad than those with Masters and Ph.D.

Even in Canada, some Nigerians that did masters and Ph.D. are still job hunting while those that did one year certificate or two year diploma program in direct health programs or trades have gotten something.

Be strategic and weigh your options. If you are going to the EU country for studies under a funded scholarship, it is fine. But if you are going to be self-sponsored, please weigh your options and consider again.

Except you will study with the intention of transitioning to those other countries I mentioned. Also note that the right to settlement and stay should also form part of your consideration. Dont waste your money to study in a country where there is no right of stay after studying or where there is a serious language barrier.
PoliticsRe: Lagos Taskforce Raids BRT Corridors, Impounds 28 Vehicles, 14 Okadas by Focusmind: 9:27am On Jan 22
If you are not mentally strong, you wont be able to contain the stress the LASTMA authorities would put you through if your vehicle is impounded.

My experience with them at "Sura" was something else. I dropped off someone before "Falomo" bridge, Ikoyi, without knowing that they were trailing me. They immediately came down from their pick-up vehicle and acted in a commando like-style to impound my vehicle. We moved to "Sura", their station in Island, where the madness started.

If you ever jam a typical LASTMA man with heavy accent and tribal marks, your own don finish, especially if you are not flowing in his own language

Foreign AffairsRe: Gavin Newsom Awards The California Peace Prize To Donald Trump by Focusmind: 10:08am On Jan 21
This Newson guy will be the next flag bearer of the Democrats in the next election

His consistent clap back on Trump no be for here. grin

But Gavin Newson said the truth to the allies - do not cossy up to the bully. Challenge him!

I feel sorry for the NATO secretary general, Rutte and the UK Prime Minister. No balls to challenge Trump

Macron is getting his mojo back - watch and listen the speech by the Canadian PM at the Davos.

Nobel Prizes are not under the Norwegian government. It is under a Trust, set up by the late billionaire, Mr. Nobel.

First time seeing a Bus Admin student as the best graduating student. It has always been engineering. KPMG or PWC will collect the guy sharp sharp. But he should be ready to enroll for his ICAN or ACCA
FamilyRe: Baby Girls Aborted By Indian Parents In UK Due To Preference To Males by Focusmind: 9:53am On Jan 20
India and their caste system undecided

They so much adore the male child - some of the sex-selective abortions in India and even in Nigeria, have the woman as the principal approver of the act - for some women, once they notice that they would potentially birth a girl child, they would opt for abortion.

There is no difference between a male child and a female child - train your female child very well and see her take care of you more than the so-called male children. I love my daughter so much - she cares and could go at any length do things for me - But for my boys, you are on your own.

My daughter would notice my mood and stress and she would ask pertinent questions. If I am taking medications, she would be consistent in asking how my recovery have been. My sons would never ask me, neither would they show concern.

Girl child is bae cool cool cool

If you have them, cherish them.
Foreign AffairsRe: Putin & Russians Dive Into Freezing Rivers To Celebrate Epiphany (Photos) by Focusmind: 6:27pm On Jan 19
Russia is a Conservative Christian enclave. One of the many reasons Trump likes Putin and Russia. Trump said that Russia and other Eastern European countries are the ones holding the real European and Caucasian culture. Wokism has destroyed western Europe and erased the Christian-like culture and values system.

I doubt if he is in good terms with his father, Atiku. His mum may have also estranged from Atiku.
PoliticsRe: Lagos Orders Postmortem As Twins Die After Vaccination by Focusmind: 12:01pm On Jan 18
Kudos to Lagos state government. This would provide further clarity and what led to the deaths of the twins. Autopsy is always important to determine the remote causes of death and prevent future occurrences. We need to know if there was a correlation between the vaccines and the death of the babies.
Foreign AffairsRe: European Leaders React To Trump's Tariffs Over Greenland Dispute by Focusmind:
UK and hypocrisy! Steimer couldn't even use strong words on Trump. Everything to them is about engagements and maintaining the so-called "special relationship". Engagements with someone that doesn't care. He should have said that Europe is ready to defend Greenland at all costs. That would have been more authoritative. Trump's statements did not give room for any ambiguity. He leaves no one in doubt about his intentions. He has said it that he either takes Greenland land through peaceful means or by force. EU should equally said that either they let Greenland go through peaceful negotiations or they hold it by force. The message would have been clearer. I just want to hear one statement from the EU leaders and that statement is: "As a union, we stand in solidarity with the people of Greenland and Denmark and would help to defend any territory of EU at any cost". With this, we know that all options to defend Greenland are on the table.

Amokachi should enroll for an analyst or pundit training program in England. Despite being a support commentator, he was just yabbing rubbish, sometimes. undecided

Those guys from Nigerian info would have done better. Okocha's own is even worse.
HealthRe: Man Seeks Justice As Nine-month-old Lagos Twins Allegedly Die After Immunisation by Focusmind: 11:49am On Jan 17
Sometimes, I see those health workers with aprons, going from houses, schools and churches for immunisations. I never allowed them to administer the vaccines on my kids as I didn't know the state of the vaccines and how they have been preserved. Go to some primary health care centres, they look like abandoned pig farms with dilapidated facilities and outdated storage facilities. It's not just about Lagos, it is nationwide.

Fake story. The story lines sold him out. Some Diaporans are fond of using Nigeria and Nigerians to farm social engagements.
PoliticsRe: I Receive Threats Over Tax Reform Implementation — Taiwo Oyedele by Focusmind: 1:56pm On Jan 15
"Low public trust in government". This has been the bane of Nigeria since independence. Sadly, our leaders are not helping matters.

You cannot be driving exotic cars and be living a life of flamboyancy and expect the poor masses to be patriotic and pay tax.

Fiscal discipline should be enthroned in our government dealings and spending
PoliticsRe: Mbah Unveils Waste Management Fleet, Targets Cleaner, Climate-Friendly State by Focusmind: 7:17am On Jan 14
As Nigeria be now, people no dey shame to dey do low level jobs, as long as they are going to be paid. Gen Zs are now ready to be Street sweepers, police, cleaners and delivery agents. It's good as well since their is dignity in labour. Once there is an advert from government for recruitment, thousands would apply irrespective of how menial the job may be.

SportsRe: AFCON 2025: Morocco Studying Super Eagles With Advanced Video Technology by Focusmind: 8:30pm On Jan 12
Nigeria should soak up pressure and use counter to finish them off.

We have players with tremendous pace - give Morocco a false hope of dominance at the early stages but do not allow them to score.

As Moroccans confidence and momentum starts building, they would be eager to have the ball within the other half of pitch, specifically within the shooting range in our own half.

Then a through ball or a well-laid pass to the upfront attacker would spur the wingers to begins the chase and put the Moroccans on the retun run, with attendant confusion.

Leave o!, I be coach undecided
PoliticsRe: Tinubu’s Supporters Backing Peter Obi For ADC Ticket – Adeyanju by Focusmind: 6:27pm On Jan 12
Obi shouldn't over estimate himself. Obidients thinks that they are the only ones that would vote in this election. Anything aside Atiku/Obi would be a walkover for BAT
HealthRe: Couple Raise Alarm After Buying Fake Hollandia Yoghurt Drink (photos/video) by Focusmind: 6:24am On Jan 12
Always buy your drinks from trusted and well known brands. Some are faking ceeway water now. They are filling the containers in their backyard with untreated borehole water and corking them with water companies' labels like ceeway. I tasted one and knew that this water came straight from borehole and not the normal ceeway water dispenser.

BusinessRe: Excited Man Flaunts Bundle Of Naira After Exchanging 800 Cedis (Photos/Video) by Focusmind: 2:34pm On Jan 10
Stupidity of the highest order. Hatest of government are busy applauding the ignorance being displayed by the skit maker. The purchasing power of that N106k in Nigeria is far higher than the purchasing power of that 800 Ghana cedis in Ghana. Ghanaian are everywhere in Nigeria, working in hotels and informal sector, sending money to their people in Ghana. Nigerian economy is far more buoyant and resilient than that of Ghana.
CelebritiesRe: "Send School Fees For Your Son" — Hellen Ati Calls Out Cubana Chief Priest by Focusmind: 10:46am On Jan 10
Even the woman resemble cubana chief priest. I am sure someone must have told her that her son looks like CP and she's doing everything to enjoy the fame and attention that comes with it. Her son looks like her, and by extension, like CP. I doubt if CP is the father. The woman is just cashing cruise. The boy looks more like her.

huh
Just saying sha....i know some people might think i am crazy for saying this.

I can see her car keys on the table there.

Most Nigerians wont agree with you.

I go to Lagos Island to do certain things - on some occasions, I will drop my key and board buses going to CMS

Whenever there is traffic warning why I am out of home, I find a safe place to park or park in a client's office that I came and board buses or use Uber.

I have come to realize that certain stresses are not worth my life.

I will rather let go of certain things than to get myself worked-up unnecessarily
PoliticsRe: Impeachment: Governor Fubara, his Deputy are threats To Democracy - Amaewhule by Focusmind: 2:23pm On Jan 08
The speaker, Amaehule, is going to take over till the conduct of the elections. This is the reason why they are impeaching both the governor and the deputy. If that sails through, the speaker takes over.
CrimeRe: Boutique Owner In Tears After Thieves Looted Goods Worth Million Of Naira(video) by Focusmind: 10:06am On Jan 08
Many jewelry and boutique retailers suffered greatly during this holiday

Most of them that travelled had their shops looted and burgled.

Phones, laptops, gadgets, jewelries and high-end boutique sellers had their shops burgled by thieves.

Some of the thieves are neighborhood thieves and may have known the shop owners very well.

If you have phone and gadget shops, ensure that the ceiling had protector - I entered one shop and saw how the guy used protector to cover the POP ceiling.

In Nigeria, security comes first - most retailers would spend money in getting the best POP design on their ceiling with different lights colors without considering how safe the entire shop is.

Spend those POP money to put protectors on the ceiling and safeguard your hard-earned goods

PoliticsRe: No Aspirant Is Stepping Down In ADC – Atiku by Focusmind: 8:52pm On Jan 06
APC is doing everything to ensure that Atiku is not the ADC flag bearer. They prefer Peter Obi, knowing fully well that Obi would be defeated in the polls. They are very good and comfortable in attacking Obi than Atiku.
