BondRiv:You may not be totally correct. I have two Nigerians that travelled to USA but struggled for the past 4 years, financially. Immediately they enlisted into the US army and served within stipulated time, their lives have changed. They are doing exceptionally well now. Agreed, there are some risks but if you survived within the period of your enlistment and became a veteran, you have lots of advantages. |
Ok naa! No be Nigeria we dey so ![]() Everything is not by "gra gra" or it must by our own terms. I keep saying this: let Obi go for the primaries. If he wins, fine but If he loses, no problems. If he is asked to pair with the eventual winner, there is nothing wrong with that. Their goal as a political party should be how to win elections and not about individual person's ambition. |
Fubara should calm down o! Tinubu's bet will always be on Wike. Tinubu don't like people that are dull and subservient, politically. He likes them brutish, raw and uncompromising. Wike ticks all the boxes for Tinubu. Tinubu allowed Wike to be in charge of local government for a reason and would give him even greater powers as the build up to the 2027 election gathers momentum |
I am surprised that one folk above compared Nigeria to India. In as much as India is still regarded as a third world country, they have a far higher level of productivity than Nigeria. Their infrastructure is above Nigeria and the quality of their technological advancement is far higher than Nigeria. They may be poverty-stricken, but they are making steady progress in all facet of human development. Their huge population and the terrain of certain parts of their country is hindering overall human capital development. |
Political neophytes!! You mustn't have it your way. In Nigeria's treacherous Political terrain, you have to crawl for people to make way for you at the top. The same happens in corporate world. You have to tow the path for those at the top to make way for you. It's not by "gragra". This was the same way Obi was hyped in 2023, despite standing a good chance to win the presidency with Atiku. His supporters, including Utomi, felt that Obi was invisible. I will continue to say it: Obi's chances to the presidency would have been through Atiku in 2023. His supporters have started again with their "do or die" attitude that it must be Obi or nothing. Obi should not allow some of his supporters to harm his chances of claiming Political power. As they say, power is negotiated and not a birth right. You have to negotiate and wrestle for it. Nobody hand it over to you without a contest. I don't know how Obi and his team are building the necessary contacts to win the primaries, which is the first huddle. If he loses, he should consider teaming up with the winner for the general elections. You don't chicken out because it didn't go your way. Moreover, he has lost considerable level of momentum he had in 2023. He is contesting the presidency against a formidable opponent, with incumbency power under his belt. The odds are already stacked against Obi. His utmost concern should be how his new party will win and not his personal interest. In Nigeria's politics, nobody is a Saint. Not even Obi. Why is Utomi behaving as if Obi has the magic to fix Nigeria? They should be more concerned about the strategy on how to win the general election. |
You see this school own, if you are a struggling guy, please adhere to this advice. Don't listen to your wife if she's not on your side to manage your expenses, except if she is going to contribute. Fraction topics in mathematics in Adeniran primary school is the same fraction in Grenville international British Model School; The Simple Interest and percentages in maths in Ilasa primary school is the same simple interest in Gentle Touch montessori international school. Don't stress yourself on school fees because you want to provide the best for your kids or you want to copy the Adeyemis or the Okoyes. Save yourself unnecessary financial pressure and focus where your reach is. But if you have the capacity, go to any school of your choice. |
There are certain robbery operations that happens in western countries that can never happen here. The sophistication that goes on in the planning and execution could be mind boggling. Despite their high security networks, robbers still beat their systems to cause damage. This kind of dare devil sophisticated robbery cannot happen here. |
Philipok:Is this tyrolean rendering your actual work or lifted from the Internet for marketing purposes? |
I feel sorry for you What are you into? As in, what you currently do Do not tell me you are any of these professions: Office assistant, dispatch rider, hustler, handwork person, low-key freelancer, office driver, uber or bolt driver, tailor, barber, private security or marketer. People in these profession always have issues with women. They can go at great length to please their girl friend why behaving like mugu ![]() |

So sad! May he rest in peace - I saw the voice note and the story on social media and felt so sad! He was already out but went in again to salvage more goods before one side of the building caved in. My people, sometimes, as a man, your life is not worth anything material. There are times you just have to let go just to have your peace and sanity. I remembered during the frequent fire occurrences at the Onitsha main market, at one incident, people were salvaging their goods and the inferno was approaching. My father just looked, sighed and asked all of us, including the "umuboi" to evacuate the place. The "umuboi" were hesitant as they wanted to salvage as much goods as possible, but my dad insisted that everybody should evacuate and not bother with the remaining goods. The raging inferno came and razed down everything, with fatality on people that were still trying to salvage their goods. I believe that with life, more things could come ones way with dint of hard work. On many occasions, i had let things go, huge losses just to move on instead of getting myself stocked on something I could not help Rest in peace, bro! I feel sorry for your wife and your family. |
The Emperor is "holding down " PDP. The same will happen at the presidential elections. There would not be any candidate from the PDP. |
Chelle wan take style bench am, try another keeper. ![]() The two may have agreed on this lamba |
Poor country! ![]() The metrics of measurement of any poor country is the quality of the people on the streets and those living on the margins in the society. |
Chei, bad news for Nigeria UK tabloid would feast on this news - Dailymail has already released it on their front page. By tomorrow, all sorts of innuendos and conjectures would hit the UK news line. AJ should have been discreet with his movement and entrust his movement on well-known security and escort companies. I feel sorry for him and Nigeria, especially, with the attendant bad publicity that it would generate |
There is so much funds in this country - see how a whole FG doled out N30bn cash as if it was nothing. More worrisome is even the comments from Makinde's aide that it was "only N30bn", meaning that the money was nothing to them or may be too small to attract attention. What did they do with the "only N30bn" given to them? I hope the FG and the president would be magnanimous enough to replicate the same gesture to any other state that experiences the same incident in the future. Finally, was the N30bn given as a form of bribery for Makinde to "hold down" PDP for the president? |
We are still waiting for the footage of this strike to assess the extent of impact. I hope Trump didn't just strike an empty place. I need to see the bodies of those terrorists scattered around the epicentre of the strike. If it were to be an Israeli strike, you would have seen the impact and video confirmation of the extent of damage. I give it to mossad |
In as much as the strike is welcomed, this is going to even deepen the conflict. The moslem north are not excited in ending the terrorism, especially, through the cooperation of the US and the fact that a southern president is the one at the helms affairs. They would rather allow the madness to keep festering than letting it go. Some bigots may even see it as an attack on their region and view it as a "Christian-moslem " war. Government should track the preachings at the mosques, starting from today. That's where the brain washing and anti government propaganda sermons starts. |
I hope that the jihadist would not look for the man and finish him off, later. That's their mode of operation, going by what mallam Elrufai said about killing a fulani herder. The man should seek for an asylum in the USA. A good human rights lawyer should locate the farmer and help apply for an asylum for him. E sure me say Canada would grant that immediately. Even trump may consider the man's asylum request and use it to embarrass the government and ramp up the pressure |
If that driver is a family man, I feel sorry for his family because the man is going to stay in prison for minimum of six months. His motor is gone for good. Loosing ones' only source of income in this current Nigeria times could be unnerving. This man has put his family into untold difficult. As a family man, always weigh your actions, as your actions could have unforeseen consequences for your immediate family. His type would come out from prison and become a harden criminal, taking his anger and vengeance on the society. |
Me, na white rice and "ofe-akwu", with goat meat and chicken andfreshly plucked "nchanwu" leaves from the backyard garden. The akwu/banga must be the original one from my village to bring out the real taste and colour of "ofe-akwu"⁹ |
Going by the above comments, comprehension is a very big problem in this country. You see reason why comprehension skills is always tested when writing aptitude tests of banks and other multinational companies. Most people that commented above would struggle to pass such tests. |
Chei, Taiwo fall hand, big time - He should not allow politicians to rubbish his professional career. ![]() I believe that the insertion of that 20% deposit on disputed assessment was done on purpose. FIRS have been looking for ways to make their decisions final and conclusive in any assessment without the opportunity of the tax payer making recourse to the court for adjudication. How can you tell me or my company to deposit 20% of assessment you did on my income, first, before I begin to challenge it? |
Onitsha would have been a lively city, like some of the Asian and middle eastern cities, with its peculiar high rising residential buildings. But government's inefficiency, corruption and citizens' low standards in everything have made the city not to take its pride of place in modern city landscape. In the streets are open gutters, bad roads and dirty environments, far from what a modern city should be. It is not about Onitsha alone, this descriptions are common among most of the Nigerian cities. |
When I first read this story on Facebook, I couldn't hold myself. Lots of things were going on in my head. I just couldn't imagined my own person in that kind of situation. So pathetic!!! |
I don't know how people still have the belief that Tinubu would loose the 2027 general elections. The margin of "victory" would be far higher than what we saw in 2023. |
Politicians and stunts ![]() Even Obi don join them |
So, APC will collapse all their "structures" for Fubara in Rivers State ?? Wike no see this one coming I am sure he is in a dilemma on the next move to make. |
I am surprised at how some people are bashing the NFF. Kudos to them for unearthing this "infringement " on FIFA rules. Trust me, if the odds were against Congo and they have convincing infringement evidence against Nigeria, they will lash on it and push their case. Let our anger not affect our sense of judgement. NFF should pursue the case and see if "victory" would be achieved. |
Whoever gave Dangote the briefs about this Farouk go be a serious guyman. The guy would cash out, big time from Dangote |
SisterAnn:A suicide bomber from Yola poisoned the original Buhari ?So, the one that died this year was the "Jubrin" from Sudan, Sister Ann? |
If actually these were true, some of these highly placed government officials gets their money from the patronage and "allowances" given to them by companies and other corporate organizations they supervise. Top management of Nigerian regulatory space are fond of collecting money and favors from corporate organization as a form of PR. |
