abdkabir: Hello House, I have a quick question, I was issued a us visa(B1/B2) in January 2015 with the purpose of visiting California as a tourist. My trip was planned for March 2015, but I could not make it as my leave from work was not granted, Now I have intention of traveling in July for one month, but my destination is now New York which is contrary to California which I filled in my DS160 form. Will this be a problem at the Port of entry or do I need to email the embassy and notify them of my changed plans? Thanks Was there any annotation on your visa as to your point of destination in the states. |

innovativeame: Do VOs confirm the schools one truly was admitted aside the school on one's I-20? I'm still confused as to why Forlage Visa was delayed I don't think so,cos they have limited time to do such...and how will they even know.though in my case I actually applied to all the schools I mentioned and I was admitted |

[quote author=technolee post=27578069]Got to the embassy @ 6:30am, got screened and I saw an underG boy without experience. I began to interview him. He failed my questions and I wasn't too happy with him. A black lady in window 1 denied all the 5 persons that went to her plus the guy I interviewed myself. It was my turn to go to her and I said loudly that the guy beside me heard that, God, let the spirit of denial melt when I get to her. Who says God doesn't answer prayers? Check the interview below; Congratulations Bro... I tap into your success. |

dotman2460: Good news and not soo good news. One granted while the other was "temporarily" denied......I believe the visa is his and he will claim it the next time.
I and one other NL member went for our visa interview this morning. Mine was granted.
Very short interview.
VO: Good morning sir. ME: Good morning.
VO: What is your purpose of travel? ME: Masters Degree in Computer Science.
Brief pause....
VO: How did you found out about the school? ME: A recommendation from an alumni.
VO: Who will pay for your study? ME: My dad.
VO: What does he do? ME: Works with so and so.
The moment she set aside my passport and returned my other document, I knew God has done it. She then utters those magical words, "Pick up your visa at this address on Monday'.
I turned around, smiled from ear to ear, punched the air and kept on wishing everyone on my way out goodluck, even the ones that were not there for any interview......security guards.
Nothing but God. Congrats Bro. I tap from your success and testimony... |

profojah: Bro ...try understand...I retrieved my ds160 and d new confirmation code isn't showing on my appointment letter(d one showing my interview date and time)..but I tried to update my profile and it was still showing my old confirmation code instd of d new code...so I'm confuse weda to go with both d old and new ds160 and explain to dem what apnd....abi wetin u feel?
If I sud take d new ds160 alone, what about the appointment letter showing the old confirmation code? Bros why not calm down...I had the same issue with yours.Just fill out a new DS-160 and go to feedback on your appointment homepage and make a query stating that you want to change the DS-160 to a new one..You will receive and instant message in your mailbox stating that you should provide some information and upload your passport datapage and both the new and old DS-160 confirmation..Give them some hours and it will be automatically updated.I bet you it won't take a day Don't rush yourself so you won't make mistake... |

Hello house, please help me look into this..I finished high school in 2005 sat for WAEC thereafter took another exam in 2007 (NECO). I was admitted into Lagos State Polytechnic in 2009 and I had an ND in computer science. Which I finished in 2011.Did my compulsory IT in 2012 and got my letter of completion in 2013 due to some school internal wahala coupled with ASUP vs FG strike..I applied as a transfer student for undergraduate to study computer science to 3 schools in USA and one in cyprus.I was accepted by 2 in USA and the one in cyprus..I have my I-20 already from UCO and I was given a 1000USD funds inform of a scholarship from school based on my academic perfomance(3.10/5). SAT/TOEFL were both waived and a letter of exemption has been issued to this effect.Though I wrote the TOEFL exam in 2010 and I have result in the form of a certificate with me.I have scheduled an interview appointment already. Please what is my chance. What other things do I need to put in other. Suggestions and Opinions Please. |

justwise: @Folarge06
Sorry i have to hid your long post.
Nobody should be given Q&A for US student visa interview, people should prepare and ask questions according to their individual situations. Many end up memorizing these guidelines and when asked a question they gave the memorized one rather than the actual answer. @ baba Justwise... all correct |

opad: Friends, October 31 is deadline for many universities for spring which I intend enrolling for Master's. Most require WES transcript evaluation which I've been processing for about 3 months now, you know how our uni's are. I learnt it would be ready next week, then I'll despatch to DHL straight to WES. Considering the processing times of contacting my Uni etc, October 31 might not be feasible I fear. I currently have a copy of the transcript addressed to Unilag. Are there Grad schools that accept Scanned transcript addressed to other institution just to get admission. I emailed one of my univ of choice and requested a WES transcript. Kindly provide any university that accepts scanned ones just for admittance before issuing the I-20 letter. Thanks. you can try UCO...they accept scanned copies.but you just have to be fast about it.Considering the deadline date. |

Hello House,I'm 26yrs applying as an undergraduate, though I have a ND certicate and applied as a transfer student to 3universities and a college.I was accepted by 2uni and a college also which I have there I-20s already. One of the universities gave me a 2000dollars fund based on my academic performance. I was exempted from SAT and TOEFL which was clearly stated on my I-20 dat "The student has the required english proficiency" I have a TOEFL result certifcate which I wrote in 2011. My question is, can I go to the embassy with the 2011 TOEFL result certifcate. On my I-20s it states Family fund as sponsor, can I go to the embassy with my dad's company acct statement with his CAC,Tax Clearance and a sponsorship letter. Please what is my chance... Suggestions are needed. |
