I don't think any woman should hurl insults at her MIL. She should let her husband handle it. It even puts the husband in a difficult position.

I had an issue with my MIL when she came around. She did something that brought tears to my eyes. I was really pained. My husband wanted to confront her about it because he saw that she was wrong. But I told him to let it go.

If MILs could treat their DILs as their daughters and not try to compete, marriages would be better. And the DIL too has to be accomodating.
