We never learn, I don't believe people are saying we don't need a proper number 9. Barely few months ago we were scrambling for (Josh King, Ighalo, etc ) on transfer deadline day. If we want to be the force to reckon with again, we can't rely on Rashford, Martial,Ighalo and Greenwood to lead the line and take us back to glory days.

We have to sign a proper striker and Harry Kane is the final piece of that jigsaw. He is a fox in the box, can shoot from distance, threat from setplay, good hold up play, good on the counter, good first touch, quick on the half turn, and he his a proper goal scorer that takes is chances.

Games this days are decided on small margin, players like Harry Kane, Salah, Mane, Aguero etc can win games for you on their own. You want us to rely on indomie Martial that blew hot and cold all season because of his recent form?

Let me stop fantasizing, I know Daniel Levy and Mourinho will not sanction the sale of Harry Kane to Manchester united. If he becomes truly available ,we have to go for him. He would have rested enough now and recover from his injuries during this pandemic. His batteries would have been recharged and ready to go. He his at the peak of his career now, matured with enough experience to lead the line for club like Manchester united.

This was a MUST win game. I am glad we got 3 points at the end. We are back in contention again for Top 4 finish.

Martial has been useless, I will play Ighalo as Number 9 now without a blink of an eye. Martial is Left forward player, not a central striker.

Luke shaw positioning is so poor, all their dangerous attack have been coming from that flank. Fred has been covering for Shaw, he his so scared to confront Traore, and always jogging backward to position.

Perreira looks nervous and not offering anything. I can't wait for players to come back from injury and suspension so that he can return to the bench.

Yes, he his more suited to withstand Traore. Luke Shaw cannot track back to save his life, and can't block crosses.

I have been crying for the board to sign a different kind of striker to compliment what we have before. We lacked a bit of physicality upfront. Now, they have gone on to get Ighalo on loan which is not a bad idea.

Ighalo is no slouch, he can get into battles with defenders, he can win the 1st and 2nd balls, he can be a proper target man for the wingers, a threat in set play. To me, it is a win win situation for us. We can play in a different way now, when the going gets tough, just send the ball to the big man upfront.

There were quite a lot of big clubs( Barca, Inter, Spurs, Chelsea, Man United, Athletico Madrid etc) looking for a striker this window, it is not easy bringing in quality players in January window. There is always dearth of elite strikers available at this time of the season. I am happy that we are bringing in someone to help atleast.

Lol, so, our players are inept? Hehe, in a bid to absolve OGS, you have decided to say that our players are inept. Meanwhile, I didn't say OGS cannot bring out the best out of Bruno. But then, who cares sef? if he likes, he should not bring out the best in him, his sack letter is waiting for him. He has spent over 200m now o, six months into the job, let us see what happens by the end of the season.

Meanwhile, Pogba had a position at Juventus and has one with the French national team. Mou enjoyed having Pogba until the very last minute (last few weeks of his time at Utd). Pogba was a key member of the team that came second in the league and won some trophies for Mou at UTD. So, stop the sentimental stuff, and be honest when making your points.

Finally, I am curious, how come we don't see you when we lose games, only for you to start praising OGS after beating Tranmere 6:0. You no dey suffer with us after defeats, but you dey enjoy the victories with us. Why now?

Pep Guardiola Spent £450 million in 18 months to overhaul that Manchester city squad after finishing trophyless in his first season. And that was when players value were still cheap and market was not that inflated. If it was now he would have spent £800 Milllion pounds to get the same quality of players at the current market rate. Considering how inflated the market is, I am not sure spending close to £200 Million in 6 Months, bringing in 4 players in different position is bad.

You still haven't answered my question, where is Paul Pogba best Position at MANCHESTER UNITED.

On the bolded, I have answered this before :
I have posted a few times after we lost a game. But, the band boys/rival fans makes it very hard to have a decent conversation after any defeat. Also, the overriding emotion of loosing a football match is so difficult for some people like you to take, all you hear is OLE out and that is tiring for me, instead of analyzing the actual game of football.

Of course, players should start taking responsibilities for their own form, but the manager should not be blamed for simple things like positioning? You OGS fanboys are so funny.

Meanwhile, Pogba is Utd's best player and will easily enter first 11 of any top European club, he doesn't need to prove anything. He doesn't need any player to make him play well, he needs a sensible manager that will play him in the right position.

I guess Fergie played Vidic and Evra out of position when they arrived in the Jan transfer window, he his to be blamed for their abysmal performances when they arrived newly. I am not even sure Ole play players out of position, his 3 signings so far has been played in their appropriate roles. You Anti-Ole fan boys always looking for any little avenue to blame him for players ineptitude. Bruno has not even kicked a ball yet, but you already know that Ole cannot get the best out of him

Where is Paul Pogba best position if i may ask? Licensed coaches like Mourinho and Ole could not unravel that? I am sure he has been played across the whole midfield and No 10 role. Please as an expert in Pogba affairs, I will like to know his best position at Manchester united.

Wether we are going see the best of Bruno this half season doesn't fully depend on OLE. It depends on how fast Bruno is willing to adapt to the pace of the league, his new team mates and his new environment.

If Ole was the one that signed VIDIC and EVRA, i guess he would have been sacked before the end of season by some fans here . Some people are already saying Ole is not the best manager to bring the best out him, when will players start taking responsibilities for their own form?. Till today, we are still looking for a midfield maestro that will bring the best out of Pogba.

That passing from the back yesterday no give you BP? We cannot pass better than City and we should have known that.

And the defence rely so much of offside trap. How long will they keep getting away with narrow escape?

They have to keep doing it until they master the act, I know they will make one or two mistakes along the line. This players needs to be brave with the ball at their feet, not hoofing it away at the slightest opportunity. Besides, we are not going to be playing Manchester city every week. All players should be open to receive passes and be confident on the ball.

Leave those band boys, we will always reciprocate on their threads.

Remember the discussion we had beginning of the season when I said the squad is worse than it was when compared to the one that started the 18/19 season. Do you still disagree?

I like the look of the defense so far which was the area we invested heavily during the summer transfer window and it is far better than that of 18/19 season. The defense is only going to get better with time. Adaptation takes time with some players.

Yes, I still disagree. This squad with the addition of Bruno and the return of key players from injury is better than that of 18/19 season. We are building something here, this squad looks fitter and can actually press from the front and very dangerous on counter attacks compare to the lethargic and unfit display of last season. I also saw them yesterday trying to pass it out from the back rather than hoof it to Fellaini or Lukaku. You could argue that the squad is not big enough to cater for injuries to key players during critical time. With any young squad, you will definitely get inconsistency, but they will all learn and mature real soon.

Should i remind you how Jurgen klopp team finished 8th, 4th , 4th? but they kept at it, now you can all see the reward. Patience is the keyword.

And once he gets the contract extension he’ll go back to being shiite.

You have no idea how these guys strategize.
In football, once you are given a chance to reinvent or prove yourself, you have to take it. Matic has surely taken his chances very well despite his age. Unlike Lingard, Perreira, Jones who has been given several opportunities to fight for their future and they have been piss poor in my opinion, you don't see me clamoring for contract review for these ones.

We lost the tie first half at Old Trafford. I am pretty happy with our performance today, we showed some resilience even though we rode our luck at times today.

Again, just like against Liverpool, Fred was by far the best player on that pitch today, where has this form been? I did not even see KDB today until he was subbed. Like i said earlier, Matic deserves One year contract extension, he has obviously been playing for his future and he has earned it now with his recent performances.

I hope the arrival of Bruno will galvanize that dressing room as we push for Top 4 finish. Please, Ed Woodward we need a striker. GGMU

What we need right now is a nuisance striker that is ready to go into battles/war with defenders, a clinical striker in the mold of prime Drogba, Diego Costa,Suarez etc. Not all these ajebutter #9 striker(Martial) that get easily bullied off the ball by even the slowest of defenders in the premier league. I hope the management team looks into that ASAP.

Martial should start fighting for a spot on the left hand side of attack, when the chips are down, he his nowhere to be found.

They have used the Bruno news to sweep under the carpet the news that the club are in negotiation with Matic to extend his contract.

Classic ED.

What is wrong in extending Matic contract?, from the recent display he deserves 1yr contract extension. He has brought a bit of calmness, composure to that midfield, we still need his experience around.

Manchester city just gave Fernandinho 1yr extension , I don't see any issue giving Matic same. At times, it is not all about running like a headless chicken. We need senior players to mentor the younger ones coming through the rank. He can still win duels and his ball interception is also high.

The problem we have is the movement of the forward players when we are playing against the so-called lesser team. They don't take care of the ball properly, can't dribble between tight space, don't move the ball quickly enough between them and don't stretch the pitch enough.

We just huffed and puffed at the end. No real quality from the striking department today. Fred was by far the best player on that pitch today.

Immediately Rashford got injured, i knew our chances of getting any positive result today was limited. This kind of games suits Rashford very well.

We need a proper 9, the ball kept bouncing off Martial and he his not imposing enough and too carefree with his chances. The only positive is that Chelsea didn't win yesterday. We move on!
