Letter to Mr. President as he Visits Akwa Ibom Today....

(1)Hello Mr. President, I want to Welcome you to Akwa "Abasi" Ibom State the only State in Nigeria named after God... And the Dtate you refused to create when opportunity beckoned on you in 1983.... Mr. President, our history is that of struggle, even before we have this State you are visiting, it was not easy for us.
This State was created on the 23rd of September 1987 by the then Military Administration of General Ibrahim Badamosi Babangida, the same day your own State Katsina was created.

(2)Mr. President, the People of Akwa Ibom State would have celebrated in 1983 when President Shehu Shagari initiated a move for the creation of 30 additional states through the machinery of the National Assembly; the move was scuttled by you following your 1983 military intervention which also scuttled our democratically elected government.

(3)After the collapse of the 2nd Republic in 1983, a memorandum demanding the creation of Akwa Ibom State was submitted to you sir, at your first Missionary Journey by the Paramount Rulers from the 10 Local Government areas that made up the mainland part of the then Cross River State, for reasons best known to you, you declined our request and a golden opportunity of having your name printed in gold in the history of our existence.

(4)God granted our wish and the wish of your state (Katsina) when General Babangida forcefully took over from you and created additional 11 states to add up to General Gowon's 12, General Buhari's 0 States and General Murtala Mohammed 7 States to make it 30 States, preceeding the Final creation of 6 States by your former boss (General Abacha).

(5)Mr. President, the Akwa Ibom People were deeply hurt as you did not give us the state you are visiting..

(6)When you transformed from General Buhari to President Buhari in 2015, we did not expect much from you and you did not proof us wrong.

(7)After your election, we did not hear from you, see you or any member of your family in Akwa Ibom State throughout your tenure, you only re-surfaced on 28th December 2018 when your party picked Akwa Ibom to flag-off your campaign for re-election.

(You went ahead to win the election for yourself even as the whole nation seems to be in a state of solitude, anguish and despair.

(9)During the elections which you won controversially, there were pockets of violence and wanton lost of lives, and after the elections, Fulani herdsmen have tested the microphone in Sokoto, Kaduna and Yobe... I don't know if that is celebration of victory or to produce corpses for the nation that was in mourning to perform interment since they decided to mourn as if someone died.

(10)Mr. President There was a mild drama on 14 December 2018 at the Victor Attah’s International Airport, When, your wife Aisha paid her first official visit to the State almost at the same time you were seeking re-election.

(11)Your first Project for the state came through your Vice, Professor Yemi Osinbajo on the eve of re-election as he was found sharing 10k for some market women

(12)Mr. President we heard you when you said you will congratulate yourself after the elections, that means you already knew before elections that you were going to win.

(13)I was told by a friend that your visit to Akwa Ibom is to tell us "Thank you" .

(14)Akwa Ibom People did not vote for you, we voted for Atiku Abubakar and the PDP and you already know that, even if you did not have any vote from us, you would have still won the elections, but the electoral umpire knows how they allotted those votes to you.

(15)Lastly, Mr President, if this your visit is to skew the will of the people on the 9th of March 2019, we implore you to look at our history, that this state was created without your permission and have been doing well without you...
At this time of decision making, we don't need a President, we need a God whose our State is name after , we need the ......God of Creation to direct our noble cause, guide our leaders right, and teach our youths that truth to know....

Last last, we shall survive this your tenure sir.

The illiterate few determines the destiny of the country.
Abuja is the microcosm of the country. It is filled with many educated people from all the parts of the country. They chose wisely.

Apart from Lagos and a few places where many were prevented from voting, most enlightened people made the right decision for Nigeria,
BUT it didn't count.

In the end, the backward, illiterate and uninformed people (whether rigged or not, you rig in the area where your candidate is popular) determined the destiny of the country.

I am making this prophetic declaration for me and my family:

Dear Lord, I made the right choice, I declare that neither me nor my family shall bear the negative consequences of the re-election of Buhari. Let those that re-elected him bear the cross while we that rejected backwardness soar in victory and prosperity.

Let everyman bear the consequences of the choice he made in this election, In the Mighty Name of Jesus Christ.
