Please come with clean picture of this building and stop using all these beauty snap shot.

Yes some structures that house the elite in unn is good but in terms of those that house The masses, it's totally a disgrace.

Thank you brother for coming to the rescue.

The major problem with UNN is putting up large projects at once thereby leaving them uncomplicated at the long run. If UNN had completed most of her projects like the Mariam Babangida Amphitheater, Sports complex (Games village) infrastructure, New Post Graduate Complex, the administrative building at UNEC, the proposed Senate building and so many other buildings left unattended to, then it will amongst the top varsities with infrastructure.

When it comes to planning and layouts, the campus is well executed but since after the Civil War the school has been lacking in infrastructure but hurriedly putting up so many projects to catch up is trudging her pace to development.

The only good place in UNN is department of pharmacy, PG HOSTEL, ECONOMIC DEPARTMENT AND GS BUILDING (MANAGEABLE)

I am currently in 200L in UNN and I will tell you that the school have nothing to offer in terms of infrastructure.

If u think otherwise, just take a walk around all the boys hostel down to Franco and u will be ashamed.

I leaved in hostel in my first year and I will never forget such experience in my lifetime.

Ask anybody that is currently in first year in the department of MED SURG on how their lectures is organize .

Trust me, I see nothing good in UNN now. We are just leaving on the euphoria of past glory.

Lecture time is horrible with almost 1k student with only 2 ceiling fan working in the hall.

I really don't know anything about UNEC but in terms of Nsukka campus that I am, I will tell u that I don't see anything good about UNN.

Some think that we have WIFI (wifi that is slower than 2g network)

WOW! I didn't expect this from South eastern, believe u me I'm far from the tribalistic person i portray myself here, sometimes is just to troll, but most is sarcasm. My director is an Igbo man, and we recommended it to the Council. I believe bridge building and true federalism is the answer. The average Igbo man wants to enjoy life to the fullest, not a bad thing. But Nigerian government is the problem. We talk about fraud and we tag igbos, we talk about ritualist we tag the Yoruba. Almajiris we tag the North. What all have in common is poverty and lack of good environment and government, one to prosper. If Nigerian Government give us good environment and security to prosper, no one will even think of breaking out of nigeria. The south are not happy with the North, because they see most of the answer to our problems, can be tackle by the northerners. Like protesting against bad governance, education and stoping this Almajiri system. Believe u me the young northerners are different from the old ones, especially the educated ones. (Don't mind my grammatical errors) The politicians use tribalism and religious beliefs to their advantage but 90% of northeners regretted voting Buhari, because they con us into believing GEJ is supporting Boko Haram and Buhari will defeat Boko Haram, pure scam by the white people. For me I still believe the white people and the Arabs have hands in Nigeria's problems.

Thank God for your life

First, if we are to hold all politicians to all their promises as exactly as they promised them, then no one will be able to rule. I remember Trump saying that on the first day in office he will have Trumpcare to replace Obama Care. Right now, he doesn't even talk about it.

Secondly, Buhari has made it the govt priority to diversify the economy by promoting agriculture and farming. Diversification of any economy takes years and probably more than one govt in power. It takes a continuing efforts, it does not happen over night.
All the feel good stories you hear about Malaysia, Indonesia, China, and other Asian countries took many many years of persistent and consistent effort at diversification and modernization of their economies.

I don't know which French President you are referring to but my memory tells me that the last 2 lost via elections including Zarkosky ad Hollande.
And when you suggest that Buhari should leave, then you have to ask yourself - leave for who?

Leave for the same people that ruled for 16 years that got us into this mess in the first place? I could understand if you are talking about leaving for people who had performed wonder in the past with good track records. But here we have the stealing is not corruption team waiting to get back in power to siphon what is left in govt covers.

U definitely made some sense but the last thing I don't like doing is talking about Nigeria but I can't help it coz it's my country.

The only thing that will help us grow is accepting that we can not do this task and leaving it for people that can do it.

We had only one courageous president in the name of yaradua. At least for accepting that the election that brought him into office was rigged in his favour and promised to change this in the next election but DEATH took him.

I will also give accolades to MUTTALLA MOHAMMED, though, through what I read about him and GOODLUCK ( only for accepting defite ) he was very weak and not worthy to rule a country like Nigeria.

BUHARI stepping aside doesn't mean that PDP will take it automatically and even they do it doesn't mean that nothing good can come out of them.

Any body that will assume the office of presidency come 2023 will also be criticize if he doesn't perform well and that's why we elected them

NO, go abck and read what I wrote.

Buhari couldn't do it simply because the govt was constraint especially in 2015/2016 when they were basically trying to keep the govt and the country afloat. The logic is very simple, if previous govts were unable to do it when oil was selling for 100 dollars PLUS, how do you expect a govt to do it with oil selling for 28 dollars? It flies on the face of logic, it's simply not possible. It's wishful thinking and nothing more.

If I am to go back & read your comment then I think you should go back and read BUHARI's MANIFESTOS on how he plan to diversify our economy which made a lot of people to cast their hope on him.

Don't misunderstand me coz am not a member of any political party but I will like to stand with the truth.
The formal FRENCE president ruled for only one term and Called it a quiet coz he understood that he lack the charisma to take the French people to the next level.

Rubbish voodoo economic theory.

You are asking Buhari to do something that previous govts were not able to do even when oil was selling for more than 100 dollars per barrel.

So BUHARI should fail us just bc his predecesor failed.

Neef2018:
I am fully based in Dubai and even despite been a church boy, I think the Islamic banking system needs to be accepted globally.
Or better still, maybe our pastors can fear God and use their billions to create something better than this...which I totally DOUBT
Nearly all the projects excuted in Dubai came from money borrowed from ADIB, RAK, and the Islamic development bank.
These banks don't charge interest! They only partner with you and collect their money back while maintaining about 1-10% of the ownership of the business depending on how much loan you want. THIS MEANS, they will ONLY borrow you money if your business is feasible and they can benefit on the long run from part of the profit you make for a limited amount of time.
My father has a business in Eleme, and he's paying an interest of 25% to a microfinance bank! This microfinance is owned by one of the strong church leaders he attends oh!
Simply because of covid19, his account is now showing debit, because he couldn't pay...I mean, this bank owned by a Christain didnt even care that my father's business was shut down, they kept texting, calling and even visited him at home. They have been eyeing his Pathfinder Jeep, and discussing its value right there infront of my father. Meaning my father wont be paying 2.5million for the 2 million naira he borrowed, if care is not taken he will have to pay roughly 2.75million or 3million by the end of the year. And he has already paid 1 million before the pandemic! Can you imagine!!! The parasitic banks in Nigeria are destroying the economy by killing small businesses! They prefer giving money out to government and politicians. Anyways, kudos to Umahi for seeing beyond the religious BS. Since the church is ONLY interested in reopening so they can continue doing magic shows and collecting tithes from their members, I think a serious leader won't mind engaging a far more sincere and positive religious institution even if it isnt christain-based.
I think i will open an account with one of this islamic bank sef once im around. I don't give a damn what any Christain thinks or say about Islamic banking, it is the most humane financial institution in the world!
Am glad reading ur comment.
The day we treat business as business the better for us.
Am a CHRISTIAN but one of the main problem facing the so called CHRISTIAN is that we go to church to look at our PASTORS Which should not be.

Do you Know that lending people money with interest that will not be used for business is a SIN. Though I can't quote were you can find this in the old testament.

My point here is that the day we learn to behave in a human way and not attach any thing that will hurt our neighbors that doesn't subscribe to our religion the better for us.

We only have two religion in the world HUMANITY & EVIL.

I like your SPIRIT

Very soon you will start telling us why buhari is the same or better than Trump or why Nigeria is better than America.

This is how you promote unserious leaders or mediocres and you keep your country at the back when you will not tell your leaders the truth.

How can anybody with a proper education compare leaders that are constantly engaging their citizens looking for solution to problems to one who sits in the govt house not directly engaging or speaking to his citizens, not granting interviews except sending out recorded messages periodically? As it is no one is even sure of his mental alertness, except some of you who may be benefitting from his vegetable condition.

I just hope you did not only pass through school, I hope school also passed through you

Oga slow down cus u are running too fast

First to clear the air on what you think about me, I have never and will never promote BUHARI. Well u may say that I hate him so much bc am IGBO but am not part of those that promote tribalism hear in nairaland

My only problem with even some of my friends is the way they see SOUTH AFRICA as a country that of the same standered with country like Germany and the rest.

SOUTH AFRICA do have a successful business man as their president but trust me, am yet to see the translation of him success in business to his administration. If you trade in FOREX MARKET and you follow the performance of South Africa rands, u will have a better picture of what am talking about.

To support my claim: the country is currently in RECESSION under the care of Ramaphosa.

Though I must comment that it was bad of me to put BUHARI & RAMAPHOSA in the same PAGE. But S. A. President is not really the man that will bring South Africa to what we all hitherto know about them.
