Politics › Re: Alleged Lekki Massacre: More Than 24 Hours Later, No Evidence Of a Single Death by forgiveness: 9:15am On Oct 22, 2020
FriendNG:
The Lekki killings is nothing but media war. Even foreign celebrities and media have been caught in this trap, reporting what they have no knowledge on.

It has been more than 24hrs and yet no evidence of death recorded and neither a missing person.
I would like to ask a question.

Was live bullets fired directly at the protesters in Lekki?
Politics › Re: Yorubas Should Think Again by forgiveness: 9:05am On Oct 22, 2020
proxillin:
Now they want YORUBA to RONU...

They are asking why TV stations like AIT, Channels, Arise TV and STV were not attacked.
They are saying TVC was attacked because it is owned by a Yoruba man.
What a stupid narrative.

Like I have maintained, I don't support destruction of properties and I am also against killing of defenceless Nigerians.
However, instead of this nonsensical ethnic sentiments they are trying to whip up, methinks these people should rather blame those soldiers who went to Lekki to shoot at protesters and those who sent them.

They should blame those who switched off the light and CCTV cameras at Lekki Toll Gate before the soldiers carried out that barbaric act.
They should show empathy for the loss of lives and consider the injured who are still in the hospital.
They should face reality and accept the fact that TVC was not attacked because it is owned by a Yoruba man.
Apart from TVC, there are other major TV stations in Lagos owned by Yoruba persons.
Like AIT, Channels, Arise TV and STV, these other stations are on DSTV and are doing well. Why were they not attacked too?
1. MITV is owned by Muri Gbadeyanka.
2. Galaxy TV is owned by Steve Ojo.
3. Plus TV is owned by Kayode Akintemi.
3. ONTV is owned by Tajudeen Adepetu

Were all these stations attacked?
Yesterday too, The Nation newspaper was attacked.
Why were PUNCH and TRIBUNE offices not attacked? Or Punch and Tribune are not owned by Yoruba persons again?
Methinks those who have incurred the anger of the people should rather admit and seek forgiveness instead of whipping up ethnic sentiments that will cause further problems.
That your YORUBA RONU narrative won't work this time.
You people did not ask Yoruba to Ronu when your Tinubu was spearheading election rigging against fellow Yoruba sons and daughters in Ekiti and Osun States in 2018.
You did not ask Yoruba to Ronu when in 2011, your Tinubu opted for Tambuwal from Sokoto State as Speaker of the House of Reps instead of Mulikat Adeola Akande from Oyo State.
Asking Yoruba to Ronu now that the personal political interest of your Tinubu is affected is a waste of time because as for me and my family, we are not interested in your political YORUBA RONU.
My name is Lere Olayinka and I'm here on top of Oke Agbonna in Okemesi Ekiti, having a very important meeting with the Irunmales. You can come and join me if you wish
Stop wasting your time.

Nothing like Yoruba Ronu. It starts and ends on Nairaland.

Until these two questions are answered, the anger ignited as the result of Lekki incidents will not be pacified.

Who ordered the removal of CCTVs at Lekki toll gate hours before the incident?

Who ordered the street lights at Lekki toll gate be switched off few minutes before the sad incident?

These two questions are on the lips of every Lagosian in Lagos. The reason they attack those whom they entrusted to protected them.

But I don't support vandalism.

Ps: I am only giving my personal opinion after personally analysing things on ground. Thank you

agreed with all you've said
but the present day govt needs to take responsibility for this genocide ( a crime against humanity)....but it saddens my earth that Govt are not taking responsibility and some certain tribes are siding this obviously coz they don't wanna leave the helm of affairs what good is it when your own people are even killed thats myopic prepositions the Northerners need to call buhari into order coz i cant just imagine despite the massacre that happened my president is still silent this shit has turn to war in Fagba right now People are getting killed every moment it has turned to a tribal war the northerners ain't helping this, the emir of kano is with Buhari throughout the night probably showing solidarity and support for what he has been doing this fight shouldn't be regionalized we're fighting for the whole country not yoruba and Igbo thing alone.
Exactly my point.

That's the prayer and hope. I can't and won't forget June 12 at least I was old enough to see all that happened. The change happened but then we landed in abachas hand. I pray that this time, Nigeria would finally be free or sometime soon.
This has left a scar in the youths and affected Nigerian's heart.

Definitely and hopefully something will come out from this.

After my experience in edo state
I regret canvassing for #endsars
This is no longer a protest,is turning to anarchy
Youth who are suppose to protect the masses are now swindling them ,collecting 2000 Naira per vehicle, people who depend on daily pay is now underfed,
Burning of tyres on the road with distance of 2-3km from each burning point
Burning of police stations
The issue of prison break is an inside job
But from today
Edo protest is not What we need
Seriously I regret
Yesterday, a man offered the protesters money to allow him pass but they refused to collect it and ordered in to turn back. In amazement, he opened his mouth, turned off his engine, came out and jumped excitedly chatting endsars.

He couldn't believe his eyes.

He was just embrassing the boys excitedly.

Early, one of the hoodlum that joined the protesters demanded for money from a motorist, he was rebutted and rebuked seriously.

This happened in Ikeja.

Are you for real right now? Prison warden opened the prison gates, Police set police station ablaze

Not everyone is that gullible
We can't believe both accounts until we see proofs in regards to Lagos but for Benin, I don't believe protesters freed the prisoners until I see them break the gate in a video.

I have also not affirmed warden opened the gate but I still smell foul play.

Your prove is all over the news and on YouTube, whatever decision you have come to is one birthed from your thoughts nothing more.

Prison wardens also destroyed police stations in Lagos

I guess it's easier to blame the government instead of taking responsibility when you're not living in the state
No evidence. From another account, the police men set the police station ablez.

Who is lying? I don't know.

Did you see where I blame the government?

There is no prove yet that protesters broke the gate and freed the prisoners. None as I type.

There is nothing funny about this issue sir

Washington Post, Premium Times, Channels TV, Punch newspaper and other major media outlets carried the headlines of the sort of "Protesters break in Prison Facility" but you're trying to pin this down on the government? When the protesters were literally encouraging the prisoners and the prisoners in turn were thanking the protesters for freeing them!

https://www.washingtonpost.com/world/africa/nigerias-anti-police-protesters-storm-prison-free-inmates/2020/10/19/c7e7f8a2-1224-11eb-a258-614acf2b906d_story.html

I rest my case on this issue
There were two cases.

Those who escaped through the fence and those that escaped through the gate.

1. If the protesters freed them after breaking the gate, why do they still need to escape through the wall?

2. How did they break the iron gate from outside?
