Jonraid: We are a country of less than 50 million. Our population is about 47,615,739
So 23 million means almost a half of all Kenyans are jobless? Is this what you are saying?
At 40%,the figure includes the economically inactive – say, students or women taking care of others at home – it does not signify unemployment. The 40% is a lie! The figure appears to have been deduced from the UNDP’s Human Development Report 2016 that Kenya’s employment-to-population ratio was 60% thus [100% – 60%] = 40% 52 million is Kenya's population. 20 million jobless population is much. The women and youths are taken care of because they are simply JOBLESS. See it very well well.

Jonraid: Kenyan media often reports that the country’s unemployment rate was 39.1% in 2015, citing the UNDP’s Human Development Report 2016. The figure appears to have been deduced from the report’s finding that Kenya’s employment-to-population ratio was 60.9% [100% – 60.9% = 39.1%].
But as the 39.1% includes the economically inactive – say, students or women taking care of others at home – it does not signify unemployment, a labour expert told Africa Check. Read our fact-check for more detail.
https://africacheck.org/factsheets/factsheet-has-kenyas-unemployment-really-dropped-to-7-4/ See the correct figure here. 40% Kenyans are living below $0. That's the koko.

Too much rubbish claims called fact, what is good for d Greek is good for Ugandan. Hahahaha! Those 80.6 million Nigerians are living with $1.9 per day. Unlike, 23 millions of Kenyans living below $0 dollar per day. Please, tell me which is better? |

Jonraid: International Labour Organisation
In 2016, the International Labour Organisation – the UN agency that focuses on labour – estimated Kenya’s unemployment rate to be 11.5%.
To calculate this, it uses a model that takes into account the latest available official data from each country, ILO statistician Yves Perardel told Africa Check.
But Africa Check discovered the calculation was based on an error – Kenya’s official unemployment rate in 2009 was 9.7%, not the 12.17% listed by the ILO.
The ILO acknowledged this, saying the 12.17% it had used was an internal figure that was not double-checked, Perardel said. (Note: The UN agency has since updated the unemployment rate from the 2009 population census in its database.)
Updated estimates – using the latest unemployment data after checking the methodology – will be available in November 2018, Perardel added.
UN Development Programme
Kenyan media often reports that the country’s unemployment rate was 39.1% in 2015, citing the UNDP’s Human Development Report 2016. The figure appears to have been deduced from the report’s finding that Kenya’s employment-to-population ratio was 60.9% [100% – 60.9% = 39.1%].

https://africacheck.org/factsheets/factsheet-has-kenyas-unemployment-really-dropped-to-7-4/ Why are 39.1% Kenyan's women and youths jobless? This map is correct after all. They are all jobless.

Jonraid: It can be the case for Nigeria. It can be! But it isn't and it's hard seeing that happening! Like for us we have reduced the poverty rate, albeit slow but we have reduced it. So that's a plus to us. That's commendable! That's progress! What of Nigeria? What are the poverty numbers saying? Is the situation getting better? No is the answer! This is where you fail! Which is better btw been jobless and poor? Poverty rate simply means those spending below 1 dollar per day but joblessness means no job no pay. As it stands, 40% of Kenyans are jobless and living without a dime.

Jonraid: So a consumer class of 52 million people in a country of about 180-200 million ad 8.7 million in a country of less than 50 million .What's here to celebrate? Look at this map. There's nothing to celebrate in Kenya because 40% of Kenyans are jobless. No wonder you are always high changgi drinking.
