safarigirl: whicj choice is decided?
Tinubu gives Lagos State a governor. Abia State is not given a Governor.
There is no democracy in Lagos. Tinubu is King there, with figureheads he calls Governors. This is the delusion I speak of with Lagosuans At least, people can still decide to reject what Tinubu gives by exercing their franchise through voting but in Abia state, your vote doesn't count. Fat lies, there is democracy in Lagos. Fact |

safarigirl: This is a lie. Non-indigenes are the ones holding key positions in Abuja
Lagos State is the only State aside Abuja where a non-indigene can hold a key position, because Lagos is no man's land, like Abuja. The actual indigenes of Abuja are Gwari and Gbagyi, but check representation in HoR and Senate, I doubt you can find anyone from those ethnicities.
Can you find an Igbo man as an adviser in Ogun State? Two HoR members from Lagos State are Igbo.....that is why I stated already that the state owes indigenes of other states for it's progress so far. Tinubu was a governor in Lagos, is he from Lagos? Fashola and Ambode are not indigenes of Lagos, but both occupied seats in Government house.
Can a man from Osun become governor in Ekiti? That example is void because Lagos is the exception to such occurrences. That level of tolerance is not obtainable in any other part of the entire South West. Do you know why? Because EVERYBODY is in Lagos, every ethnicity has a decent level of representation in Lagos. It does not apply in Ekiti or Osun or Ondo, it cannot even happen in Ogun. Hahahaha! Like London and Paris are no mans land. Bhahahaha! Besides, you don't know anything about SW politics and history hence your postulations that nobody from Osun can rule in Ekiti. |

I'm sure you all saw how Theodore Orji rendered Orji Uzor Kalu politically useless. There can never be a Tinubu in the East. Man seats whoever he wants in Alausa, his wife is in Senate, his daughter is Iyaloja and everybody thinks it's perfectly fine. The difference between Lagos and Abia state is that there is no democracy or democratic system/process in the Abia state where people decide their choice while this syste/process is visible in Lagos. I will rather go for Lagos democratic system than that of Abia state that has autocratic system. I lie. |

safarigirl: lol....yiu mean the Federal Government aided progress?
Come and tell me how any of these states have ever benefitted from the FG. Lagos has been the pearl of Nigeria since the colonial period. Anambra is moving and functioning with little or no Federal might......In fact, with little or no contribution from Lagos
It is the indigenes of these states that are responsible for at least 50% of Lagos IGR by way of importation. They don't have seaports, no access to foreign investments like Lagos has, but even with the undue advantage, these states are doing great by any standard.
They have a higher living standard, better education, higher life span.......they focus on people-based progress. No be by spilling numbers that cannot be replicated in the life of the average man. By the mid-19th century, after the waning of the slave trade, Old Calabar’s economy had become based on the export of palm oil and palm kernels. After the chiefs of Duke Town accepted British protection in 1884, the town, which was called Old Calabar until 1904, served as capital of the Oil Rivers Protectorate (1885–93), the Niger Coast Protectorate (1893–1900), and Southern Nigeria (1900–06) until the British administrative headquarters were moved to Lagos. It remained an important port (shipping ivory, timber, and beeswax, as well as palm produce) until it was eclipsed by Port Harcourt, terminus (1916) of the railroad, 90 miles (145 km) westWhat stops Calabar and Abuja from replicating what Lagos is doing? You think money from importation taxes enters Lagos state treasury and you think the indigenes of Anambra state contributes 50% of Lagos IGR? Bhahahaha! That was what some Anambra folks on Nairaland said about having the highest billionaires in Nigeria but after being shown facts they dared not say such again. |

When Lagos was left to rot after almost everything were relocated to Abuja, who resurrected Lagos from ashes?
When Lagos was filled with potopoto and pot holes, who fixed it?
When Lagos was filled with jaguda and thieves all over, who chased them out?
When Lagosians perished and died daily in Majidun river along Ikorodu road due to one narrow bridge, who came to initiate the expansion of the road?
When Victoria island, Ikoyi, Lekki and main Island roads, drainages, and vertually all infrastructures were left in comatose, who fixed it and made it livable and attractive?
When Lagos was disorganized disjointed and in disorderliness, who introduced decency, orderliness and organisation through Kai, Lasma and Lawman?
When Lagos was unattractive, unliveable and appalling to investors, who made it the beautiful bride?
When Lagos was governed by Otedola, Maruwa, Raji Rasaki, Oyinlola etc, why was Lagos still in comatose after they left and why couldn't dey regulate the tax system? Was Lagos not a federal project as at then? Who stopped them from making initiative and long lasting policies?
When Lagos was brook and depended on federal government allocation, who raised the revenue?
People say Lagos is a federal project, so was Calabar and now Abuja but how come they can't regular tax system in these federal project cities?
People who doesn't know anything about the success of Lagos, can ignorantly say Lagos can develop without an icon in the person of Alhaji Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
He is the one who drew the template of Lagos.
After Christopher Columbus discovered the new world, his people said it was not a big deal after he returned from his voyeges, he then asked them to stand an egg but they tried to no avail. Then, he pressed the button of the egg to make it stand. They said that was easy but he said, you didn't think up to that level. As simple as it looks, doesn't mean you can think about it.
Those who are making mouth, Tinubu did nothing because they are enjoying what he did, are not different. Just mouth.
Now, let them tell you who should replace APC, most of them will be calling PDP for best reason known to them. This is without telling us who in PDP is competent enough.
One thing they don't understand is SW politics. If Lagosians decides to kick out APC today, they will be kicked out no matter what Tinubu does, but they will do it by replacing APC with a competent candidate in any political party but for now, PDP and other parties don't have anything to offer. BascoVanVeli: Afelokhai Still Likely For Super Eagles’ Invitation
By Editor - October 1, 2018
Enyimba of Aba goalkeeper, Theophilus Afelokhai may yet get an invitation to the Super Eagles before the year runs out, as reports reaching footballlive.ng indicate that the inform shot-stopper is still under the searchlight of national team handler, Gernot Rohr.
Although Afelokhai is not included in the squad list to battle Libya in two impending back-to-batch of the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers, feelers indicate he is being monitored by Rohr. Afelokhai has outshone Eagles’ second choice, Ikechukwu Ezenwa at Enyimba, following the suspension of their Ghanaian star, Fatau Dauda for discipline. Since then, Afelokhai has performed well in their CAF Confederation Cup and was picked ahead of Ezenwa for their last group match in the 2018 Federation Cup. However, despite his present status ahead of Ezenwa, Rohr is yet to think much of Afelokhai, and again left him out of the list to face Libya for upcoming AFCON 2019 qualifiers. However, reports reaching footballlive.ng reveal that the former Kano Pillars keeper is still under observation by the Eagles’ crew and could get an invitation for future games.
https://footballlive.ng/afelokhai-still-likely-for-super-eagles-invitation/ Why not now? Nonsence talk. |

Nine defenders were listed if I’m not mistaken. Of course, I know that but my point is in regards to them playing in the same championship league yet ignored. Shehu is waste of space. Some players are simply in the team based on favourism. |

No one here is saying Iheanacho performed great. But the fact and seeming comfort of you making this larger than it is, to prove he is no good is what I can't agree with.
Pls Ozil is there too. Pick on Ozil.
He's so poor that Loew had to come to the Arsenal Training Ground to want to try lure him back to national team football?!!
Nacho has left that last season form way behind him and you are here ensuring that all our ears twitch at your constant mentions of poor poor poor. You're one of those that feed on the fact that form is a constant thing in the career of any pro.
I'm glad you fulfill the other side of the table of making him the most discussed player on here.
