Omofunaab2: The tussle for State capital was between Obasanjo and Awolowo.. Awolowo wanted his town, Ikenne to be the capital.
You say Amosun wants everything for the Egbas, lol.. Amosun has not even done anything yet.
80% of Ogun state tertiary institutions are in Ijebu land, the two State University are in Ijebu land.
When Ogun State was picked as part of the state to host 2009 Under 17 World Cup. .gbenga Daniel took it to ijebu ode neglecting the state capital.
Today Ogun state Civil service is like Ijebu Civil service because you people have fixed yourselves everywhere.
If OGD had done well when he was governor and ensured Abeokuta doesn't lose the glory of being the state capital maybe Amosun would have fixed all the roads in ijebu ode.
Besides tell me how many states in Nigeria have flyovers in towns apart from the capital? Amosun gave ijebu ode two flyovers, Sagamu one flyover and you say Amosun is bad. .People staying in Akute, Agbara should be the ones complaining the most.
The problem with most of you ijebus is that you don't know that Abeokuta being the state capital makes it vital to the state than ijebu towns. Those who have been able to grab this fact are the ones agitating for Ijebu state.
The Political tussle between Ijebus and Egbas can never end unless ijebus are given their own state. First of all, Owu/Ijebu/Remo runs in blood hence the affection towards all. No schism. If Awolowo wanted to develop Ikenne, he would have done that when he was in power but he rather developed Ikeja. Was it when he was nolonger in power he would tussle for the development of Ikenne? You are far from the truth. Egba man with the mentality egba gbo gbo lowo e used his power to get the capital in other to develop his village and tried to neglect other side's. Too bad! Name the 80% Ogun state tertiary institutions in Ijebu land and Abeokuta. Let us see if you are saying the truth. In fact, you are saying it was pay back time for Amosun against the Ijebu and Remo, right? Then, I will later tackle all your points. |

Gazzy88: You're sensible. I don't hide my hatred for the ijebus. They are too bad to be left with power. Look at what amosun has done to abeokuta, the state capital. Abeokuta that's supposed to be a bustling city was rubbished by the ijebus because they didn't get the state capital. Amosun came and start developing the city but wasn't too comfortable with the ijebus. Awujale has stopped attending state meetings for a very long time because of amosun hatred. I will vigorously campaign for the emergence of GNI instead of dapo. Awolowo and Olabisi achievements can't be equalled by any Egba son in governance. Is it a lie? |

We all know Amosun don't normally do things the right way but even at that i still believe that if Osoba and Osibanjo and Co wanted to teach Amosun a lesson then they should have gone for another Yewa candidate in Apc and not ijebu.
Right now Dapo can't win Ogun East, Ogun central and Ogun west What is all these ado about an Egba man must rule, Yewa man must rule or Ijebu man must rule when people are suppose to know what each candidates got to offer? |

Gazzy88: it's the handiwork of tinubu and osibanjo because of how amosun treated yayi. He wants power return to ijebu so that they can achieve amosun milestone transformation of abeokuta there in ijebu. You know there's been an age long rivalry between these two tribes but they forget abeokuta still dictates how things roll in ogun state. What is wrong if Ijebu wants to achieve Amosun milestone transformation of Abeokuta in Ijebu land? |

Omofunaab2: Abeokuta is the State capital for Godsake. ..it's high time Ijebu people know that.. .abeokuta has been abandoned many times whenever ijebu candidates gets to the seat..Onabanjo did it, Ogd even went ahead to threaten the paramount ruler of egbaland for complaining about the bad state of most abeokuta roads. If not for Justice Akinola Aguda's willingness to satisfy the then Head of State, Olusegun Obasanjo the Egba/Owu man, Abeokuta wouldn't have been the capital. Shagamu, Iperu or Ikenne would have been the capital. Awolowo was once Premier of western Nigeria but he didn't carry the capital to his home town neither did he greedily develop his village rather, he thought about the welfare of the whole people unlike Egba man who wants all for themselves. safarigirl: it is not a majority by far. I was admitted there less than a decade ago, I saw the list. I compared it with other schools.
if a census is carried out in Unilag, you would have 50% Yoruba and the other 50% would be other ethnicities. Do a census in OAU and you will find that 88% would be Yoruba, with 12% other ethnicities. Take a survey in UNN, that one is even worse. If you find up to hundred people in the entire school who aren't from the East or affiliated to the East in some way, you have done well
That is why I said Unilag is the most diverse school in Nigeria, only outdone by University of Abuja. The diversity in Unilag is not seen in other Universities. If they practiced cachnent area in strict terms, like everywhere else, you wouldn't find up to 40% of students that are not Yoruba
And I still insist that Yorubas are not the indigenes of Lagos, they are settlers. In another two hundred years, someone will call Igbos indigenes of Lagos, having settled there for centuries. Very funny. Indigenes and settlers, wetin be difference? |

Smh
The reason you and your cohorts can't accept the facts stirring at at your faces is because your are from the same place Iheanacho comes from. Yes! Because I perceive most are Igbos. Yes! Nothing more, nothing less.
What can be more tribal bigot than this?
Unfortunate, the world doesn't revolves around tribal sentiments reasoning. It is way beyond that and their verdicts have been given. These alone has vindicated my postulations.
Afterall, no bi me the so called Yoruba gave the verdicts. Deal with it man. Kiss the truth. Where did you see me call every other person who regards KC quality tribalist in that post? The bolded explained it all. See the snapshot for more details. tglobal: BTW, calling a fellow human being an animal because you disagree with them isn't something to be proud of neither is eating from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil (You know my reference for that).
Again, it will be of good benefit to your well being to disabuse your mind from imagining that your fellow forumites are the basest of humans because they disagree with you. And don't use the excuse that they are doing the same as justification for your actions (Again, you know my reference for that). You post wreck of double standard ladding with prejudice. Besides, Every man is an animal but the one without knowledge makes it different from a man. Jer 10:14, Psalms 49:12. I am not God who said so.

tglobal: I think he has baited you by using the same approach you take to question Kelechi's performances in the EPL. He borrowed multiple pages from your book and I am therefore surprised at your insinuation that this is an attempt to bring down Kayode while your comments on KC shouldnt be seen as such!
I will suggest you compare his comments with the ones you have made in the past to present Kelechi as a less than average player and no longer worthy of invitation to the national team. Also consider that you tend to suggest that KC isn't good enough if he doesnt get game time or fails to deliver on goals. However, if someone brings up Kayode's performance from last season, you come up with reasons that range from his teammates selfishness to him having to compete with players KC could never dare to polish their boots (I know this is an hyperbole...but you get the gist).
*What I am asking you to do will only make sense when you have the time, are in a good mood and not hell bent on finding reasons why you are right and every other person who regards KC as a quality player is a tribalist* What makes a man differ from an animal is his conscience. Man has conscience but animal doesn't have. With this, they can decipher btw good and bad but if they can't decipher btw right and wrong then they are animal. Hence, you should be able to decipher btw pull down syndrone devoid of basic facts and pure unadulterated undiluted truth backed with confirmed facts. I think once you are able to use your conscience rightfully, you can arrive at the right conclusion but as it stands, I am sorry to say... it is left for you to decipher. Get the gist. Besides, there was never a time I called anyone who regards KC as a quality player tribalist. It's other way round. Spare me the false accusations. |
