I tried to ignore this post but my conscience refused.

Forgiveness, I don't know what your problem is.

You better purge your heart of tribalism so you can think freely.

Are you the only Yoruba man here? It is very obvious that your hatred for the Igbo tribe is so deep rooted.

I wonder why some people will come here and still be pretending as if forgiveness is not a tribal bigot.

You better change this attitude of yours as it will take you no where.
Chai! See interpretation. grin

I am a critical thinker and I analysis issues based on the parameters on ground.

My opinions are not formed from illusion or delusion but from the facts on ground.

Now, before you start calling me names, let me present to you once again the matter that led to your false accusations.

Your false accusation came after I replied a comment that said and i quote. 'Once you perform you get invited. Same trend happened with Ighalo, Onyekuru, Uzoho. All talk about bribe, corruption and nepotism are unfounded and should be hushed up'.

As you can see, the @ bolded caught my attention. 'Once you perform you get invited' my eyes popped out ..toyonyon.. What! shocked for where!

In response, I emphasized on three players of which one invitation is very questionable and raised eyebrows.

That particular player is Chidiebere Nwakali of whom if we speak statistically has done nothing tangible, in regards to performance this season to have justified an invitation.

Or do you think he justifies an invitation based on that quotation?

See I can also call you a bigot and tribalist if you justify his invitation because your are IGBO.

I can even tag all those who did so as IGBOS because majority of his supporters here are IGBOS but I am very careful to restore to name calling and eventually ruin my reasoning hence the need to analysis issues based on solid facts on ground which I have done so far.

However, the debate on 'once you perform you get invited' again raised my curiosity and doubt when Kayode is put into the picture.

Because if 'once you perform you get invited' is the SI unit measurement used for invitation then why was Kayode Olanrewaju not considered on the three occasions he found himself in team?

Pls, take note that on those three occasions that he was finally invited, Kayode was not initially on the list despite his eyes catching performance that won him best player and top goal scorer in the Austrian league which was also acknowledged by Man city and Guardiola.

Now, to add salt to injury, when he came for the first two friendlies, the coach didn't deem it fit to try the new kid on the block on the position he won awards and didn't even start him in the second friendly but rather he played him out of position and gave him 14 and 20 minutes each. What dos that mean? Is friendlies no longer used to see players?

The last time he called him due to injures on the part of players initially invited, it was for a dead rubber match and a friendly but he gave him just 3 minutes out of 180 minutes of football. Smh

But you think all is well and his assertion should not be contested?

Abraham who was just invited to the English had started for England and so it was done to any player called by the top teams in the world. Why is ours different?

Alampasu has not been given the chance since he was invited despite the fact he did very well against fc Porto. Abi, is Girona better than fc Porto?

How come he has not been tested over 5 good friendlies?

Or having a clean sheet against former UEFA champions does not impose enough confidence in Alloy Agu?

Think Think and Think.

Now, Igbo is me I am Igbo. How? I am no saying I am but that is it..

Hating Igbo is hating myself. Period. grin

WHO DO NIGERIA FANS WANT IN GOAL AT THE WORLD CUP?
22:06
Goal

https://images.performgroup.com/di/library/GOAL/9b/59/nigeria-goalkeepers-hp_1gu6isk0xovon1apy1wbilx288.jpg

With Carl Ikeme out of action, who do Super Eagles supporters want to see start between the sticks in Russia?

Nigeria fans want Vincent Enyeama back between the sticks for the World Cup, with the Super Eagles centurion overwhelmingly winning a recent Goal poll.

The LOSC Lille stopper received 61 percent of the votes when we asked readers who they’d most like to see start for Nigeria next summer.

Despite overwhelmingly convincing preparation for the Russia World Cup, Gernot Rohr still has a conundrum between the sticks, where Carl Ikeme is unavailable following his diagnosis with acute leukaemia.

The Wolves No. 1 stepped into a starting role following Enyeama’s premature retirement from international duty, and his sustained absence has seen the German coach experiment with various options.

Even though he’s yet to reverse his decision, the legendary Enyeama still remains the favourite with Nigeria fans, with the majority of respondents hoping—if not praying—that he returns for next summer’s showpiece.
According to our poll, the other options don’t have much faith with Goal readers.

https://images.performgroup.com/di/library/Goal_Nigeria/99/ac/vincent-enyeama-of-losc-lille_2s595a9kixac1hhkz34uqnnd4.jpg

Wonderkid Francis Uzoho, who made his debut at half time against Argentina, is the ‘best of the rest’ according to those who answered our poll, with the Deportivo La Coruna man picking up 26 percent of the votes.

It’s telling, perhaps, that a 19-year-old with only 45 minutes of international experience garners significantly more confidence among supporters than some of the other options used by Rohr during the qualifiers.
Worryingly, incumbent No. 1 Ikechukwu

Ezenwa, who has been first-choice since Ikeme’s diagnosis, received just nine percent of the votes.

https://images.performgroup.com/di/library/GOAL/43/5d/nigeria-vs-benin_s893uxzpjnru1t1z8ofrzvvby.jpg

Certainly, his stock has been dented after a few nervy moments, but this demonstrates a worryingly lack of confidence in the incumbent on the part of Nigeria fans.

Elsewhere, Daniel Akpeyi’s popularity ratings are at an all-time low after his horror error against Argentina, where he was fortunate to get away without a first-half red card.

He received a miserable one percent of the votes with, by comparison, Dele Alampasu picking up three percent.

At this stage, it appears as though Akpeyi might just be lucky to make the plane, and forget about starting in Russia.
It is only in Nigeria you overlook better players in better positions for mediocre players in lowly rated leagues.

It still baffles me that Dele Aiyenugba who is the only regular goalkeeper in Europe has been overlooked for Ezenwa and co. Smh

Nepotism of the highest order is at play in this department.

Even a second or 3rd choice goalkeeper in the Portuguese league has been overlooked for long.

Dele Alampasu has never been given the chance to prove himself. Despite been invited for more than 5 friendlies, the coach only gave him 25 minutes in just 1 game and that's all but Uzoho was invited today and given the chance today.

Alloy Agu wedo.

I think Rohr is acutely aware of areas where the team is deficient undecided or at least needs good subs. No need talking about the gk department. We all know that has been a problem.
I think Rohr is looking for at least three players - one ball playing defender, one midfielder and one attacker. We've been given hints as to who the defender is, Nwakali was tried out to see how he'd blend in the defence but not sure he cut it hence the latest about Joel Obi . But no one has a clue who the attacker gon be.

This latest on Joel Obi shows that the coach wants a good team for us and to beef up where we suffer lack. Once you perform you get invited. Same trend happened with Ighalo, Onyekuru, Uzoho. All talk about bribe, corruption and nepotism are unfounded and should be hushed up.
Nwakali did nada but e was called. Now, I call that kwurruption. grin

Kayode performed but we have seen the hand written on the wall. He does not want us to see how good he his, in other not to spoil market hence the need not play him, and when he did played him, Rohr preferred to play him out of position with 25 minutes in 3 friendlies. Smh

The last time he played him as a ST, he gave him 4 minutes and ordered his team to only defend.

Now, that is kwurruption. grin

How many games did he give Alampasu after he performed well against Fc Porto?

25 minutes only against Togo that's all before he kicked him out of the team. I know Alloy Agu is behind this.

What do we call it? Kwurruption and nepotism. grin

Good one. Joel Obi might just be the missing piece in our midfield and also a possible substitute for Mikel

Rohr is searching for a ball playing defender. How good are this young man's chances of playing for Germany where there's so much squad depth to the extent that Germany can field four different teams and he doesn't even get a mention? And if he decides to play for us they should let him know that his commitment lies beyond the WC ooo.

imagine Amunike from Zamalek in Egypt, Oliha from a club in cote Divore. Rashidi wasn't even at Porto or Sporting Lisbon. What club is Wolverhampton? What was their pedigree then? Yet we had a player from that club.

So please this your criteria is good no doubt but you cannot make it a law as I feel you make it to be.

I am familiar with Everton, as it stands if not for work permit issues i would say categorically Onyekuru would be in the first team, how consistent he would be considering the physicality and intensity of the EPL , I really can not say. People struggle to keep performing week in week out consistently if they don't have the mental resilience and or physical make up.

That is why Musa can not cut it in the EPL he is a bit lightweight for a striker add to that the number of really fast players in the EPL. His one main attribute of speed is not giving him total competitive advantage. Onyekuru has speed but more guile, trickery and skill.
Well, I know Onyekuru can go to Everton but I don't think he can bench Ademola Lookman.

Guy, abeg dont compare onyekuru with aluko cos he is far better than him, kayode chances at playing for city is so slim infact it is nearly impossible cos i dont want to be so pessimistic say impossible. one he is not even starting for girona and havent even scored a single goal this season just had one an assist, tell me how he is going to make it to city bench its practically impossible, onekuru has been clocking 90 mins and scoring goals, i dont know why he wont play first team for everton nxt season his chances are practically possible, its obvious you dont see it that way.

Nwakali C i dont even fancy him playing for the eagles, what i observe about rohr is that he like choking d midfield even though he knows they wont play, like agbo for example he is good as a DM for his club but cant sits on bench constantly for the eagles, that slot may as well be used to invite a stiker.

Nwakaeme is not better than Martins but I guess age is the issue we have now, we dont like to invite old players again infact rohr wont fancy inviting him so lets move ahead.
You be God wey go decide where Kayode go play for future?

How do you know Onyekuru will work into Everton's first eleven?

Age should not be the determinant factor rather Performance should be.

I agree with your points. We sure need better players particularly in the defence, midfield and attack. But it has to be gradual or at a good pace. It cannot be rushed and seven months to the world cup the emphasis should be on blending what we have. The search and integration of quality players will continue after the WC. For now apart from the gk we need at most four new quality players.

If you read my posts you'd see that I've advocated that Kayode should replace Nwakaeme. I'd love for both Onyekuru and Kayode to make it to Russia. It's not about comparing both of them. I know our current set up will suit both players cos we play swift attacking and counter attacking football.

I am happy Nwakali was given an opportunity. Latest reports say Rohr wasn't impressed. That's one less player to worry about for the time being. At one time or the other a fair share of Nigerian players doing well would get called up. At least that's the trend so far.
Now, I get your points.

Yea is a question that has no answer.

I watched Ryan Sanusi and i asked is he a Nigerian, got replied YES then why not invitation? too many players in the midfield,OK,why Nwakili invited?if we have too many midfielders.

I realised some make case for players they love to see in the Eagles not on performance and very few make genuine case.

Truly nobody expected Nwakili invitation prior to Algeria match and i see some shouted corruption and some said he justified the call up,some said his invitation was possible may be Rohr scouts must have seen him but the big question does he deserved the invitation.

Watching Algeria and Argentina he was nowhere to be found and report from camp said he failed to impress which i cannot verify.

After Algeria and Argentina i came into conclusion that Nwakili invitation came from a strong recommendation not from Rohr cos he was not under Rohr radar.

Paul Onuachu,Samuel Adegbenro are doing well in Scandinavia leagues why suddenly Nwakili. Some bring out stats to justify his invitation but just too glaring he did not deserve it.
When I dey halla dat time people think say I dey craze. As you said people want their players in the national team regardless of where dey trade their marks but they do it at the expense of those players performing.

How come dey did not see those two stars in the Scandinavian league?

Why not look Sanusi Ryan way if you are still searching for a decent DM? k

Pls give little respect to Onazi, Ogu and Etebo, truly Joel Obi is a good footballer who injuries has not help his career.

I remember Keshi gave him a call prior to WC if am correct but failed to impress.Good he is picking up but i can assured you Joel Obi w not walk straight into Eagles starting eleven.

I don't understand what you mean by in form Mikel only better Joel Obi.Let me tell you basic fact it w take a very hard working Joel Obi to bench average Mikel talk less of in form Mikel.

Pls go and watch Mikel recent games for Eagles and you w know the shoe is big for Joel Obi,no offence.

Eagles have evolved in a special way for just any player to have the confidence that he w walk in straight.Joel Obi have Onazi, Ogu first to contend with and it w not be easy.

Truly Joel Obi is good but the hype is too much, let see him again then w decide but telling us Onazi,Ogu,Etebo and others are not match is like downgrading the eagles.

We just need to give ve respect to present eagles especially the players for making us proud of the team again cos your analysis on Joel Obi look like the team is average for players like Onazi, Ogu,Etebo to make the team.
Joel Obi just came back from a very long injury when Keshi called him. He was not inform then but now he is in the form of his life. Let us take advantage of that by inviting him into the team.

i decided to watch his game today, unfortunately i could not watch the first half, but the second half that i watched, for about 15',his leg didn't touch ball,up till he was subbed off,he did not make any meaningful contribution, for about 5 or 6 times he tried to make contact with the ball,he fell down 3 or 4 times, then he was removed.
i didn't know about the first half, just the second half, but from the 30' i watched, that kind player is not going to do anything better than what we have.
the fact is that after Mikel,we don't have another attacking midfielder that can control the game,Joel Obi can not do the job.

i don't know the standard u want SE to attain, for me,i'm looking at the standard we can be able to compete with the best,we are talking about winning the world cup in 2022,is it all these type of players you have been mentioning every now and then that we are going use to win the world cup,or even AFCON?
it's not just any player u c playing in europe should be invited if we are serious of winning any trophy,we have gone beyond just participating in tournaments,we should b able to aim of winning not just participating, that's why it's not every player should b invited just because he is a good footballer.
u want to win a WC,u will invite a player like Joel Obi that will perform for one game, then get injured in the next game, and the rest of the tournament,n start looking 4 rplacement.

i don't know the kind of result you want to achieve with all these your players.
try to check the type of players that have won something for us in the past and c how good they were.
players in the mold of Kanu,Okocha,Finidi Olisey,Mikel, etc that's the type of players u should b clamouring for,if u can't c these type players i have mentioned, don't disturb us with all these type of players u and Komekn kept throwing at us as if they are going to win us WC if they are invited.
Who was the MOTM in same match you watched? Abi you sabi pass those ones?

Because you want to win the WC we should discard the best players we currently have, ba?

Joel Obi will comfortably and conveniently bench Ogu, Ndid and Onazi in that CMF role without stress.

Then he (Tammy) should prove he is up there with the big boys. He can't continue riding on the back of his exploits in the championship else he remains a flash in the pan. Dessers had similar exploits and he's picked up from where he left off after making the step up to a better league. Tammy will remain all hype and no jack until he proves his mettle now that he is in a better league.

I used Simon to drive home a point and u straggled, but even at that, a fellow winger in Samuel Kalu is also performing his primary duties as a winger at same club yet his numbers still speak loud unlike ur Simon's
Tammy- 15 matches 5 goals 1 assist in EPL

Dessers - 18 matches 8 goals 3 assists in EREDIVISE

Iheanacho - 11 matches 2 goals 1 assist

Does Tammy statics look like flash in a pan to you?

Onyekuru - 20 matches 8 goals 0

Simon - 14 matches 3 goals 1 assist

Samuel - 14 matches 4 goals 3 assists

Simon Moses still remains Gent best player.
