I won't give excuse for the coach but i guess your player, Nwakaeme was deployed in the right position. Don't say the team didn't get the ball to him. The guy is not SE material.
The pitch was bad hence the need to see him once again in a better pitch. Although, I have a little of what he's got but let us wait and see.

Lol...rohr need go for refresher course...
that nacho play from the flanks was a serious waste..
kayode would have been deployed there and nacho play the CF and iwobi the AM role....

etebo can then play the wings too...or probably Henry.

I never expected this formation from rohr
Very frustrating. I am suspecting he doesn't know some players position and strength.

I expected Iwobi in the Am and Iheanacho in the CF but the dude played them wrongly.

Etobor is not a CM or AM. Na by force? The LW is his best position. Make WC reach.

Why did this coach invite Ebuehi yet refused to cap him? If this boy later becomes super star and Holland comes knocking, does he think the poor boy will still come here and be warming bench?

I have seen that the coach has decided to drop some players without given them the chance to prove themselves hence the need not to play dem at all during the WC qualifiers.

Nigeria Target Dominic Solanke Set To Get Eleventh-Hour Call-Up To England Senior Team Liverpool striker Dominic Solanke is set to be handed a late call-up to England senior national team ahead of Tuesday night's friendly against Brazil at the National Stadium in London, according to reports.

The Guardian UK, is reporting that Gareth Southgate is set to call up three under-21 forwards for the Brazil friendly, Demarai Gray, Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Dominic Solanke to make up the numbers.

England have been hit by injuries ahead of tonight's glamour game against Germany, with Jordan Henderson, Jack Butland, Gary Cahill, Fabian Delph, Harry Winks, Dele Alli and Harry Kane pulling out of the squad.

It is thought Solanke will join up with the Three Lions upon his return to the England, after representing the U21 team in a European U21 Championship qualifier against Ukraine.

The 20-year-old, who is being monitored by the Nigerian Federation with a view to a call-up to the Super Eagles, could made his England debut two years after he first trained with the senior team.

Chelsea loanee Tammy Abraham is also set to play his first international game for England Men's national team within the next four days.

with all the hype sir komekn give them here...and the way he tear down others to promote them...one should expect the English team to be miles ahead of the like of Germany...in world cup tournaments...

later in the evening or better still tomoro...we will both toil this line....
You should have known the factors that undermines the performance of the English team.

1, Too much foreigners than the English. For example you can see only one or two British player in a match day game in top club like Chelsea. In some cases, only two or three british players in a top club in England.Have you ever seen that in the Bundusliga?

2. Fatigue: EPL players play in more competitions than all other leagues in the Europe hence the fatigue prior to the world cup.

who is tega onomah please...
please this is super eagles thread and not 3 lions thread...
stop using the English football system as a yardstick to judge our players...
those players you mentioning have every thing working for them...good and organised football system...unlike us here in Nigeria I doubt if tega had gone through what oshimen experienced while growing up....

over hyped English groomed players...if England was that England....they would have been edging Germany all this while om world cup tournaments.....

not everyone will be opportuened to.play in England even at that you should not expect a teenager who just changed an environment, football culture and vibes to get so well and smooth in Europe though some can....but definetely the lad is on a gradual progress....I believe if at 18 he could get few minutes under his belt I believe as time goes by...he will definetely get hours provided he keep working hard..

you're so swift to pull down other players just to promote your English groomed players which I wont want to call average....

only God knows if those guys you're mentioning even have a Nigeria passport
Oga, if you don't know Tega means u no dey watch EPL because the same Tega played there though with limited time. Abi you no see Tega Onomah for Europa two seasons ago?

Point to one AM in our National team better than him and don't stop there, tell me which ST is better than Abraham Tega and which LW better pass Ademola Lookman, huh, before you start to dey yan over hyped English groomed players. I never mention Dominic Solanke oooo. I think you saw how he demonstrated he is a very skilful and confident player with that his solo runs before he took a shot during the match against West ham?

Abeg, comot Mikel Obi for the comparison. grin

Abi, you mean generally English groomed players are over hyped? Is Dele Alli Over hype? Abi, the English groomed players are over hype because somebody snubbed us for England?

If you think English groomed players are over hyped then list and compare Nigerian and British groomed players side by side, make we see who don produced better players pass.

Just rewatched the Zambian game. Second half mainly.

The gulf in class between Iwobi and Simon is big. If Iwobi can be more consistent for Nigeria, I don't see Simon benching him. Key word, consistency because Iwobi has had some stinkers for Nigeria.

In the midfield, Mikel played the attacking role, Ndidi played the CM midfield role while Agu/Onazi sat in front of the defence. Earlier in the campaign, Rohr experimented with a double pivot system. (Against Algeria, Etebo and Onazi played in front of the defence.) Rohr appears to be willing to change systems depending on the game, that is a good thing.

Mikel Obi is the Choirmaster, Everything good goes through him. The short passes between Mikel, Moses and Iwobi was beautiful to watch.

Mikel Agu has good positional discipline. He might not have been too impressive so far but he keeps his position well.
Against Zambia, Ndidi didn't play the CM role when Onazi was on the field. Ndidi played the DM role.

To show the crassness of the idea that having institionalized modes of engaging these foreign born players cannot in the truest sense affect the development of our league let us take a review of the architecture, the developmental effort and structure that both enterprises would require

Formal engagement of players can require let's say at least two persons in France, England, Germany and Italy (as we are speaking it's possible say somebody fit dey our embassy wey him own na to just sit down, no work per se). Those are the hubs. They must personable, friendly, able to speak the local language need good social media presence, passion and consistency to make their efforts count. Imagine if you identify guys like forgiveness and give them that brief. Omo, let your imagination provide the answer.

Now let's look at what it takes in this era to have a decent league: we need good stadiums in all the states of the federation, we need good roads for travelling, we need good academies fairly spread out throughout the country, we need physiotherapy and medical sports facilities throughout the country, we might even need special courts to handle contractual disputes sharply without delays as is the case with regular courts, we need coaches, we need trainers, we need marketing and business executives to handle the business side of things, we need media executives and PR specialists, we need good network of scouts throughout Nigeria and possibly West Africa, we even need Web managers and social media consultants to maintain the social media presence of our local clubs, we need sponsorship deals and investments worth billions of dollars etc. We are looking at a whole industry with need for a large army of personel in specific areas, structures and systems.

So how does the 2% effort (comparatively speaking. Joebie help ooo, I no sabi maths) required to institutionalise our engagement with players of Nigerian descent born abroad affect the 70% effort required to develop our league? Please I want to be convinced how this is possible.

let me put it this way, you may come for an exam and because you are sick or some other forms of distraction your performance takes a huge dip, the external invigilator then starts screaming that you are a poor student but the teacher who stays with you in class everyday maintains that you are good. Rohr only trains with these guys a couple of weeks at most, no offence to him but he does not know these players better than their club coaches and some of us who may decide to follow a player properly. There are sometimes I just watch a match to monitor a particular player, I have done something like that for Etebo and found out the type of player he is when playing as the AMF, Rohr did not see that and played him a bad system for him, this is not a rundown on Rohr, he has a lot of players to monitor so he'd be occupied. I have done a similar thing for players like Simon(figured out he has only one skill-set, he is not even an average player but well below average), Tammy(and I am like why do we even need this guy? He is not the savior we need which I pointed out since) and Nwakali and Yahaya, YES. During their U17 people were losing their heads over Iheanacho but watch that midfield closely and you'd see that without Yahaya and Nwakali we would not have gotten anywhere, I pointed out to a friend back then that these two boys are better tactically than Iheanacho and I still insist on that and assuming Nwakali gets a chance we will all see that for ourselves as well.

So the point here is simple, some of us have watched some players better than the coach
When I read your comments about Tammy and Simon then I knew you are going to make a bad scout.

I mean you can't see anything in Tammy!? shocked grin

If you say Simon has only one skill set then tell me how many set skills do Messi and Ronaldo have? Let us not go too far. Tell me about victor moses.

Newcastle, Valencia, Benfica, Sevilla & PSV Watch Ex-Flying Eagles Skipper
Ex-Flying Eagles skipper Abdul Ajagun will be hoping that he did enough to impress scouts of top European teams that watched him action last weekend against Mechelen.

Scouts in Attendance is reporting that scouts representing Newcastle United, Valencia, Benfica and Sevilla ran the rule over the top talents on both teams, including Burkinabé wonderkid Hassane Bandé, who tallied his ninth goal in eleven games against Ajagun's team.

PSV Eindhoven Director of Football Marcel Brands was also among the 12,553 spectators at AFAS-stadion Achter de Kazerne (Mechelen), and monitored Ajagun for 61 minutes before he subbed out.

The former Dolphins star has been one of the most important players for Kortrijk since his arrival as a free agent in the summer, starting all their fourteen matches in the Belgian First Division so far.

Kortrijk are struggling in the league but Ajagun's career is back on track after ending his association with Panathinaikos.

The attacking midfielder is contracted to Kortrijk until June 30, 2019.

That was why it was a big news then because a 17 years old player that begged to play for Nigeria broke into Bayern Munich first team

A popular football analyst even wrote about him and suggested NFF cap him but dem no gree.

When Austria realised Nigerian press wrote about him and pressured NFF to cap him they quickly handed him invitation. That was why Austria rushed and capped him at 17 while NFF dey do suwegbe.

It was not necessarily recommendation but comparison and a questioning of a system that by passed these players.

But for the midfield role I would be looking more at Chuks Aneke.
I don't know what happened to Chuks in Belgium. When he was playing in Belgium pro league I suggested they call him for the U23 Olympic but somebody here preferred a bench warmer Ndidi in Belgium then to him.
