Icon4s: Ladies and gentlemen.
I am personally not happy with happenings here. This is a thread that I always visit to make myself happy and I am sure so does most others here.
It is true this thread was formed by a few number of us but it has grown to what it is today because everybody is always welcomed here.
On the recent feud between TheSuperNerd and Pietorico. Both of them were wrong. And we have exhausted all energies to condemn their actions.
However, I cannot stay in a house that is divided. I don't know Pietorico that much cos he is not much of a regular here but TheSuperNerd I know very well and he is like a son to me.
I suggest we set up a reconciliatory committee.
Elders of the house and every one else I need your take on this.
He is one of our illustrious sons here and not withstanding his short comings we still need him here. He is a great guy.
I need 1,2 or 3 persons to agree with me on this so we settle this issue once and for all.
This thread has grown beyond a social media It is now like a family. A house divided cannot stand. Who is with me on this?
cc: enomakos, Kog45, eterisan, TheGoodJoe, confun, Joseph1013, tbaba1234, Terzurum5, forgiveness, joebie, goldfish80, michael2, safarigirl, icon79, Bascovanveli, komekn, omanbala, Nigerdeltaboi, soetanoreoluwa. Pardon me if your moniker is missing. I concur with whatsoever will bring peace. However, I don't think I am in the best position to be part of the reconciliatory committee because I don't have first hand information of what transpired btw the two parties, but you have my blessing. Thanks for considering me for this great tasks. Thanks |

Dannyxy: Safarigirl lolz calm down Hello everyone, been one of those ,that have been following this thread ,from day 1, from first page..
I have Never intended to post anything, but to just read ,and learn from great analyst here.
But the situation of things here is not good, and the thread needs to heal, so as one of elders of the readers crew, we agree that thesupernerd, is one of those, that reading his posts, excites us.., so we are not happy he left.. Buhhhh, opening his own thread is not a bad thing, but the series of thing that happened before it, is very bad
Now , the supernerd, correct guy, I like you, but truth is, you have broken some people heart by leaving, note(not because of opening your own thread),; but by leaving, when they asked you not to.. Not cool, they see you as family..
Now safari, honestly, i think you chased supernerd away, wait for it, don't get pissed yet, not intentionally tho, see ehn, that guy likes you, so it got to him that, that you called him "rude," it showed that you are a good friend by doing that, yes, buh you were probably too honest, and maybe you should HV been more pragmatic about it, the bluntness shocked him, e pain am, as a friend, he didn't expect the bluntness and the harshness I of the statement..
And the end of the day, thanks to all of you who keep educating me'\us on this thread..
Iconz4- father father, and like a father, you can be to honest. , for sentimental peeps like me Thegoodjoe- I like you my guy Forgiveness- I no knw if I like you Micheal-I no like you, you always dey vex me Komekn- Jobie
Safarigirl, right from bba, she has been my pesin Hahaha! Very funny you don't know. Nevertheless, welcome. |

ChrisKels: That username just surfaced and exhibited one of the Nerd's habit, so don't be surprised that was Nerd in a different moniker. Nigga always feel he is better than everyone and that everybody is jealous of his achievements. If u were here when he had a fight with da Bigblangston, u would understand this better. This guy (Nerd) went as far as calling Blangston a low life riff raff who was jealous of his achievements as a youngster. A guy above 25 still called himself a youngster? was the question and correction from one of the thread members. He feels he has better career than everyone else whereas he doesn't have the slightest idea what each and everyone of us does for a living neither does he know our achievements in life. Just because we lot don't come here reeling out our achievements in life like he does, doesn't make us underachievers. Throughout my stay here, I have noticed one thing about him... Nigga is so full of himself and he has no regards whatsoever for whoever has a different opinion from his. He always wants everything to go his way. He is too emotional and saucy, reason he gets into quarrels more often than not, Safari had same trait (emotional and saucy) but turned a new live after the invasion some months ago. Seriously, if that guy doesn't change his way, he would have more enemies than friends even in real life.
He fought Blangston, he fought da Forgiveness and now this new dude and...counting. A else gets into fights like he does? Too much reading of the book called "the secret of power" He ain't no kid no more but he is too puerile for my liking.
But above all, guy is a great analyst and knows the game inside out. But his attitude remains his undoing. Though, I don't know exactly what transpired btw them but it's extremely over the line to call a mother 'bitch' regardless of the potor potor arguments, jabs, insults etcetera. To me it is preposterous, unacceptable and it should be totally condemned else this thread degenerate from its course to mother's slaughter thread. Now, in such case, reactions and responces differs, depending on individual. However, to err is man but to forgive is divine, therefore, I expect the two parties involved to sheath their swords, embrace peace and move on. E don happen be say e don happen. Nothing any man go do. After all, no body don't receive uppercuts, jabs and knockout pass me here. And to those adding salt to injure, biko, negodu. |

komekn: The issue is not approach but creation of a continous relationship with potential players prior to being approached.
The family background and structure of some of our players requires a strategic approach over the long term.
Now if I was given the official credence to make a strategic approach to Nigerian origin players recruitment to the SE. It would not be problematic in the first instance there would be a POSITIVE LONG TERM RELATIONSHIP well in place, such they would be declaring for Nigeria without overtures.
Unfortunately I am not and I am not interested in any form of Egunje or payback whatsoever. I totally concur to your emphatic submittions. The administrators are only concern when chop I chop is involved. |

TheSuperNerd: Honestly... I don't understand Chelsea sometimes. If a player can succeed at Chelsea, surely he is class. But again, you just listed a good number of Chelsea "flops" who have either gone on to succeed or are on the road to succeeding and proving their class...
Bertarad Traore is doing great at Lyon after a season at Ajax on loan. His move to Lyon is permanent.
Take a look at Lukaku now... he have had a tedious journey but he had made it to the very top now and can only get better. From Westbrom to Everton and now at age 24 going on 25.. he is at England's biggest and most famous Clubside, Man Utd.
Look at KDB... wow! he is just wow... amazing how he was never shown patience at Chelsea.
Even Sturbridge have done good at Liverpool but for injuries, he would have done much much more.
It is just that Sir. Chelsea is something else. If a player can go there and succeed... that player must be very good. Lol... I know Sir Forgiveness will smile at this very much because he is a Chelsea fan himself. But na true I talk shaa.... . And I did. |

goldfish80: What we called Pro league back in the 70's and 80's was nothing more than semi professional league where students played for league clubs. That was the reason why so many players of that era left Nigeria to go study in America. People like Okey Isima, Ofoje, Patrick Ekeji, Kenneth Boardman etc....
They hardly payed these guys then. They played for the love of the game and the fame that came with it. I know some of these ex players in person. Someone like Stanley Okoronkwo is actually like family. I can beat my chest and say you know little of what you're talking about. Hahah! Believe me I tried to formulate a way of rating these players and I realized the likes of Ehizibue of Zwolle FC, and Kenny Otigba are underrated. Of course any player who is good enough for the SE whether home or foreign born should have the opportunity to play for Nigeria. What gets me peeved is the wahala of trying to convince the foreign born players (especially those who are unwilling) Anyone who don't feel Nigerian after been approached should be left alone. |

somehow: Football is more than what you listed, having nice infrastructures doesn't make your league better, Chinese league is blessed with great infrastructures, does it make it better than Russian league? Their infrastructure is better of than most leagues in Europe, yet doesn't make their league better. Like I said, which club from the countries you listed can beat any of our top 5? You can't find any NPFL club that sacks all players at once. Stop using past incidence to judge the league. Do you even know the minimum salary paid to players in the league? Infact what exactly do you know about the NPFL? When did the Chinese league began? Bros, I am a diehard patriotic Nigerian. I have also defend/defended my country wherever I go or whenever I meet foreigners but make we tell ourselves the truth, our league needs facelift and improvement in all areas. For now NPFL na huge joke. |
