somehow: And so? Wetin conern 80s with the level of the league now? 85% of NPFL clubs didn't own this season and I can give it to you that 80% of the 20 clubs in NPFL will beat all clubs in both countries hands down. Forget the past, its improved (talking from physical experience and as someone that's a stakeholder in the league/also watch live matches.). Sorry for late reply. The difference is like sleep and death. Dilapidated infrastructures, boring football, talent drain, poor officiating, empty stadiums, unstable teams( sacking of all players at once), poor transportation organization, etc are the order of the day now. |

You just want a banter. Sorry for late reply. Very busy and phone problem. From 70s to early 90s the league was better. When was the English premier league first televised? How many European leagues were televised in the 80s? How many European leagues had sponsorship in the 80s? How much were the winners of those European leagues paid? |

But that doesn't stop them from playing rubbish into second relegation in a row Sorry for late reply. 1 thousand dollars per month only. Anyways, Nigerian league na comedy. |

Danielnino00: I agree a bit with Baba Ilori (forgiveness) on his assessment of the NPFL... No sentiments here the NPFL is becoming a huge joke.. Its hard to believe that this league of our was once the best in Africa that produced the likes of Kanu Okocha Yekinki Findi George Taribo West..etc...
The new management of the LMC ate really trying but the bigger problem lies with the club management.. In this new age majority of clubs in the NPFL are still owned by ghr government.. There's always issue of delay in payment of salary, match fixing, hooliganism and no transparency in transfer activities..
Unless we wake up and restructure the league we will keep losing out going talents to foreign clubs and it will eventually affect the nation team....

Is the NPFl the best platform for a talented player to reach his potential? With some hard work, some players from the league achieve success abroad. Gbam! You said it all. |

Joebie: lol different strokes for different folks.
Think Bonaventure.. Because Abass went that route. Also think Muazam..
Think Abubakar Aliyu who went to Finland. But he's gone to an even lower league now You get me? Nothing is guaranteed.
I will choose the NPFL over Latvia. Because I can always pull an Odey, Muazam etc stunt. Latvia? I may languish there. But I may also make a move to Austria from there.. Nothing is guaranteed. We can never tell how things will eventually pan out.
Leagues get levels. There are some leagues in Europe that I will rate even below the NPFL (no matter how bad the NPFL is) based on the strength of who are you are playing with, and against. Believe me some of our league clubs can beat SOME national sides in Europe..lol Were those players you mentioned bought by good clubs? I mean the best leagues? |

Joebie: Well understanding is the key. Most times many arguments will not even start if we have understanding. I've only said the report does nothing to show that the boy is ahead of the trio.
Even the scout report on Abass was sincere to say we can't tell how Abass will measure up in bigger leagues. At least Okon got a "pro-contract" in the NPFL. Are you saying the Latvian league is better than the NPFL?
I would rather hope to launch my career playing for a top NPFL side, than start out in Latvia. It's all about exposure. And I'm sure the likes of CHAN tournament could give a young player that.
Enough of these players settling for any league as long as it's outside Nigeria. But I understand they have to eat.
But don't tell me Abass is ahead of Mustapha and Okon. It's too early to say that.
Modified Don't forget the context is invitation to the Super Eagles. Let that sink in. Bros, the Nigerian league is a joke compared to other African leagues. The African Champions league quarter finals were played some few days ago, e bi like say I dey watch European league. Very entertaining and impressive. Until, all clubs are taken away from the government by private investors, we go still dey produce mediocre players. Most of our young players avoid the league like plague in other to get a good club abroad else the club will not near you once they know you have made the bench in the local league. *cough* Lavia no bi am na. I will rather go for Kingsley Madu instead or Taye Taiwo. |

Kog45: Not even big leagues but solid as Balogun especially CB position, with due respect to Ekong i still have my reservation.Awaziem sorry to say i don't rate him with what i saw against South Africa, hope he prove me wrong,Agbo too average for SE.
Rohr just need to address this before it's too late, initially i thought our fullbacks are d issue but with availability of player like Shehu, Echiejele,Aina,Ebuehi, may be Okoro and hopefully Nura Abdullahi we are covered.
I don't know how serious NFF or Rohr towards d full switch of Uduokhai to Nigeria,if d guy is available better for d team but my attention shifted to this WAFU tourney and i can say am impress with Eze,Adeleye,Okoro, though we might say d oppositions are weak but those guy are showing promises, hope Rohr is watching.
The Eze and Adeleye i saw against Ghana cannot be worse than Awaziem i saw against South Africa,so need to call this guys to camp and learn. Awaziem is now gaining more experience in the ligue 1. Give em break. |

Wolfsburg 1-0 Werder Bremen (HALF-TIME) Nothing has changed much. But Origi makes first good impression for new coach, Martin Schmidt. He puts Wofsburg ahead 1-nil.

We also have another one that shows ipob members urging the Nigeria army to shoot them.

kennysville: Sirs Komekn and SuperNerd, please sheath the swords. Let us be civil when addressing issues "passionately". I beseech you all. On this Iheanacho matter, let us understand onr fact that he is just coming out of a bad season, an injury to the toe and more importantly, new team mates with whom he is yet to bond, or even have understanding of the workings of the team. Last weekend's match was his first start and I want to believe he gave a good account of himself. As much as I like to disagree with super enthusiasts like sir GoodJoe, truth is he is right in some sense as per the team Iheanacho now finds himself. This team is set up with a primary focus of not comceding goals as against scoring. Scoring seems to be a bonus to their setup.
With that in mind, how do we expect Iheanacho to find his footing so quick when he hasn't even gotten the right vibe from other players? There has to be a level of understanding between himself and the other team mates with different attitude and need to win. This is what is lacking in the leicester team. The coach wants to play it safe, hence the "find Jamie Vardie " football pholosophy, whether you are clearing the ball from inside your penalty area, or throw in or any. Seems all shots at goal has to be by Vardy.
When Iheanacho gets going, he will also need the cooperation of Vardy (who I would deem pretty selfish) and Mahrez who is increasingly becoming Leicester's version of Mesuit Ozil. We all want what is best for our boy, hence the noise we make about hime getting game time. Iheanacho is quality, no doubt! Allow him at least 15 starts and then we can come and reassess. Afterall he is not gonna take the ball from the goal keeper and dribble his way all the way to the opponents goalpost and score a hat trick each time.
An example of what is happening can be seen in everton. That team makes Wayne Rooney look like a mediocre. Let us hope for a formidable partnership between Vardy, Iheanacho and Mahrez. Otherwise, all Iheanacho will be doing is passing the final balls to Vardy to tuck home. Final word, its too early to castigate Iheanacho, Our Iheanacho and label him a flop. One day at a time peeps, .... one day at a time. The truth is, season just began but people don start to dey pick holes. Make season rest den we go yan. That is why I have not said anything about Ahmed until now. |

komekn: In football you are only as good as your last game.
A year in football is like ancient history, two years is archived and three years your totally forgotten.
That is why you could be valued £100million one season have a poor season and you could be worth £20 million.
Since Ilori came to Liverpool he has done nothing he has been overtaken by boys who were 7/ 8 years younger than him. In near 4 years at Liverpool he has played 3 token cup games. You are referring to ancient history of 4/5 years ago in Portugal. I have watched him train at Kirby and play several U23 Games, firstly, he lacks the athleticism and strength required for the EPL even the Championship, consider that he has played over near two seasons in the Championship but just 12 games for Reading. That means Stamp does not rate him at all and its really a waste of money.
Compare him to Domonic Iorfa first team regular for Ipswich over a hundred games in the championship ,add to that Iorfa is just 22, 2 years younger but way more experienced to summarise, them no be mate at all. 1, Tiago Ilori played the full match against Fulham in the championship playoff semi final on the 16th may 2017. Is 2017 history? 2, In 25th may 2017, Tiago Ilori played full match against Huddersfield in Wembley stadium. How can Stamp play someone he doesn't rate in such crucial matches? 3, Ask Salah, Lukaku, Bryan etc what Chelsea termed them while in Chelsea. Flops!!!!!!!! So, that one no be new thing. 4, Bhuaha! Comparing hundred games in Championship with almost hundred games in the Portuguese, Spanish and ligue 1 is embarrassment to football. Walahiii!!!! |
