iblawi:Banana Island is not an estate, it's an island which is also part of Ikoyi. Banana-island mansions
|
iblawi:Then tell me, where is the most expensive area in Nigeria? |
iblawi:First of all, you agreed that Banana estate is the most expensive housing estate but you disagreed that it is the most expensive area because Maitama_District is bigger than Banana Island. But I said no, Ikoyi is the most expensive area in Nigeria because many expensive Estates are located in Ikoyi including Banana Island. Now, you are saying some part of Maitama is more expensive than Banana Island. Please, tell me that part and the amount to buy a plot of land. Please, take that the mansions in ikoyi are built on acres and not one plot of land

PissedYagami:This article was late last year when 1 dollar was 165 naira or thereabout. |

The first car produced in Africa with almost 100% African technology was produced by a Nigerian. The Izuogu Z-600 prototype was the first indigenous Nigerian car, and the first automobile of indigenous all-African technology. It was the brainchild of engineer Ezekiel Izuogu. Launched in 1997, the car caused a stir in the Nigerian media, and was touted by the then Nigerian chief of Staff General Oladipo Diya. But something happened and it could not.... http://www.imostateblog.com/2014/01/05/dr-ezekiel-izuogu-how-the-izuogu-z-600-dream-was-destroyed/

Kenyanstar:Well, I am not into this white or black talks but I will like to correct the part you said white let infrastructures, institutions, rule of law and working system in Nigeria before independent. Maybe they did that in South Africa and Kenya but I want to plainly say that they left nothing except railway. Which infrastructures are you talking about? How many 8 lanes highways or 2 lanes road did they construct before post independent? How many bridges did they built across major rivers? How many universities did British build? How many intercity highways did the British build? How many standard and well planned cities did the British left us? How many airports did the British build? How many, how many...? I can go on and on and on. The answer is the British built NON OF ALL I MENTIONED. Surprised? What kind of institutions, rule of law and working system did they leave behind? Institutions built on corruption, rule of law built on corruption and nepotism, and working system built for failure. All dey did was for themselves. Now, watch the video and you will know they had no intention of doing all those things you mentioned. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yTbdnNgqfs8 Picture of Lagos when the British ruled, compare with now.
