sometimes I no wan poke nose but I am tempted to do so. Aguero is not an average player because he scored lots of goals without any pass. He sometimes went solo to score goals. Abi who dey pass for am for La Liga (Atletico Madrid) where he shined like a diamond star in the cloud? . If scoring goals through pass na average, is Messi average? |

It is better we cap Tyronne and Ehizibue now before Holland does it.
They are aware that we want them.
I don't think we should use Moses as a right back because he is better for us at the RW and I don't think he can play it. |

safarigirl: even City fans are more interested in Gabriel Jesus these days, you'd think he's little Messi the way they go on about him.
Abeg make Kelechi agent dey find better club for am low key, I trust his father sha, his son will not rot on City's bench just because his name is Kelechi and not Roberto I have seen Gabriel Jesus and I think he is very very good but I don't think the EPL suits his style. Although, I may be wrong but how em wan take see space take dey run dey dribble for EPL without receiving a knock on his Leg? This is no Spanish league where at any slightest touch earns you the quickest free kick. Anyway, he has scored today and it will be difficult to drop an inform player without any reason. |

I already gave you a term. Versatility. All round play when you consider the other things he does.
If you understand it better, please explain it to me. I just wanted to get a clearer picture of what you meant. If that is the case then what do you think about the article below? He's the new... Solanke recently said that he counts Fernando Torres, Didier Drogba and Diego Costa among his idols.
At just under six feet tall, Solanke isn't exactly in the Drogba mould. However, his linkup play with his back to goal is reminiscent of the Ivorian's. His direct running has all the hallmarks of Torres in his Liverpool days.
A clinical finisher, Solanke is predominatly left-footed but appears equally adept with his right. |

TheGoodJoe: .
There are strikers who pass accurately, cross, drops deep and play fluidly. Tidy with tactical instructions. High conversion rate.
When you put their all round play, they are top notch. When it comes to playing up front, there are times some players excel in some aspects, and are weak in some.
Look at Bony and Iheanacho. Iheanacho can not hold up play like Bony. Bony's ball control is top notch but is all round play compared to Iheanacho is poor.[/color] Is the @bolded your definition of all round play? |

I agree TheSuperNerd should stop the derogatory remarks but I wish forgiveness can stop the insensitive posts.
TheSuperNerd posted a nice post on Gbolahan Salami and then forgiveness made it look like TheSuperNerd is doing it to whip sentiments.
That is so low from forgiveness. TheSuperNerd makes lots of interesting post of different players. Hmmm! I think I was misunderstood. First of all, I didn't look at the moniker before posting. If I knew I would not be stewpid to add salt to injury. I would have saved my comment for another day. However, I was addressing the press or whosoever is behind the write up. We know how it rolls. Does the Flo quote you posted show that Solanke's all round play is exceptional? What Flo said is simple.
Good First Touch. Good Physique. Good Keeping the Ball under Pressure.
It means Solanke is good as the big man up front. He did not say his all round play is exceptional. So why post that as a reply to what Mickael2 said? Explain all round play? |

Mickael2: yes I have, you know that startimes do manage to show eredivise matches on Fox sports so I have watched his games and his poaching skills are good. but his all round play isn't as exceptional as you make it out to be.
Ronaldo has more skills than Messi, you know snake bites, leg overs, rainbow flicks and stuffs like that, but Messi dribbles better than he does, that for me is the difference . You only saw his poaching skills but you didn't see how he withdraws to the midfield and sometimes plays on the Wings? Now what a reputable professional said about his style of play.

AIG07: Happy with this news! THIS IS THE TYPE OF SUPER EAGLES WE ALL HAVE BEEN LONGING FOR.
*Rohr drops 'vacation players' from Algeria clash*
Gernot Rohr has gone tough - he will no longer call up players he describes as "vacation players" because they have failed to fight for first-team places after two invitations.
"Some players have been invited for two matches but have yet to push for a place in the first team and now we wish to invite fresh players to do what they could not do," Rohr said.
"The time is gone when a player comes for two matches, collects bonuses, allowances and ticket refund and does not measure up.
"What we need now are players who can fight for first-team shirts and so make the team more competitive."
The likes of Israel-based midfielder Nosa Igiebor, Kingsley Madu from Zulte-Waregem of Belgium, Rangers goalkeeper Emmanuel Daniel and Jamiu Alimi from Kano Pillars could fall into this bracket of "vacation players"
source: http://odili.net/news/source/2016/oct/21/500.html I knew that was what some of these coaches do and that is why they invited mediocre player to the team and at the end of the day, they share some part with the co....... Shuuuuuu. |

TheSuperNerd: GBOLAHAN SALAMI BREAKS 15-YEAR OLD KUPS RECORD
The Nigeria international has made his mark for the Yellow-Blacks by breaking a 15-year old club's record in his first season.
Nigeria international Gbolahan Salami has distinguished himself with his goalscoring prowess by setting a new club goalscoring record with his Finnish club KuPS in his first season.
Salami who completed a one-year move to the Finnish outfit in February has scored 13 league goals this season to break a record held by Ilja Venalainen (2012) and Peter Sampoalso (2001) with 12 goals each.
The 25-year old increased his goal tally to 13 and set a new milestone with his opener in KuPS 2-0 win over HIFK earlier in the week
With just a game left in the Veikkausliiga, Salami still has some goals in the bag for Marko Rajamäki's men who welcome PS Kemi at the Kuopio Football Stadium on Sunday.
The former Warri Wolves and Shooting Stars forward shared a picture of his topscorer's award on his Instagram page.
"Record award. Thank you God," Salami captioned his picture. Record Award. Thank you God A photo posted by salami (@salami.fuad) on Oct 21, 2016 at 2:53am PDT

Generals03: I disagree sir.
Passing, marking and other basics actually belong to average players.
Consistently beating your markers, dribbling, laying killer passes, shooting accuracy etc belongs to the talented pool. You cannot do these things except you have it in built in you. Talent makes a player exceptional. It makes hin consistently do beyond the basics. Oga, you sabi something. |

Why can't forgiveness emulate other elders here on how to manage arguments? We don't always argue to win, but to learn and leave a good mark.
Now the question is, what kind of Mark do we intend to leave on this thread and also to our conscience?
Sir forgiveness you are an elder pls behave like one biko I have already admitted that 'Nacho played lesser minutes than Solanke last season'. Is there another way to do it? I stand by my comparison between Iwobi and Solanke. |

Exactly. Players who make simple but very effective choices. It takes insightful analysis to understand the impacts these players bring. Amunike called them, the best among their age group.
I hope the NFF take these players equally as important as others. They have unique qualities that can help boost our team in the long run. No wonder Bayern Munich players complained about Guardiola's one way traffic football. |

Mickael2: that's all you look at, stats stats and stats, ok take an example, Messi sprays a pass to Suarez and puts him clean through on goal with only the keeper to beat, Suarez sees Neymar coming and keeps his cool then gives him a square pass and he scores. the assist is for Suarez but does that mean that Suraez was creative in that move? please understand the difference between assists and chances created, this was what Solanke was doing, claiming assists from other people's through passes, that is called AWARENESS, and that's the trademark of every good poacher is it not?
Isaac Success and Victor Moses? Victor Moses is pact not really tricky, He is not the Lind of player that will use some leg overs to get past you, but Success can do that, now are you asking me who is more skilful or who dribbles better? Have you seen Solanke play before? As if I never play ball before. What is the difference between skill and dribble? You are entitled to your opinion. |
