Victor Moses still remains our best player and he showed it today.
Iheanacho is not a striker though he is a prolific goal scorer. His movement off the ball, his first touch, his poor aerial ability and poor positioning as a point man are minus for him.
He is better as a S/S.
Omeruo should not be used as a right back again else we go chop goals tire. All the chances the Algerians had came through his wing. Even if na one or two chances, it could have caused us the game.
In football, you don't need to create chances but once you have a chance score and the game don finish.
We need to bring Moses Odubanjo, Tyronne Ebuechi and Brian Idowu to be tested.
Onazi na baller. His job was well done in the midfield wella.
We need a CMF incase Mikel get injury.
People wey underrated foreign groomed players, una don see say, d best players in the National team.
Nigeria International Striker Named Best Player In Sky Bet Championship Published: November 11, 2016
Nigeria International Striker Named Best Player In Sky Bet Championship Super Eagle Sone Aluko has been rewarded for his imperious displays for Fulham last month after picking up the Sky Bet Championship Player of the Month for October.
During the period under review, the offensive all-rounder was on target in the Cottagers memorable win versus Barnsley, before notching three assists against Huddersfield.
Interviewed by the official website of Fulham, Aluko said : “Personally it’s a great feeling to be recognised with this award. It’s a nice feeling to be publically rewarded for your efforts.
“Ultimately I think it’s a team award. I wouldn’t get this award if the team weren’t winning and it’s a credit to my teammates and all the staff who have provided me with a platform to play well on. ”
This is the second time Aluko has been recognized as the best player in the English second-tier, having won the accolade back in November 2012 while on the payroll of Hull City.
TheSuperNerd: What are u saying sef?? Just listen to yasef!
Were Chidi Nwakali, Musa Yahaya and Kelechi Nwakali not in the same training camp in 2013??
Kelechi didn't even make it... He was far younger then.
Na wa ooo... So Manu Garba is blind?? You didn't hear that Ovie was prevented from coming because of academic engagements ba?? And for the U-20s he wasn't released at all?? You didn't hear??
Na wa for u sef!!!!!! Just blabbing as you want... Kontinu...
TheSuperNerd: @bolded... *Smh* I stand alone.... I belong to no "one of them" whatever....
Isn't it obvious you throw silly shades...?? You just threw a shade at Kelechi Nwakali without even "calling a name" How nice of you... Brova, you have no idea....
President of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) Amaju Pinnick has assured Nigerians that England youth international Ovie Ejaria will play for Nigeria at senior level.
Ejaria trained with the Nigeria U-17 team of 2013 but failed to make the team to the World Cup in Dubai, where Nigeria emerged as champions. The 18 year old has however made giant leap in the last six month.
He was handed his premier league debut by manager Jurgen Klopp in Liverpool 6-1 trashing of Watford, and he is already an international for England at youth level. As a matter of fact he could line up for England U19s against Nigeria in a friendly tournament in South Korea later this week.
However Pinnick is confident that the 18 year old will defend the colours of Nigeria at senior level as he is very much in the plans of manager Gernot Rohr.
”We are monitoring his progress and Rohr is well aware of him. We are not in any rush to call him up. His club career for now should be his focus but if Rohr says he wants him, we will secure him” He told Owngoalnigeria.com.
”He will play for Nigeria, we are very confident, his case is less complex than the rest”.
TheSuperNerd: Like say na only you dey mention players here....
Some of us aren't noisemakers and over-zealous with "players-mentioning" you know.... U aren't the only one who mentioned Agbo even from the U-23 thread... You say you don't mention players "anyhow" or "for fun" ba?? Okay naa... Still waiting for Ajagun's call-up letter...
lakesidepapa: Chai I remember this guy at 2005 U20 WC, he really played a big part in that team with the likes of Abwo, Isaac promise, TT, Mikel, the fly header against Argentina.....
Forgiveness, where is Abwo plying his trade?
Hehehehe! I no dey follow players wey I no see potential ooooooo.
But em dey Turkey second division. Giresunspor na em bi the name.
E don tey wey dis brothers dey make car. They started during the days of Jonathan and even tested it with riffles infront of Jonathan but nothing came out of it.
joseph1013: I think you're fueling a wrong narrative. It seems like forgiveness puts forth names based on a regional bias on the surface, but when you look closely at ALL the names he puts forward, they balance out across the country. Let's not make a wrong label stick. Biko!
TheGoodJoe: Yara Yara come and see Miracle. TheGoodJoe and forgiveness agree on the point.
forgiveness, take tiri Gbosa there.
Initially, I didn't agree that Alampasu should man the post if he performs well in the camp but after reading your post and others, I came to the conclusion that Akpeyi must show he is more experience than the rest in the camp before he is given the number one jersey.
The reason Mikel plays ahead of others is because he displayed it during the camps. Na simple thing na.
Icon4s: No, TheGoodJoe is different in some regards.
1. He can argue a point to no conclusion but if he later finds out he was wrong after all, even if it is after 2yrs he would own up and acknowledge it.
2. His like for players are not born out of sectional sentiments.
You wan make I open fowl yanch again for this Sunday?
terzurum5: Now you can see that he is not different from Sir Forgiveness. As far as he is bent on a particular point. He does not turn back.
TheGoodJoe Hmmmmmmmnnnnnnnn
Well, when you say 'bent on something', I have always try as much as possible to be realistic about my views.
What TheGoodJoe has been saying is nothing new. It is resealable to say the best in camp should be given the nod.
Then, let us ask ourselves these questions.
If Ezenwa and Akpeyi are more experience than Alampasu, don't you think they will perform better than Alampasu during training?
Don't you think they will convince the coach with their overall performance during the camp?
If Alampasu performance better than them during ordinary camp with no tension, na for real match dem go come perform?
Na simple matter. It's expected that Akpeyi shows his level of experience in the camp for him to be favoured ahead of the rest but if he doesn't, why allow him to man the post?
Mickael2: as in how? National teams or European tournaments? And at the 2009 U17 with Obuh, he was registered as a CMF, unfortunately his stats does not exist in whoscored so hey! You can lie sha and I won't catch you
Meaning you didn't follow Onazi during his days at Lazio youth team.
This is not a lying matter. It's a know fact.
Have you agreed Onazi is more experience than Ndidi?
Mickael2: i have already told you before when we had this discussion that I know he played as a CMF.
Meanwhile tell me how Onazi is the better all round player please? Has Onazi ever being in a team that finished second or even third in their league? No, and even when he was in a top 4 team, he was a bench piece, a squad player, so please(with facts too)tell me how he is better
Oga, you are wrong. Onazi played as an AMF for Lazio youth team and sometimes as a St/SS.
Before I begin answer ya questions, have you agreed that Onazi is more experience than Ndidi?
Mickael2: Ndidi has more experience than Onazi, do you think that is easy to play in the Europa league, remove experience there. meanwhile go and check what I told, Onazi's average rating is 6.3 while that if Ndidi is 7.5,how can you even start comparing that at all??! not to mention that Onazi has scored only two goals all season long while Ndidi has scored that amount in the Europa league alone, go figure
Oga, e bi like say you just prefer Ndidi to Onazi and that explains all what you just yan nau.
Are you serious! Ndidi is more experience than Onazi?
When it comes to all round Football Onazi na still be d baba.
Do you know the position Onazi played in Lazio youth team?
It is either Ezenwa or Akpeyi. Alampasu was just included in the team to train with the goalies and gather some more experience.
Rohr said it that his third choice goalie has to be a much younger person. For the Tanzania and Zambia games it was Emmanuel Daniel.
Even if Ezenwa and Akpeyi are ruled of the Algeria clash due to what soever reason, Alampasu will still not be in goal. For one, Emmanuel Daniel is even ahead of Alampasu. There are other good goalies in the NPFL like Femi Thomas, Theophilus Afelokhai.
I know it is only one person hear that could have mention Dele Ayenugba.
So, what happened to Dele Aiyenugba?
Read the posts gently and you will discover there are many.
chrisooblog: So when will you now judge a goalkeeper's performance? I talk say pesin no fit catch shot wey soft you dey tell me babu sey no be him fault say na counter. No be only counter na front desk you for talk
But how person wey no fit catch shot take help em Israeli league take win league?
OdenigboAroli: But there was never a time Aiyenugba was rated as a world class goalkeeper. I have always known him as a good penalty stopper, not such a great goalkeeper. He had his chances and fell short,he won't be the first,so let's try some other hands. Ultimately,I want you to erase Aiyenugba from your memory,he will not be called.
How many world class goalkeeper we get?
If he is better than the ones we have, why not?
He is better than Ezenwa and Akpeye combine. Sorry.
chrisooblog: not holding brief for ezenwa but if he is so rubbish why did atletico sign him then? anyways seems we are in a conundrum about this goalkeeping matter. femi thomas is decent but i've also watched him and he has his flaws. aiyenugba too we forget that it was his soft hands that allowed guinea to score which stopped us from qualifying for the 2012 AFCON.
fingers crossed the algerians will probably be too much under pressure to mount any serious attack.
Dem don sign am?
Until den, I dey observe.
Aiyenugba did nothing wrong in that match because it was a counter and you don't expect him to turn to super man.
NFF was to be blamed for not doing there home work.
Mickael2: God will bless you my brother, if I say that we need Enyeama now people will say that it's because I don't like Mikel's captaincy. the simple truth is that we don't have anyone who is good enough, it's not as if Daniels is better anyways, he is so tensed all the time even in an U23 tourney. sure he is a good penalty stopper and has nice reflexes but we need more than that, right now we do not have any backup option a all
Mickael2: thank you! Femi Thomas and this other Enyimba goalkeepers are all better than he is. the guy isn't even close to being average tankless of world class, just like you I no wan talk before sha, but baba don open the stage for us
You are right!
Femi Thomas was obviously the best goalkeeper last season and em still dey perform wella.
But Ezenwa get connection for NFF hence the undeserved invitation.
If we fail for this match na Alloysu Agu cause am.
Do you need to ask me again?! Though I see nothing wrong with the post I quoted, especially the part I boldly highlighted, but Some Dudes here would say..... Forgiveness has come again! LOL!
Hehehehe! I understand.
But na the truth be that na.
How do we explain inviting a keeper who has not seen active football for 2 months to get invitation ahead a player abroad winning the league?
