Crime / Re: Funmilade Adeyemi Declared Wanted By EFCC Has Been Arrested by Fortissimo502: 1:57pm On Jul 18, 2018
EmagNig:
A man identified as Funmilade Adeyemi that was earlier declared wanted by the EFCC, has finally been finally by the anti-graft agency.

Funmilade Adeyemi, with the fake name Prof Alexander Moses of Ghana had had so many petitions filed against him at the EFCC office, by the people he defrauded up to the tune of N27 million.

One of the people he scammed took to her Instagram page to notify other victims of his arrest and implored them to go to the EFCC office to submit their petitions against him.

Hello all please I would like to know the risk of applying alone without my hubby(unaccompanied) this is because my crs score it's 444 and with hubby it's 437...what are the procedures for sponsoring once i get to canada?
The procedures are pretty simple. You fill out the application and submit proof of your relationship. The problem is that it can be quite a wait before the application is fully processed. You can expect it to take at least 10 months and up to 16 months and even beyond.

Really,

I came in in Jan. Went for my test in March and went with the letter. I already had about 9 years driving experience from Nigeria and it was not accepted. They (Drive test) told me; they only accept letters from the embassy.

Well you can shoot your shot, it could swing either ways.

Yeah it sounds like a hit or miss. Or it might be dependent on the drive test centre. Someone told me they went there with the frsc letter and they were told to get the one from Ottawa cos the frsc one was "fake".

No it is not.

Forget the shortcut. Just come and do your G1 test and then schedule the G2 Driving test afterwards, you can get your G2 in 2 months after writing the G1. With your G2 you can drive anywhere and anytime. Only restrictions on Alcohol level. 0% alcohol at all times while driving.

I have a US license which after self declaring 1yr experience, should get me the G2 license without a road test. Then I'll self declare another 1yr experience from naija so I can take the G test whenever I'm ready. That's the plan.

Do not bother yourself with the DL Authentication letter from FRSC, they will not accept it at drive test centers. The only acceptable form is a letter from the Nigerian Embassy in Ottawa. Well, I do not know of other provinces but I can speak about Ontario.

Do you know if the letter is still required if you choose to self declare only 1yr driving history from Nigeria? Their website says no, but I just want to confirm. I plan to self declare 1yr from naija and 1yr from US.

I don't think there's anything to worry about though..But let others weigh in given I have not gotten PPR yet.
I agree. Shouldn't be an issue. Plus there's a valid explanation anyway. I also don't think there's usually an in depth review of the file after PPR.

There are courses done in conjunction with preparefor canada http://www.prepareforcanada.com and other pre arrival services (SOPA, prep can, AEIP, Acccessemployment). There is one for food scientists (http://www.fpsc-ctac.com).

NB: you can try using your AOR letter for some of them in lieu of COPR

Nice one, thanks.

Chai, people sha. Oga, whether he used human beings parts to get the money. Can you just please appreciate his gesture rather than ranting about what's not at all important? undecided

So if he used human parts to get the money, that's not important? The human that died to supply the parts doesn't have a mother? The person that was swindled out of their last card that they wanted to use to buy their own mother a car is not important? The person that commits suicide after losing their life savings to Yahoo boys doesn't have a mother?

Thank you for your good wishes.

Nope not misguided just confident,I did that because i was mostly satisfied that what i had did not match the definition of what was required to be declared. i read carefully.

Also on getting my bags i noticed that the bags including that of the food had been xrayed as there was a sticker on them letting me know. I am sure if there were issues i would have been delayed or fined as you said.

Lol ok I must have misinterpreted your initial post. Where's the continuation? You ended with 1/2.

hello all

Long post alert

silent reader on this thread. just thought to share short landing experience.

I landed Toronto Pearson on a weekend in April this year. At arrivals, there are machines and a queue for categories of arrivals. For example if you are a family with kids, they pick u off the line to the closest machines while others like us continue ,in my own case,in the very long queue.Anyways, finally got to a machine..scanned my passport data page...took my picture and then answered the typical questions such as declaration of goods..etc. in my case i said no even though i had a ghana must go bag of food as requested by my hosts. machine printed out my declaration form ,got to immigration officer who asked same set of questions on card and i gave the same answers as on card. she marked my card with a pink pen and then directed me in the direction of a colleague who then directed me to a glass enclosure where the border officials were. I don't know if it was because of the weekend but the queue was brutal to the extent that while i was still on the queue the SIN window closed for the day.there were about 5 or 6 officials on seat and they took their time.the line moved really slow because all different types of visas were on the same queue, visit visa, study visa..etc...they were the ones that got the short end of the stick cos their questions were really intense..what have you come to study?ok tell me about so and so related to the study..blah blah ..and then the visit guy that brought 7k cash and 3 bags for a visit....etc i tell you i was tired...i stood..sat on my hand luggage..squatted..stood again..it was bad. Finally got to my turn and it was the official that had been intense with the visa person..i prayed not him God please but alas it was him. i prayed ehn..but got there ..asked for passport,COPR,address and completed the forms..asked me to sign both copies and released me..less than 5 mins ,phew! SIN window obviously was closed so just went to the welcome to canada section where i was given a bag filled with book guides, newcomers leaflets etc..and then to baggage claim. Due to the long wait at Border,my bags had been dropped at the section where my plane released passenger bags and other planes that were just arriving were using the claim areas. eitherways took a bit to locate it..finally did....handed over my declaration to customs at exit..didnt even check and i was out.1/2

Why on earth would you do this? Misguided on a number of levels including the fact that you could have been fined.

Congratulations on your landing.
