Entrepreneurship is the solution to mass unemployment and there is absolutely no doubt about that. Unfortunately the Nigerian educational system is devoid of entrepreneurial studies which provide young graduates with the audacity and courage to start-up after school. Instead, the system prods graduates to search for non-existing jobs after studies. With the current state of the Nigerian economy, where sectors which are meant to create massive job opportunities in comatose, the reason graduates stay two years or more after school without jobs cannot be far fetched. As a matter of fact, many have argued that considering the difficulty in assesing start-up capital, engaging in entrepreneurial activities is as difficult as one could imagine. Whereas that is partly true, there are other issues which if properly addressed could be leveraged upon by young individuals to start up. GFA's Bizness Factory is set to fill the entrepreneurship gap created by the Nigerian job-seeking educational system by equipping Nigerians especially the youths with every information neccessary to be employers of labour. Business incubation through effective mentoring and guidiance under the tutelage of our seasoned consultants in different fields would help create the neccessary courage and spark through which Nigerians intending to start up would discover their entrepreneurial prowess. That is our own humble contribution to alleviating poverty in Nigeria which is being aggravated by massive unemployment. Yours Sincerely GFA Follow us at: www.biznessfactory..com |

Previously, during a transition period like this, politicians, businessmen and corporations struggle for space in the dailies to congratulate the incoming president. This is not the case with the incoming administration of President Muhammadu Buhari. What could have caused this. Are Nigerian businessmen and politicians so broke that they cannot place adverts congratulate him? |

PDP awards N24bn rail project to carwash firm’ FEBRUARY 17, 2015 BY JOHN ALECHENU Leave a Comment The All Progressives Congress Presidential Campaign Organisation on Monday insisted that the President Goodluck Jonathan-led administration lacked the capacity or the moral courage to fight corruption, and could not therefore, be trusted to govern Nigeria again. The campaign said a government with a notorious record of indifference to corruption should not be taken seriously to fight corruption. In a statement signed by the Director of Media, Malam Garba Shehu, the APC campaign cited the Nigerian Railway Corporation, which it alleged was groaning under the weight of corruption as a glaring example of the level of sleaze being condoned by the administration. The statement alleged that a car wash company with no experience in railway construction was awarded a railway rehabilitation contract at N24bn. It also mentioned another case of N44bn consultancy contract awarded at N488bn and increased by extra N2bn overnight. The APCPCO revealed that despite repeated petitions, which were investigated and confirmed by the Department of State Service, corruption and inflation of contracts continued to grow unabated at the railway corporation. According to the APCPCO, most of the individuals involved in these shady deals could not be touched because of their connection to powerful people in the presidential villa. It partly read, “The APC presidential campaign noted that with this level of corruption and impunity at the Railway Corporation, it would be difficult for the Jonathan administration to convince Nigerians it has the will or the capacity to rid Nigeria of the scourge of corruption. “Only in a country like Nigeria would a security agency indict a department of government of corruption and the government of the day would ignore the report" http://www.punchng.com/news/pdp-awards-n24bn-rail-project-to-carwash-firm/ |

May 29 handover date sacrosanct, says Jonathan JANUARY 25, 2015 BY OLALEKAN ADETAYO, ABUJA 45 Comments President Goodluck Jonathan on Sunday assured all stakeholders that the May 29 handover date remained sacrosanct. He made the assurance amidst calls by some individuals, including the National Security Adviser, Col. Sambo Dasuki (retd.), for the postponement of the February general elections. According to a statement by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Dr. Reuben Abati, the President gave the assurance during a closed-door meeting with the United States Secretary of State, Mr. John Kerry, at the State House, Marina, Lagos. The statement was signed by the President. He said he had what he called “a candid and constructive discussion” about a broad range of issues with his guest. The president said he emphasised to Kerry that he was deeply committed to ensuring that the elections were free, fair and credible. He added that he also promised his guest that his government would provide all resources that were required by the Independent National Electoral Commission to conduct hitch-free elections. Jonathan said, “I emphasised to Secretary Kerry that I am deeply committed to ensuring that our forthcoming election is free, fair, and credible. “It is especially critical that all political parties abide by the Abuja Accord, which commits each to non-violence before, during, and after the election. “I made it absolutely clear that the May 29th handover date is sacrosanct. “In addition, the government will provide all resources that are required by the Independent National Electoral Commission to ensure that the election goes smoothly. “I also emphasized that INEC is an independent body, which makes its own decisions without any interference from the government.” The President said he was grateful to the US for standing with Nigeria and its people in the nation’s fight against Boko Haram. He said he reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to working together with the US to put an end to global terrorism and particularly Boko Haram. He promised that Nigeria would also work to deepen and consolidate on its bilateral relationship with the US. The President described Nigeria as a vibrant democracy and the largest trading partner of the US in Africa with over $18bn in bilateral trade. http://www.punchng.com/news/may-29-handover-date-sacrosanct-says-jonathan/ |

"Let us look, what has Bayelsa gained from the Presidency? Where is the federal project in the state that is significant? I don’t see any. Not even electricity is available in Otuoke. Look at Bayelsa. Look at the Niger Delta region. Look at the East-West road. Why hasn’t he been able to fix the East-West road? Why is the Brass LNG not working? Why is it that all they promised us under amnesty has not been fulfilled? Where is the institution built in Bayelsa? Nothing has been done. Is that what Bayelsa is about? Is that what a Niger Delta presidency is about? We all fought for this power but certain people have hijacked it.” http://saharareporters.com/2015/01/13/electricity-not-even-available-otuoke-says-ex-bayelsa-gov-sylva-calls-jonathan-fox-sheeps |
