We thank God for them. I hope she has a good relationship with his other kids. I was praying for Funke to have her own kids. I thank God she now has. So, let the man now keep his deeki one place and stop borning from different dormot.

On a side note.

I am asking:

Why is it that a poor and wretched Christian man can find a Christian bride from any part of the world and from any social hierarchy but a poor or even average-income Muslim cannot? Isn't it racism in the religion of peace?
A Nigerian Muslim CANNOT marry a Muslim girl from Saudi Arabia.
It takes a minister or the likes of the son of a governor to marry someone from Egypt or Iran.
The racial disparity and racism in Islam are shocking.
Most Muslims end up marrying Christian women to have their stay in Canada. Pakistanis, Iranians, Indians, Algerians, Moroccans, Tunisians, etc.

Look closely at the divide in Islam. Each race or ethnicity attach to themselves. They hardly associate with people from other ethnicities. Yoruba Muslims surround themselves with Yoruba Muslims. Hausas do the same. The divide is a massacre.

Look closely even in Mecca. Look at pictures online. They go to the same place but the huge divide remains. They are in clusters. In Egypt, the Black Muslims have been pushed to the south. Egypt back in the days used to be heavily blacks. Sudan was cut out of Egypt. Look at Sudan and you can Imagine how Egyptians once looked in appearance. And ancient paintings prove that. The independence to Sudan was as a result of the racial prejudice and racism that they experienced. Now, they have almost successfully pushed the dark-skinned people out of Egypt. Most Egyptian Millenials do not even believe or know that Egyptians are dark-skinned. The light-skinned Egyptians are Mesopotamians who came in and the Europeans who settled back after the colonial era.

So, why aren't Muslims heading to Saudi Arabia and other rich Islamic countries like Kuwait?

There is no truth bro, christian ladies do not marry poor christian guys except their woolis / pastors wey dey use "cahrms" hold them. Why do you think they drag rich Muslim guys with muslim females with everything they have. Going to church every Sunday is a yearly budget on its own for ladies, they want to wear new dress and shoes every Sunday. They need money like "kilode". In sincerity, Muslim ladies are very very considerate especially when they have good jobs. They are not demanding, all they need is a fine boy who is responsible and ambitious, your present status does not bother them.

This is arrant nonsense.
Absolute fvckery and ridiculous fanaticism..

Its a shame that WAEC succumbed to the subtle Islamization ploy.

How many WAEC candidates observe Ju'maat?
Why should a student in school even want to leave school to attend Ju'maat?
Let alone a student who has exams.

In saner climes, WAEC would be sued to court for altering timetables for a reason as flimsy as this.

With the way the country is tilting, very soon Fridays will be considered work-free days and it will be considered an offence if the rule is flouted.
Very soon airlines will be forced to postpone or cancel Friday flights so that passengers can attend Ju'maat.

MURIC should get one fact clear;
Nigeria is a secular state and will always remain one!!!
Friday is a weekday and exams can hold on any day of the week (except Sunday which is globally considered the Sabbath day.)

But sunday, which is a day christians attend church is a work free day. Don't you think muslims deserves friday as work free day too?

Culture / Re: Uncommon Yoruba Names For Boys And Girls – See List by fortunes0215(m): 11:27am On Feb 09, 2018
emmalezy:

When you give your child a name, you want it to be very special and have a sacred meaning. It often happens that a name has an impact on a child’s fate and life. This is why parents often come to the matter of choosing a name for their baby with all responsibility and research the absolutely unique ones with the most interesting meanings.

Uncommon Yoruba female and male names with meaning
Why choose an uncommon name?

There are enough namesakes running around and parents just don’t want their son or daughter to be another one with the same popular name.

Uncommon Yoruba female and male names with meaning

Besides that, there are research results that show how people with uncommon names differ from others. They have different ambitions, different characters, and different lives. The point is that a child with a rare beautiful name feels slightly uncomfortable with it through the whole life and it’s a great motivation. For example, a child’s name means something so significant that people start to put great expectations on him or her. It makes a child strive for the success, prove that he or she is worth it. This is how notable personalities are created by a name alone.

On the other hand, by giving their child an uncommon name, parents just want to return to their roots and remember the culture and traditions of their ancestors. It’s a great tendency that young parents look through some Yoruba names dictionary to choose the most authentic and meaningful name for their baby. It’s a guarantee that traditions and beliefs of their people won’t be forgotten with time.

Let’s see, which Yoruba names and meanings are suitable for babies of today.

Ayotunde – joy has come back

Foreign Affairs / Re: Brexit: Theresa May To Officially Trigger Article 50 Today by fortunes0215(m): 8:52am On Mar 29, 2017
Chukwuka16:
The night of Brexit would ever remain green in my memory. Past midnight there was this certainty that vote remain would have it. Even farage and Boris had subtly conceded defeat, but the results from Wales was the tie breaker and by morning those who left to France the previous day returned by principle to a non-EU country. The result was catastrophic. GBP took a serious bashing and crashed to records low. As article 50 is being triggered it's important we begin assessing it's impact and the subtle opportunities it's going to create. How will education be affected. What incentives would be available for businesses since they would need to provide some incentives for their companies like tax rebates etc to cushion the effects of leaving the free market. How can we tap into this market and benefit maximally should be up for discussion. I see some peeps arguing that UK isn't Nigeria. It would do us a lot good if we just keep an open mind and learn from others as the world is only separated geographically. In essence it's a global village.
Furthermore UK would be re-negotiating alot of trade deals with fellow EU countries and would obviously be looking for deals that offer it the best value. Nations like South Africa would be looking to boost their exports of wine etc to the UK. Nigeria that wants to recover from recession and diversify her economy has been aware since referendum day of this day. Instead of getting our house in order to compete with South America in exporting things like mango and pawpaw and increasing our market share of other products was rather getting our beans banned to EU due to lack of proper management and due diligence.
Brits are cautious now. Spending is dropping and credits are increasing. Scotland is around the corner tinkering with the idea of another referendum to leave the UK and the economy is expected to contract up to 2% this year. With this uncertainty the government would no doubt want to encourage spending to stimulate the economy. Furthermore to keep London attractive would take alot by the government as many EU companies may be forced to relocate their HQs from London to maybe Paris or Brussels or Berlin etc to remain in the free market.
I'm willing to learn from advanced minds on this platform the paradigm shift and economic implications of triggering article 50. What opportunities are there for entrepreneurs and academics. These are my interests and would welcome further enlightenment.

Such a beautiful intro to spur intellectual discussion got only two likes. Whereas if its one ethnic rant or Sai Baba comment...nairalanders would be dashing likes like pure water.

adanny01:
As an ABUSITE myself, i browsed the ABU Alumni website (alumni.abu.edu.ng) for curiosity and found that the records of all Alumni of ABU have been captured.

Sahara reporters which reported that Dino Melaye never graduated from ABU suddenly came to mind. So i began an interesting search.

First i checked my name as an Alumni, it was there. I checked my old roomate's name, it was there. I checked for my departmental friends, all were there except for one whom i know never graduated. I went beyond my department, all names i could think of were there. Finally, i browsed geography department and started with friends and family i knew who graduated from that department, all were there except my late friend who died in 300L. From the results shared by Sahara reporters, Dino used the name Melaye, Daniel Jonah. So i checked for Daniel first, there was nothing like Daniel Melaye or Daniel Jonah. I went to J where i checked Jonah with anything Daniel or Melaye, i didnt find any. Lastly, i went to M where i expected to see Melaye, there was none.

To confirm if old entries were captured, i decided to check my fathers name who graduated from History department in 1978. I was shocked to see my old man's name.

Dino Melaye's name was no where in the list. From my understanding, Dino Melaye was a student of ABU for the required 4 years but needed to spillover and write 3 courses to graduate which he might have not done. It is my conviction that Dino Melaye is not a graduate of ABU Zaria unless some new evidence is shown and analysed to prove otherwise.

Punch newspapers circulated Dino's statement of result stating he graduated with B.A Arts (Geography) in 2000 whilst it contends that graduates of geography are issued B.Sc Geography. What does your school issue to geography graduates?

Believe7:

Still on Apostle Suleman/Otobo issue By Richard Akinola
This is an article written by Richard Akinola, Executive Director of Media Rights Agenda (MRA), renowned journalist and legal practitioner, on his take on the ongoing issue between Apostle Suleman and Stephanie Otobo. Please read on...
"I have followed issues raised in the press conference of Stephanie Otobo, the alleged mistress of Apostle Suleiman and a number of reactions to it but my position on the issue has not changed".
1. The fact that the lady changed her initial claim that there was a marriage introduction between her and Suleiman in her family home, after her father denied such, makes all her other claims suspect. Following her father's denial that no such introduction took place and that Suleiman had never been to his house, she now said the so-called introduction was done in the Apostle's office. That is highly preposterous. How can you have a marriage introduction in the suitor's office?
2. On her call for their passports to be checked to confirm that they travelled to Italy together:
When a stalker is desperate, he/she can go to any length to get his/her victim's attention. If you know the itinerary of your target, particularly a preacher whose international meetings are made public, a desperate stalker can go there in attempt to see the person.
Some years ago, pastor Adeboye told a story of a lady stalker, who consistently came to him to tell him that she was his ordained wife. Adeboye said he always rebuffed the lady, telling her that how can that be true when he was married. He said the lady continued to stalk him. Then, one day, he said he travelled abroad unannounced for an engagement. A day after he arrived, Adeboye said someone knocked his hotel room door and as he opened it, behold it was this same lady. Aghast, Adeboye said he didn't know how she knew he was travelling, the place he was going and his hotel. He then realised that she was not an ordinary person but an agent of the devil and out of righteous anger, he warned the lady that the next time he set his eyes on her, she would die. And that was the end of the lady's stalking.
3. If Suleiman has anything to hide the supposed amorous relationship, he would have "settled" her and not involve the police. l doubt if he would involve the police when the lady was making unreasonable financial demand, which necessitated the police to coordinate the payment of the money before she was arrested.
4. On the issue of the lady asking for call logs, here is a man, a public figure who deals with thousands of people on regular basis and counsels and gives financial assistance to many people. So, do you know how many people he would have contact with? Besides,we are in a society where, with technology, text messages are sent with peoples numbers without the person being aware of it. To me, since the matter has been charged to court, these are issues that would come up during trial, particularly during cross-examination and where the demeanor of the defendant and the complainant in the witness box would be taken into account by the magistrate and not this showmanship of media trial where the lady was describing the supposed size of Suleiman's manhood and the style he likes. To me, this smacks of premeditated, malevolent media trial meant to UnCloth the man publicly.
5. Could it be that this is just a coincidence that this scandal is coming just few weeks after Suleiman's encounter with the security over the Fulani herdsmen, and a supposed relationship that purportedly happened in 2015? Why coming out now?
6. I have lived long to know that things of this nature are not always the way they are. Or were we not here some years ago when we were regaled with the confessions of Fryo following the murder of Bola Ige, after which the guy recanted?
7. In the mid 80s, we witnessed how Justice Donald Ikomi was set up in the then Bendel state. He was a very strict no-nonsense judge as the Chairman of Bendel State Armed Robbery Tribunal, who was a thorn in the flesh of robbers. He also didn't have a good relationship with the police. He was therefore set-up. The policeman guarding his house, Corporal Uanle was murdered in the judge's house, his tongue and private part, cut off. The judge was arrested, witnesses lined up against and was charged with murder. Before the trial started, he had been retired. I covered the case. At the end of the day, the judge was discharged and acquitted for want of evidence, but not after he had been humiliated and shown the way out of the Bench by his traducers.
I am not in any way trying to defend Suleiman but my instinct tells me there is more to this that meets the eye. I am not carried away by all the salacious details of Otobo. I would rather wait for her trial in court where all the facts would be laid bare, after rigorous cross examination and evidences. I know that Suleiman has only made tentative statements on this issue, perhaps not wanting his proposed evidence in court to be ambushed. That is my reading.
And l know that Suleiman had been tried and convicted in the media but l am giving him a benefit of doubt. You don't have to agree with me but things are
not always the way they seem because there are three sides to the case- his side, her side and the truth. Waiting for the case to commence in court.

Well arguing like an informed person I wld agree that all evidences be brought and tested in a competent court.

But just last week, Otobo said Suleman had affairs with Daniella Okeke. Meanwhile one of the cars posted by Okeke on her instagram page in dec 2016 was traced to apostle Suleman dat same month im december by a programmer on nairaland exploiting a bug on Lagos state car licensing agency website. It didnt make news then. Fastforward to March 2017, when these allegations broke out, dat same car was checked for ownership and d source code of the site returned Suleman as the owner.
Within 24hrs, Okeke has removed d pics from her instagram page, d car licensing agency has removed Suleman's name...

Isnt dat more than a coincidence? What re ghey trying to hide?

4 and 5 aren't stunts. They both seem reasonable. You also have to admire their confidence and calmness during a normally nervous and tense situation.
