I think it all depends on the individual understanding and perception. HR can be convinced. I studied Food Science and Technology but Chemistry, Biochemistry and Microbiology were required.

If given the privilege, I would be able to convince any HR while Food Scientist and Technologist should be considered FIRST in a FOOD/BEVERAGE INDUSTRY before Chemistry, Microbiology and Biochemistry.

Whatever be the course of study, your aptitude and attitude are what the company is looking for. While i was doing my IT at FrieslandCampina WAMCO, I was amazed and surprised when my direct supervisor told me that she studied Physics. She was very good at her job and you would think she studied food science and tech. Of course she got in through management trainee.

Management trainee is about what you know and how fast you can learn more

Bro, yes you are right but that was for GRADUATE TECHNICAL TRAINEE POSITION. Only for graduate engineers with HND or a 2.2. Yes guys with 2.1 registered for the position, they were called for test, some made it to interview but NBC did not pick them because they don't need them, two of my guys were not called after the interview because they made 2.1. Dragnet shouldn't have invited them for test in the first place.
Now this is a MANAGEMENT TRAINEE POSITION, according to the advert for this position, HND and 2.2 guys are not needed. This position is for graduate with 2.1, 1st class and masters degree holders. Graduate of Engineering, Science and Social Science can apply for this position depending on the course they studied in school. Graduate technical trainee and management trainee are two different programmes with different recruitment process.
Yes some guys with HND and 2.2 will apply for this position, even guys whose course are not stated in the three categories will also apply. Dragnet might call them for test, some might make it to interview but at the end NBC has the final say because they know what they want. Guys might get lucky this time.

I was there once so I'm quite familiar with the whole Graduate trainee and Management trainee programs

Bro are you sure about what you said? This is management trainee not trainee technician or something. As a management trainee, you are expected to know the principle of operations of various machine in the plant, what happens next after a step in brewing, how machines are synchronised to each other, you are supposed to know what to tell the management when there is downtime, you are supposed to be able to relate well with the technicians on duty, you don't operate on shift, you work from 8am to 5pm, you should be able to supervise and give instructions when needed, you are to attend meetings, you will be shuffling between classes and the field. You will read books and tire, you will write tests and exams if need be, you will be trained to become the boss because you will be given a management position when you are through with your training. The training last for 2years or so. I don't know how NBC do their management trainees but as for NB, you are the boss, in fact, you are made. Those technicians will be under you, you have to humble yourself or else they Bleep you up. The only people above you in rank are the managers every other person is under you. Come and see small children controlling their fathers.......... That is why companies require those who finish with a 2.1, first Class and those with masters degree for management trainee position, some companies don't accept first degree, masters only.

You said it all. That is the same way it runs at Nestlé.

Well I think if you are using a laptop after you are imputing your data and have clicked on proceed to apply you can log out. Then log in via your phone and click on the single profile page then click on the proceed to apply that was how I generated the screenshot I posted on this trend.

Supply chain is way out of the scope of the courses you wrote above.
You can still relate to Manufacturing with Bio, Micro and Chem. I'll advise you go for Manufacturing because it is like the main processing involved, I mean production itself.

There is no where to submit or resubmit. All that is required of you is to fill in the details whether you have applied before or had difficulties during your previous application. It's a fresh start for everybody. Your login details signify that you have applied already. I believe because of glitches, you are only required to fill in the details and upload the necessary documents. Do not bother yourself looking for where to click submit or apply button.

Dragnet can be anywhere. It's just for them to rent a CBT venue for the test at any part of the country. Just that dates might differ, the most important thing is to be sure the state you reside was advertised on their website.

But the only location on their website is Lagos..

No preference, I checked their website, virtually all the states are represented. It will even be better for you to put Oyo where competition will not be high. I choosed to write the test/interview and work in Ebonyi. As for those confused of salary range, you need to research well in how much they pay their Graduate trainee, to avoid making mistakes, as this may be a ploy to reduce.
