Depends on what you actually earn and what the salary threshold for your job is. If you work part-time, the actual salary you receive must be above the salary threshold for your occupation code in order for you to qualify for sponsorship

For instance, the minimum salary you can earn under the health and care category in the NHS is £23,200 for a full-time job (known as 1 FTE). If you are working part time, i.e. a percentage of the standard 37.5 hours a week - lets assume 30 hours a week, which is equivalent to 80% of 37.5 hours (which will be 0.8 FTE), - then your prorated annual salary would be 80% of £23,200, which is obviously less than the minimum salary so you can't be sponsored.

So you need to determine what your actual salary is and compare it to the minimum salary for your occupation code to give you an idea of whether you can be sponsored or not.

https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/skilled-worker-visa-going-rates-for-eligible-occupations/skilled-worker-visa-going-rates-for-eligible-occupation-codes
Thank you for this.
I think if danny34 would also clarify if the role would be a full time role by the time he's rounding up his masters, it could give better context and if you can shed more light on that instance.
I'm also on a part time role with a LA and I know with the calculations above, the part time porated annual salary doesn't qualify for sponsorship.

Hi, the new entrant visa allows you a discount of 70% on the going rate salary to be sponsored for a skilled worker visa. The going rate is occupation specific, you can check what the relevant rate is using the occupation code of the role you are interested in.
Thank you!

£23,200 as already advised.

However it would have to be an NHS health and care role to sponsor your dependents. Other care workers have been banned from adding their dependants.
Hi👋
Jumping on this too cos I have a similar question with that of the Op.
But mine is drawn towards the New entrant visa category. What's the minimum salary that can be sponsored for someone switching from Students Visa into Tier 2? *This is asides the NHS or healthcare sector*

If POF is in a domiciliary dollar account, does someone have to preform transaction on it to make it active? Or it doesn't matter?
I have no reason/need to make a transaction on the account.
It depends on you. During my time I made 1 transaction where I just deposited 10$ and I think luckily there was card maintenance fee too or Apple Music subscription, one of those during the 28day period and that was it.
The ECO understands that $ isn’t the main legal tender in Nigeria and so less expectations on a huge transaction record.

Please house good day. Please I need your advice. I lied to my school I have never been refused visa. I have been to the UK 4 times on four different visa ( visiting visa). The 5th time I applied I was refused visiting visa and now I Want to go through study route.
I got offer letter from the school already and I have paid my deposit. I have not yet received my CAS, the CAS shield is not yet opened for my batch.
My question is this, will my CAS state I have never been refused visa to the embassy?
I'll let the gurus answer a part of the question but I just want you to note - ENSURE YOU DECLARE ALL VISITS AND REFUSAL WHEN APPLYING FOR VISA.
They will find out at the embassy if you don't declare and you can be refused visa

Is it safe to accept multiple admission offers from UK please?
Yes it is.
Infact it is advised so because you have other plan B, plan C and Plan D.
However, when you eventually decide, you pay your deposit for just one and then that particular school will process your Confirmation of Acceptance of Studies (CAS).

Hello everyone,

Pls I got a DBS letter posted to me (subject says thank you for your recent application for a DBS check).
I'm aware that a company is running that for me, but the letter does not state whether successful, completed or stuff. I got details in the letter on checking online but still didn't see any certificate updated in my profile.

Does the letter mean it's been successful? And how do I even see the certificate for my use as that is my first DBS check. Thanks

EO is the grade. Like NHS has bands ...4,5,6..., etc, the civil service has AO, EO, SEO etc.

Within and among specific government departments, roles might be called different things even though they're on the same band.

So, yes, the DWP Job Coach roles are EO grade roles, but there might be other EOs within the DWP doing roles other than Job Coach.

Also, the policies regarding sponsorship are likely applicable to specific roles, not their banding per se. Just like the NHS might sponsor a band 3 healthcare assistant but not a band 3 secretary, the DWP and other departments may sponsor EO cybersecurity analysts but not Job Coaches. There's really no way to know unless you ask directly before or during the recruitment process, or you hear from someone with direct knowledge, like a previous applicant.
Oh I see. This did quite some justice.
Thank you

Yeah, most job coach are EO and above, a friend working in dwp told me that they refused job coach visa sponsorship
Still kinda confused tho huh
I'm this inquisitive cos I applied for the Job coach role, but all email correspondence lately is EO, so I assumed EO=Job coach

EO and above and I don’t think DWP offer sponsorship for the JOB COACH role.

A friend got sponsorship at AO role with DWP tho she was moving from student visa directly to work visa.

Someone else wasn’t given for the AO because the person is moving from a work visa.

Seems hmrc could sponsor EO (will not sponsor AO), same as DWP.

Best bet is to start working with them with other visa say like graduate visa, the chances of getting visa will be high. For instance, on norms Ministry of defense don’t sponsor visa if the job is not on shortage occupation list, but someone got the sponsorship because the person has been working with them while on graduate visa.
Hi, thanks for the input.
I always thought the EO is same as the Job coach role. Could you kindly clarify?

Hello guys, I'll like more clarity on the changes to Students Visa.
A parent recently moved to the UK, studying Sept 23 session while the dependant child still in Nigeria. Come Jan 24 and after, can the child still be granted visa or it has to be before January?
Or the changes affect only those whose academic session starts Jan 24

But most student would likely to be eligible.

Meanwhile, guys don't miss out on the abundant opportunities over at the Civil Service job website.

There are a lots of roles available, and some listings are looking to fill a substantial number of positions I'm talking 80, 100, 250, and even 600 spots for some roles.

Don't forget, the more the number of people needed to fill the role, the better your chances are of landing a position

And, for students, while you're studying, consider applying aswell, Many full-time jobs listed also accommodate part-time work, perfect for fitting around your study schedule.

I've seen this firsthand in my previous department, where my colleagues from 9ja and India worked part-time while studying.

A majority of the full-time roles are flexible, allowing you to fulfill your 20 hours while gaining that needed UK work experience.

I believe there might be an option to transition to full-time after your studies (though you might want to double-check that).

If you are very desperate for job I would advise you filter the job grade for Administrative Officer role, hopefully with 3-8 applications you could get one or more.
Thank you for sharing. Do you know if they give sponsor 🤔
