To suppose ignorance is bliss is but a grave calumny, against oneself and against humanity. Ignorance is a menace, a cankerworm, a tragedy, a calamitous travesty to say the very least, the love for it, even an ounce, an arrogant and loathsome exposition of bovinity. Ignorance is a deadly disease and we all are born with it, sadly some work hard to be stupid. You're a product of your decisions, your actions and inactions give shape, sound, visual and meaning to your life, each and every aspect of it. ignorance will see you lead a life devoid of truth, facts and honestly, honesty too, in its most raw form, the consequences of which are a myriad of problems, undesirable, useless, needless and worthless difficulties. So why make the solemn decision, overtly or covertly, actively or passively, to nurture and live with the chronic and cataclysmic virus of ignorance? As far as knowledge goes, You were born broke and penniless, those incredibly awesome brain cells in your cranium totally devoid of knowledge and information, of all kinds and in all forms. You were born with ignorance does not mean you should die with it. You've been living with it, happily and blissfully does not mean you cannot live without it, even more happily and more blissfully. When you were but a toddler, you knew next to nothing, consciously unconscious of your surroundings, everything and everyone around you. In this state of conscious unconsciousness of your mind, you gained knowledge, in bits and pieces however. Knowledge about a language or languages thanks to your language acquisition device. Along with the knowledge of language came other pieces of information about life as you grew older, life within the world you live and beyond - religion, tradition, ethics, morals, etc. To fully and officially recognise, establish, augment an accelerate this process, you were placed in an environment exclusively designed for it. The process was hard, challenging and daunting, riddled with a barrage of intricacies and complexities, a substantial number of which you thought next to impossible to surmount. In the midst of all these has your life been encumbered by highs and lows, ups and downs you never foresaw. But The more you knew, the more you felt bigger, stronger, empowered and energized, to do more than anyone can ever imagine. Dreams hopes, ambitions and aspirations were formed. Truth be told, some were unrealistic, impractical and unachievable. But the bar has been set, the standard has been raised way too high to be lowered. The water has flowed way to far and wide to be scooped again. Hopes are high, as high as they have been raised, expectations bubbles are all over the atmosphere. But slowly and steadily, they've began to burst, ripples of which have greatly ravaged the atmosphere of all your ambitions, dreams and aspirations. They're beginning to mock your every move, everything you say, think or do, the food you eat, the water you drink and even the air you breathe, they audaciously deride your every ride, making merchandise of your misery and pain, in the midst of all the knowledge you have gained, ignorance still seems to overpower and overwhelm all your knowledge, lies seem to have overtaken your truths. Your impracticality is weighing down on your practical nature, your idealism is pummelling ferociously the realistic side of you, crippling your reality on all sides, causing your causing the feeble walls of your world to tremble, so hard like they're going to crumble. Nigerian Army has launched the use of drones among other new technologies in its fight against Boko Haram. This was shared by Lt. Gen. Tukur Buratai, the Chief of Army Staff (COAS), as be fielded questions at a dinner and media interactive session organised for editors and defence correspondents in Maiduguri on Saturday. According to Buratai, the Applications of drones and new technologies were crucial in modern warfare if the successful implementation of the counter insurgency campaign is to real guaranteed. Adding that the process was effective in execution of its operations against the dreaded Boko Haram insurgents, he also disclosed that the army had utilised drones in surveillance and research. Buratai said: “now, even the uniform is technology-based, it will be tagged wherever you are; it sends signal when you are in danger, and these issues are very important. “Technology is playing important role in warfare and we are not left out; we have in place a transformation and innovation department. The department is working on research and developments not only on basic equipment but equally more scientific and technological facilities to enable us to carry out our operations. Earlier today, it was said Yemi Alade called out Tiwa savage for increasing her butt sizes on photos she shares on social media, that she advised Tiwa along with anyone who cares to listen to be their true selfs, to showcase their natural God given body and not subject it to and change particularly I'm an attempt to deceive their fans. She said: "Stop increasing your ynash in your pictures! You know you are straight like “I” embrace your real self ! Ahh ahh. Deceiving fans up and dan." As an ardent proponent of being ones truest and purest self, I'd point out that the above is not and advice but rather an insult intended to demean, humiliate and make one feel less of themselves. You don't sound so condescending or throw jibes at someone you're trying to encourage, to motivate to be or embrace their true self. They already feel small or bad enough over lacking one thing or the order they want and feel they deserve. Taking swipes at them in such a manner as Yemi Alade did, in the course of advising people to embrace their true selves will only compel them to descend down to your level in retaliation. If Yemi had said something like: "Stop increasing your yash in your pictures to please anybody. You're beautiful and amazing just the way you are." The message would have been clear that she meant no harm and only wants to get Tiwa to embrace her real self as she claims. But what she said was nothing short of a personal attack. It was a statement that was clearly intended to hurt and to cut, to create and fill the atmosphere with negative energy, to bring down one's fighting spirit.
