In the state of California there is a law called common law marriage, that is when a couple is living together but they aren't married, under this law if the man and woman have been living as husband and wife for a certain amount a time and they decide to break up, "palimony" which is a form of alimony can be provided. All of the properties can be divided as if they were married. As far as the baby mama situation, unless they were living together she is only entitled to child support. That mother thing would have to be worked out between the both of them and if he wants to kick his baby mama out of the house he had better be able to pay for her expenses (rent, clothing, food and child support) because that's the only way he can get her to leave the house "and that's only if she agrees to leave". Actually it's the same as being married without having to divorce if you are done.
