MalcoImX: I listened to Buhari`s interview with Channels TV and heard lots of `my party will decide`. So far, Buhari has not shown any sign of opposing his party on any issue. He did not like the cost of purchase of nomination form yet could not take a stand against it as one of the pillars of the party. He even conceeded his right to choose a running mate to Tinubu, a party member of equal standing like him self. I am really at loss at what made you believe that Buhari will be different from who he is now. 14 Likes 1 Share |

He was fighting `kwarrupshon`. You dont`t know it is `kwarrupshon` that make people to execute projects? It was this same `kwarrupshon` that made GEJ to transform the Abuja-Lokoja express way, the rail sector and made a positive difference in our airports for the first time in years. This is exactly what he is coming to fight. Have you ever heard Buhari talk about building infrastructure? For the 20 months he was there, none was initiated and none was completed under his watch. He hated `kwarrupshon` so much that he has remained unproductive as a human beign tor the past 20 years. No fresh ideas, no local or international engagement, no business interest, no extra education, no peace keeping advisory, no NGO, heck! He could not even pretend like Dino Melaye. The only `productive` thing Buhari has done over the last 20 years was getting his wife pregnant!! 47 Likes 6 Shares |

APC well oiled propaganda machine at work. Meanwhile: http://www.premiumtimesng.com/news/top-news/173537-ill-everything-possible-jonathan-win-2015-lamido.html So which do we believe? This report is not saying that Lamido made any statements indicating that he will not support GEJ re-election, Vanguard is saying that because the President's posters were not aired during the rally, therefore Lamido does not support the President. You see exactly the reason why hot tempered men like BUHARI jail journalists for 100 years? 20 Likes |

Eziachi: If you had read the report carefully, you would have noted that the registrar of ABU have certified that he attended the University within the period contained in his claim and also identified the incident that befell original copies of his certificates as the reason he is re-certifying his records. I don't know exactly the part you are having problems understanding. With your exposure, I expect you to know that such re-certification as was issued by the school registrar is subject to at least 2 documents: Police report to the respect of the fire incident and a court affidavit. I know because I once had cause to re-certify a lost document. We have been around on this forum for a while and I have reasons to respect your deep sense of history. However, I think your recent postings are no more as powered by insights as they were few years ago. |

omarlee: Your position is not doing Buhari any favours. You are telling us that Buhari is afraid of discussing his human rights records and so should not appear before the panel under the guise of illegality? Nigerians wanted the panel to heal the wounds of military era inflicted by men like Buhari and the best your hero could do is to turn his back on the hurting Nigerians? The same people he want to be their President? Are you even aware that your Buhari justified the sack of a democratic government (with all its weaknesses) during the last Channels TV interview and his reason was that the Shagari led democratic government was 'kworrupt'? And this is the man you want to benefit from the same democracy at the highest level? The man has no democratic credentials, his ideas are rooted in the medieval era. What is the difference between the public flogging of thieves in Somalia and the flogging of Nigerians for not queueing up to buy milk or sugar in shops? That is how archaic the man's ideas are. |

Funny article from Sahara Reporters. Only cowards attack their opponent's wife, more so with this kind of lies. Real men face their opponents directly. SO the proof that Patience Jonathan is involved in oil bunkering is that Oshomole said that we are not producing as much as we should? What logic!! This is exactly one of the reason Buhari imprison journalists. 4 Likes |

If 2015 election campaign is to be run of facts, Buhari will have a difficult time. He has a terrible records in human rights, democracy, statesmanship, economy management, fresh ideas and creativity. His style is inherently brute force. He seem not to even believe in institutionalizing his efforts for long lasting effect. He has no ideas on 21st century democracy. I heard him on the last Channels TV interview justify the sack of Shagari's government. The guy is an unrepentant dictator. If this election is to be issue based, he has lost the election even before the contest. Forget the online noise, it is part of the brute force strategy. His campaign so far has been based on lies. That is why APC will make all the efforts to induce mass hysteria in the election campaign just like Buhari's followership up North. For the enlightened southerners shouting 'Sai Buhari', you should ask your self why the kind of people that share such chants with you up North are more of Almajiris and social misfits. A deliberate insight into the man's record will wean you off such chants, that is one thing that Almajiris are incapable of doing and that is exactly why they are Buhari's supporters. That is what I call mass hysteria!! 10 Likes 4 Shares |

barcanista: You seem to be making frantic efforts to defend the right of Buhari's regime to suppress press freedom. Funny enough, your reasons are not too different from those of Buhari and the North Korean supreme leader. You are not doing the old man any favours. You are not only telling sane Nigerians that Buhari was right to suppress Press freedom in 1984, you are also telling us that HE WILL BE RIGHT TO DO IT AGAIN in 2015. After all a disciplined man will always do what is 'right' wherever, whenever. It is getting interesting, really. |
Politics / Re: President Jonathan To Buy New Executive Jet by FrankC3: 7:32am On Dec 24, 2014 |
From this article, despite frantic efforts by SH to sound alarmist, it is still very clear that no new jet is being purchased, rather a trade in is being done for one of the available jets. For those who know, in such procurements, manufacturer trade in could be aimed at achieving sustained warranty support, equipment and spare parts availability and to save money in the long run. It is often more expensive to maintain an older model of a product than to trade it in for a new one with better features. That is part of why firms change even official cars after 3 years most times. Is the size of the Nigeriam Government large, yes! Is this particular procurement a wastage, we do not have enough information to say yet. During budget defence, the leader of Presidential Airfleet will be on ground to present his reasons and APC NASS members will have their chance to engage in logic and not all this emotional outburst by farmiliar handles on NL. 7 Likes 3 Shares |
Politics / Re: What Was Yemi Osinbajo's Role In The Sgt. Rogers/al-mustapha Saga? by FrankC3: 12:39pm On Dec 23, 2014 |
Funny enough, most APC supporters seem to be strong disciples of Decree 84. There is a concensus among them that any attempt to look at the record of their party flagbearers must be rebuffed with insults. In 1984, it was jail term. In 2014, it is massive insults just because they do not have the power to jail. What is wrong in asking questions about the records of a man who could just be a President death away from thr number one position? He should explain his role and why Rogers mentioned his name. And Buhari followers should relax and get cogent answers from their principal. That is how democracy works, an idea that Buhari hated so much that he once sacked a democratic leadership in this country. Insults doesnt cut it!a 6 Likes |

Why is the APC insistent on dividing this country along religious lines? The hypocrisy is accusing the President of thesame thing they are vehemently doing. It is clear that APC has no bankable agenda for Nigeria. Tell us what your Buhari will do in the face of the dwindling oil earnings. Will he still stabilize the oil market? Tell us exactly how he will address corruption in NNPC in a democratic setting. How will he do to move Nigeria forward and not backward. Will Buhari want to jail me for saying my opinion? |
Business / Re: Job Losses Loom As Naira Sells 194 To Dollar by FrankC3: 7:47am On Dec 20, 2014 |
For me, this is the opportunity for us to allow the naira assume it's actual value in the market. The CBN, Finance Ministry and the National Planning office know exactly what is going on. I dont think naira is being devalued, its value has always been falsely maintained by squandering our foreign reserve. It is time to take off the protectionist glove and let the naira gain value on the merits of improved production, employment generation and real economic activity not on the back of foreign reserve, afterall Nigerians are not happy with debt. We can't eat our cake and have it. It takes ball to do what is happening now in an election period. Dollars will be injected early next year to firm it a little but we should fold our sleeves to build on a solid foundations of agriculture, manufacturing and services that earn foreign exchange. 35 Likes |

Only a coward takes a shot at a man's wife to get at him. Real men confront their opponents directly. Fact is that most of those that attack PEJ also attack other women doing well in their chosen areas of interest. Most of them ensure that their wives remain slaves to them and to them, women should be restricted to the kitchen. Does that sound like Soyinke and his likes on NL? Don't worry about those people, they cannot help themselves. They feel more like a man by attacking women. Most of them cannot even look in the eyes of successful women or suffering from erectile dysfunction. Just pity them and recommend a therapy if you know one. 15 Likes |

deleib: This is the truth of the matter. APC should stop conjuring non existent ideas just to make themselves feel important. Osibanjo is never a politician, never handled any public executive position, no experience in politics and political strategy, not different from any other former commissioner from Jigawa or Gombe and never a threat to a political party that has defeated the opposition many times over. Actually, PDP has just been handed another opportunity to defeat Buhari, a task they are so good at that when the victim saw the magnitude of his loss the last time, he broke down in tears. |

chamboy: More important than a 'sai Buhari' is how will a Buhari administration manage industrial actions like the recent JOHESU problem? Will he turn a blind eye to them, negotiate with them (and if this is an answer, I would love to know his threshold) or will he jail the labour leaders in question? It is only when a Buhari talk about issues like this that Nigerian will start appraising how adjusted he is from him military mindset and ready for democracy. This is not 'I will fight kworruption matter'. |

lincy: Here you are praising a man who uses his State resources to finance the political campaign of another man who makes anti corruption the major thrust of his campaign. People are beginning to wonder whether there are different definitions for corruption. Does diverting the resources of your State by a Governor to fund political campaign of your party not amount to corruption just because APC is involved? How about a Presidential candidate who is promising anti corruption hanging out with an Atiku and a Tinubu or an Amaechi? It seems that in APC, if you steal your State resources, carefully cover your track and funnel same funds to the Presidential campaign on a man who promises to fight corruption, then it is al right. Nigerians are watching...with eyes wide open. We are not fools. |
Politics / Re: Jonathan Finally Signs National Health Bill Into Law by FrankC3: 10:23am On Dec 10, 2014 |
mrvitalis: You are highly uninformed. A bill gives a policy a legal framework to run. However, such policy MUST be executed under the control executive control, so there is need for each bill to undergo executive scrutiny by the Attorney General of the Federation to ensure that it is consistent with other existing laws and does not contradict any law. If it does, he will advise the President who will channel his concerns to the Legislature for tinkering. This process takes time but that is exactly how democracy runs. After when ALL legal angle has been cleared, the executive have to start putting government structures in place to drive such bills and such structures include personnel, materials and logistics. Sometimes, if the government is trying to cut cost, this delays the actual signing until things are ready because a signed bill is a LAW, binding on ALL arms of government. Law making is a process and not an event. We should encourage our government to do things right, not just do the right things. Myopic minds see 2015 elections when an important bill like this is signed. It shows how shallow and uninformed some folks really are. 2 Likes |

Politics / Re: Buhari Live On Channels TV by FrankC3: 10:22am On Dec 08, 2014 |
Part of what Buhari supporters should be trying to do is to explain what Buhari will do with most projects like the new 3050MW, $5b mabmilla power pjoject contract with the Chinese if he is voted into power. Will he sustain them or scrap them as he did the Lagos Rail Mass Transit project in 1985? What will be the fate of Eastern rail network? What of the privatized power sector? Will he support or scrap the local content drive? How will he force the owners of refinery license to build refinery in the country? Does he believe that government should be building refineries or get involved in businesses? How does he intend to stop the corruption in the NNPC, National Assembly and Judiciary? What are his political thoughts on free press? Does he still believe that Abacha is not corrupt? How will he address an erring contractor in a democracy? What will his first 5 decisions be if a bomb goes off in the nation's largest power plant? What will be his response if China and India caves in to pressure from the US to stop buying our oil? What will the official foreign policy position of his government of terrorst groups like ISIS, BH and Al Shabab? What key decision calls will he make to advance the position of Nigeria as a regional power? These are the questions I want to hear Buhari answer, reasonable answers to questions like these is the only way to convince most undecided, not all these talks of fighting 'kwarrupshion'. 4 Likes |

DVanguard: This is one trait that Buhari and his supporters have in common. Why do you find it easy to accuse those who do not share your political opinion as being blinded by hatred and envy? You do not like GEJ, his supporters are civil enough to consider it your right. Why are you stuck in 1983 like your master? What most of you don't seem to understand is that in a democracy, which most of you in APC know nothing about, a PhD holder in political philosophy has the same number of vote as the unschooled market woman in remote Nembe. Here you are making efforts to prove that Tinubu is not corrupt while at the same time accusing the FG of corruption. Can't you see the problem in your position? You have no right to label anybody for holding a contrary political opinion in a democracy. The best you can do is to persuade them and not malign them. Well, it is obvious that persuasion is very strange to most people of your political colouration. 10 Likes |

Politics / Re: Days After US Diplomats Queries Military Training Cancelation by FrankC3: 8:26am On Dec 04, 2014 |
I think the Americans are the ones hiding their heads in the sand here. The impression they are trying to create here is that they just started military training of our boys in April. I don't think that is exactly the truth, the Americans have always trained our military boys as far back as I can remember. At least this link will give credence to that: http://www.africafocus.org/docs03ej/mil0303.php What is actually baffling is that after decades of training our military boys, their trainers turn around to accuse those they trained of human rights abuse. It is either the trainees were taught right (how to 'abuse human rights') or the trainers were not good enough to impart how not to abuse human rights. The Nigerian government has to review her engagements with her partners and streamline where she put her resources and who her friends really are. The trainings were not free, we paid for them. We chose Americans over other countries for some reasons and those reasons do not hold up any more. They train our boys and turn around to accuse them of human right abuse, they came to help us take down BH and rescue the 'Chibok girls' but turned around to accuse our boys of being weak. And besides, Americans have no history of defeating insurgency anywhere in the world. They have not faced home grown terrorist group with deep engagement with local communities and political and religious leaders before, they have not experienced locals strapping bombs on themselves and walking into a mall to explode it, so as far as I am concerned, they have nothing to teach us on our present challenge. Actually, all their engagement with terrorists in foreign soils escalates the situation. To kill Osama, they violated another countries air space, violated their sovereignty which is an act of war in itself, swooped on the man when he was fast asleep and had the means and option to capture him alive and extract him alive to face 'justice through the law courts', they chose to kill the man extra-judicially. I have no love for Osama but what they are accusing our military of doing, they did more. Maybe, just maybe, they are the ones teaching our boys how to 'abuse human rights' and based on that, the Nigerian government has to cancel such cancerous trainings. That could be seen as the first step in fighting 'human right abuse' in our military. 6 Likes |

The FG policy makes sense to me. If after decades of training our officers and men, they are still being accused by those who trained them of human rights abuse, then something is not just wrong with the trainee but also the trainer. On the side note, Obama's administration has failed on many fronts but one area it is most pronounced is in engagement with Africa and even his domestic black constituency. Under which other administration has the bilateral ties between USA and the regional powers in Africa been so strained? Under the guy, America lost considerable influence in Africa to China and even Russia. American training of Nigerian forces has been like a tradition for ages, why exactly it ended under Mr Obama is a worry to me, knowing quite well the influence package that comes with such agreements. |

Just look at the background of that pix and see the 'eldorado' Fashola has made of Lagos. Some people actually equate media hype and ceremonies to commission street lights for governance. Most random pictures of Lagos does not look better than this, unless @Aresa a.k.a Eko Ile is the one posting it. A visit to Lagos will get you wondering where the development is exactly. And the clown still has the guts to point fingers at the FG for bad governance, as if Lagos is anywhere near Abuja in terms of development and city management. 5 Likes 1 Share |
